Your physique insecurities

That’s from the tris not bis imo, Mabe if u just did rope pull downs for tris nothing else besides ur pressing movements.

I have carpenters elbow like a mofo and i quit all tri exercises minus cable tri extensions.

I think tris get way more stimulation on pressing movements that I feel bi’s on back movements. That’s me personally I know everyone has different bio mechanics.

that equals less tri work and more bi work. Who has bis more sore than tris?
I agree, if you’re doing back movements properly you aren’t getting a lot for your biceps.

Some of my issues may well be irrational when you look at the situation more broadly. By that I mean most of the members here who are actually into bodybuilding probably have a more chiseled physique than about 99.9% of the overall population.

The thing is, we are not comparing our bodies to the 99%. We are comparing them to the cohort of less than 1%.

So when you look at the situation through that lens, I think it often has less to do with body dysmorphia and more to do with the fact that within our specific niche that standards are just incredibly high.

sometimes I think I might slightly have but then I don’t really think I do, Mabe just basic insecurities.
I do look in the mirror and groom a lot. And I really don’t like the way I look with my shirt off enless I have somewhat of a pump, my wife always tells me when we are at the beach or lake or hiking to pop the top take my shirt off and I do, just not to look insecure to her plus I need the tan, and even though I have way more muscle than ur average dude. Even when I’m camping I take dumbells and do pushups I’m a weirdo.

I just look in the mirror after a good workout and think damn I wish I walked around looking like this.

How many pounds of muscle do you guys equate ur pump look to flat look would be on the hang? 5ibs min 10 max?

What do u guys think I may get that extra 10ibs of steel one day. Then I may feel the same as I do now and want another 5-10?

I will always feel the same. Will never be enough. I am Sick.

I have a scar that runs all the way down from the top of the cervical region to the lumbar region. Wire in my left jaw from TMJ and boxing. All fucked up, but manage to stay in great shape . It’s the stomach stuff that sets me back the most, I can handle the back pain and hip pain. IMG_4225.webp
Not really a insecurity but I have something similar. I thought I was getting scoliosis, but it hasent got that far. I think it’s called Sherman’s disease? Wedged shape vertebrae that can turn to scoliosis? Sorry I’m not a dr. lol. They said it was from football injuries because I Dident have it at a young age, not untill later after sports and injuries. “Just keep that back strong lower mid and especially upper, is what I’ve been told.

I know people who have had those rods put in for the scoliosis, do u have the zipper scar down ur spine?

Weird I have a friend a marine hit by ied, he Lost like 50% of his hearing and 50% control of his bladder “urinary” control, he won’t wear pads or diapers so he told me he puts his c0ck in a sock like wrestlers lol

Certainly I think a lot of us start with that.

I must admit as I have seasoned and gotten older, staying roughly the same for 15 years (except for a 2 year bout with Chemo and Hodgekins) I really have graduated to just enjoying the power and masculinity of “feeling” my body move.

It truly has become my zen.

I won’t say I am “satisfied”. That word doesn’t translate well to high performers who enjoy pushing limits and their own goals.

However, I stopped taking validation from the opinions of others a decade or two ago. One of the best things I ever did in my life.

Off topic…. I get hit on more now than when I was in my 30s and 20s. Especially in California. My wife just laughs. I am completely flabbergasted by it. Like multiple times a week.

She claims it is the salt and pepper. I made her promise to never call me a “silver” fox again lol

War Scars brother…. All Lions have them… wear them with pride. They demonstrate without doubt…you were stronger than what tried to take you down.
