Thank you for taking the time to give us the advice bro, I enjoy reading this threadOk, you seem to be gone and therefore no back and forth dialogue, but let me tell you why your wrong. First, have you ever brewed before? When you get your powders do you order sterile raw test e powders? No? OK, so let me hit you up with a bit of knowledge. Your shit ain't sterile in the beaker. Why would you need a sterile beaker? What needs to be sterile is from the moment it passes through the filter. We haven't gotten to that part. The beaker is very clean, but not sterile.
And... not sure what your talking about when it comes to water spots. Are you referring to my pics of the setup I took? If so I wasn't brewing. I grabbed a beaker that hasnt been cleaned and an already used filter. I wasn't gonna prep everything to take a few pics. The has no affect on the process, though. But I'm glad your here to school me on the process. Me... the inexperienced person who's never done this before.
1. First piece of useful info from you.Anyone in this business long enough knows not to even use this group as they have been known to share customer data with LE....They also use other website names as well. One way to tell is their webpage design is identical, only difference is the web address....
You come into an uncensored board where there are drugs and drug dealers and you expect people to be professional? You are in the wrong place for that my friend.I simply made a few comments, and once I did I was attacked as not knowing what I am talking about....So for that alone I will not add any input as I will just get attacked. I leave my ego outside of the forums, apparently that isnt the case for many in this thread. I have helped numerous "cooks" with recipes that very few have or even know how to create. I help my competitors become better so that all within the community can benefit. But the last thing I need or want is for arguments to occur when I comment on a subject matter that I know very well. We can "agree" to "disagree" but when the comments go over and beyond a certain level of professionalism, its no longer a benefit for me to respond. I can guarantee many of you on here have used my products in the past as I have been around for many many years private labeling for many labs. Again I have nothing to gain by sharing my vast knowledge on how to brew properly....But I wont due to the attacks right out of the gate....
If Doc backs you up then cool my bad for attaching you but you did come in with a negative attitude. We all try to help each other out around here. It is by pm. @XKawN helped a ton when I wanted to transfer oil from the media bottle. All through pm and the process worked flawless. Anyhow was also razzing you to see if you had thick skin. Relax this is Meso ya know
Whenever I'm around, WitchDoctor wears a sign on his back with an arrow pointing to his ass that says "Caution, slippery when wet"....
As a person that doesn't brew his own shiet.. I find it very good reading and knowing the process.. Would I try it one day? probably not, since the wife's ok with me using gear and even pinning my ass.. She will not give me blessing especially with kids around the house (totally understand!)..
I am in shock at the procedures and theories on how gear is made and how to disinfect lab gear.....In college you would not get a passing grade....Those who went to college and took lab based coarses know better....
For one the lab instruments would never sit upside down on a hot plate and get labeled as "sterile". That hot plate could contain bacteria, spores, viruses that can withstand the heat of a hotplate.
Water spots on glasswear is caused from minerals in the water or in the example in the procedures from bleach that wasnt rinsed all the way. In a professional lab setup only distilled water is used, never water from a municipal source.....
There are so many errors in the procedures, but I am not going to comment on each one, the person who wrote the procedures is using a "MacGyver" type of approach in making gear. It may work well for him and his followers but sooner or later someone will get ill or sick with these less than sterile procedures.
I hope he comes up with something. I think we all knew It was distilled water you use.
What water marks?

I don't think its meant to be sterile. Just clean and dry. Even if it was as soon as you add your powder it is unsterile. This is not the important part as the filtering and what you do after is the important part in regards to keeping it sterile post filtering
Again do some research, filtered water is water that has been filtered, its not purified water. Why, because there are many type of filters that can be used, similar to using a 45, 22 or 10 filter in filtering gear, each filter type allowing less particles in the final product. Whereas distilled water uses a distillation process where all contaminants are boiled out of the water. This process also removes salts, metals and minerals, giving distilled water a curiously neutral or “flat” taste. Because of its lack of taste and contaminants, distilled water is often used in science labs.
Being "shocked" doesnt equal "sideways"....
In my sterilization process, with the filtered water there is boiling/steam, Temps of 500f for hours involved, etc. I think my process is adequate, thank you. Doesn't matter how well done the process is there will always be someone who comes in and says it's wrong. Doesn't matter about the process, the experience, the end result... there will always be "that guy". Lol.
The guy has a point.
You can use distilled water for the final washing state if you want, that's what pro labs use.
The top beaker doesn't need to be sterile.
The bottle below the vacuum filter MUST be sterile and it is not by XK procedure.
My favorite proven glassware sterilization method, used in pro labs:
After washing and drying, dip glassware in alcohol, make sure it no longer drips
then FLAME it
something like this
but with a smaller bottle and with alcohol on the outside as well
For safety don't use matches or smoking lighters
at least use a kitchen lighter

That's understandable. I use very little gear but like trying new stuff to brew. Waste of money as I seldom use it and just give it away to a friend
GoodI do sterilize the 500ml media bottle as well as stoppers and vials. As I said, anything past the filtering needs to be sterile.

This is fucking hilarious. I used to use Agent Orange, I'll go to napalm now... Cheaper. That is the one of the most ridiculous things you've ever said and you've said many ridiculous things. That is no sterilization method unless your IQ is negative.
So, your saying you need to sterilize your beaker before you add unsterile products and making the beaker, once again, unsterile?Top beaker, bottom beaker, side beakers, bottomless beakers, beakers with Justin Bieber pics on them....One would assume if your sterilizing your using only 1 method in order to save time and be efficient....So yes all those beakers above plus vials and any other items needed to be sterilized would follow the same procedures regardless if sterilization is necessary or needed.
Splashing some alcohol and using a flame isnt sterilization....Crazy ideas on a forum like this will result in someones house burning down or possibly 3rd degree burns or some other disfiguring outcome. This isnt an episode of Mythbusters....
