Lately I feel like I am not as strong as I should be, or could be or whatever. Sure- injury, injury, injury blah blah blah. I am trying to get an idea of how accurate my body dismorphia and training inferiority complex is.

I really don't 1rm because i train alone and am sick of getting hurt but these are my latest heavy totals... these are not my pr's, but I am only interested in where people are today. My today numbers
Bench 365 x 3
Squat 385 x 5 (sad)
Dead 455 x 2 (and 1/2 :)
Barbell row 225 x 8
Military press 155 x 11 or so- I go easy on shoulders. They hurt.

How bad can you make me look?
Well sir you sure put me to shame ;)

Stats-
5'6"

16/17% (checked this morning though still probably not too accurate)

Bench 350x1 (this was before my shoulder injury and is what caused it haha)
Squat 485x1 (little below parallel)
Dead 500x1
Military press 225 x 8 (also before injury)

Plan on getting my bench and military back to where they were. My dead lift has stayed the same since I was 17 (22 now) but I use a cap bar and can't seem to grip it without ripping my hands off.

All in all pretty good numbers here

I been back in the gym 4 months here's mine:
Incline bench 205x12.
Squat 315x6
Barbell row 185x8
Dead lift 315x15

Btw I'm 6'1 251 never touch aas.30 years old.slow but steady I'm getting it all back

sorry this is a little off topic..
Knowing what you guys know now, and the way you have evolved your training over the years because of injury, what advice would you give a 26 y/o guy in regards to keeping injuries at a minimum and especially protection of the lower back??

Lot of good advise from others, so I won't repeat that. Some additional stuff I've found...

Get massages
tension stretching (I can't remember the actual name for it, you use bands to apply pressure in the opposite direction of the stretch)
foam rolling
ball stretches

Stupid long arms and legs, retarded weak chest.

compete at 181 walk around at 190 to 195
Body fat no idea

bench competition paused best 374 home gym paused best 383
squat 425 many f ing years ago. Don't do heavy regular squats anymore, concentrate on front squats
deads 545 in competition.

At my age it is going to take some help from AAS to get me over the 400 mark benching. All of the above were done naturally.

I've learned over the years never to trust anyone's bench or squat numbers without video as some peoples form is so ridiculous there stated numbers aren't even in the ballpark of what they could do at a powerlifting meet.

I wont say I like it but it is funny. It is a measuring contest. But when you go to your gym you see the guys lifting. Your not likley going to take advice from the 110 lb guy whou cant bench the bar. But I am sure you will listen to the guy repping 405 on the bench that is 230 with around 10 % bodyfat. You kind of need to no where these guys are oming from to deciede whether or not to take their advice. I like to think most ppl here are like me honest. I dontlie about my lifts because one day we might meet in the gym. If I dont do what I say them i am a lyer. A man is only as good as his word. If his word aint worth shit neither is he. So what you said is funny, but there is something here.

Thanks man.
I've always been kinda external in my training, fire on fire so to speak, but the last few years I've really made efforts to bring my internal training up to the next level. No where to get massages right now (not the kind you're talking about!) but I'm trying to incorporate more Tai Chi and especially Qigong into my rountine. The Qigong really helps my mind/muscle connection and I think it's been carrying over into the weightroom.
