You bet Trump will try to get Snowden back in return for something.No... Obama's not going to pardon him. And your right ! It will get interesting!![]()
Not as naive as you think. They certainly don't want him in court.Snowden is one of the biggest scumbag traitors in U.S. history. Leaking top secret documents that could get people killed is hardly a hero. Are you all that naive to believe the govt doesn't know everything they want about you. As a special operator for 15 years I'd love to put a round right between his eyes. A CIA SAD team will find him. And his justice won't be in a court room.
Yup. Through the throat. And I agree he will never have his day in court. His body will eventually turn up dead and some half ass concocted story to go along with it. A true hero doesn't put others lives in danger. He abused the position he was put in and will someday pay for that. God only knows what he's told the Russians or Chinese. I'd still like to be the guy that puts him in the ground though. And yes not everyone is naive of the situation. Just don't understand how people think he's a patriot. Not as naive as you think. They certainly don't want him in court.
"a round right between his eyes". Reminds me of Lon Horiuchi, only that was through the throat I believe.

Even if what you said is true, and it isn't (I haven't got the facts immediately to hand, but I will comment with them later), Snowden couldn't hold a candle to Richard Milhaus Nixon. Just in terms of body count alone, Nixon would eclipse just about any traitor to America you could name, including Snowden.
The Vietnam war could have ended in 1968, were it not for Nixon's machinations to "monkey wrench' the peace negotiations, as Nixon himself put it. Nixon's maneuvering, for partisan political advantage, sent on the order of 25,000 U.S. servicemen to their deaths. The war could have ended in 1968, instead of 1975 -- seven years earlier.

What did I say that's not true. Please enlighten me with your brilliance. And what the fuk does Nixon have to do with me discussing Snowden?? Nixon wasn't even president. Johnson was. And if Johnson wanted to say anything he would of. He thought Humphrey would win, he was wrong. And if Nixon was corrupt so was Johnson for bugging the calls. What is your point. There are a lot of corruption in govt. No shit. Snowden is a little piss ant who I'd like to stomp into the ground. His actions directly impacted national security. My life, members of my team, information on sensitive issues, all could of been leaked and we have no idea how deep it goes. If you want to have a pissing contest about who's this countries biggest traitor that's another conversation. This isn't my first rodeo. Having served my country and continuing to work for the Defense Dept I don't take to lightly some desk jockey who put my countries national security at risk.Even if what you said is true, and it isn't (I haven't got the facts immediately to hand, but I will comment with them later), Snowden couldn't hold a candle to Richard Milhaus Nixon. So terrorist attacks don't concern you?? The reason you hear it so much is because were at war with radical jihadists. Anything leaked could possibly be used against us. That's fine that it doesn't worry you, but we live in a fukd up world right now. Example Turkey."national security at risk" how many times have I heard that in my lifetime?
Lets you and me not get into a pissing contest. I do agree with you in the state of the world today! But I meant that I've heard that excuse long before there was such a thing as a radical jihadist.... Long before Afghanistan or Iraq.So terrorist attacks don't concern you?? I agree they have thrown that term in our faces more then needed. Not fighting bro. I respect your opinion. At least you have one, unlike others.Lets you and me not get into a pissing contest. I second the China/Russia collaboration. Who knows what Intel they have on us. And yes it is speculation. Maybe they obtained nothing, but my ass would err on the side of caution and assume they know classified info. Better to be prepared then caught with your pants down. Regardless of what he may or may not have passed on, he is a traitor to this country. When he took his position at the NSA he knew damn well what he could and couldn't share. I have zero respect for someone who openly shares state secrets and then runs and hides like a bitch. #bulletbetweeneyes.New book about Snowden...
HOW AMERICA LOST ITS SECRETS: Edward Snowden, the Man and the Theft by Edward Jay Epstein
In 2014, Edward Jay Epstein, the veteran writer on espionage, published a provocative article in The Wall Street Journal proposing another way of looking at Snowden: as a spy. Epstein wrote that an unnamed “former member of President Obama’s cabinet” had told him “that there are only three possible explanations for the Snowden heist: 1) It was a Russian espionage operation; 2) It was a Chinese espionage operation; 3) It was a joint Sino-Russian operation.”
[...]
You can see the outlines of a coherent hypothesis in “How America Lost Its Secrets.” Perhaps Snowden was planted at the N.S.A. by either Russia or China, or by both. Perhaps while he was there he worked with other, as yet undetected, insiders who were also serving foreign powers. Perhaps in Hong Kong he put himself into the care of Chinese handlers who debriefed him extensively during the nearly two weeks between his arrival and his self-outing. Perhaps the same thing happened in Moscow during the first 37 days after he landed there, when he seems to have been hiding somewhere inside the airport security perimeter. Perhaps his reward for, in effect, defecting has been the odd protected life in Russia that celebrated spies like Kim Philby and Guy Burgess previously enjoyed. Perhaps his media-abetted role as a whistle-blower was merely a counterintuitive (because it was so public) new form of cover.
Epstein proves none of this. “How America Lost Its Secrets” is an impressively fluffy and golden-brown wobbly soufflé of speculation, full of anonymous sourcing and suppositional language like “it seems plausible to believe” or “it doesn’t take a great stretch of the imagination to conclude.”

No crap he proves none of it. I didn't say he did. What I said was better to be prepared for the worst then take no action. Snowden deserves to be water boarded until he gives up everything!! And then make him dissapear. Serving my country makes me a patriot. People calling this asshole a patriot doesn't know what that means. He put America in danger. Period. To refute that or deny it is ignorant. Now to what extent he did can be debated."Epstein proves none of this. “How America Lost Its Secrets” is an impressively fluffy and golden-brown wobbly soufflé of speculation, full of anonymous sourcing and suppositional language like “it seems plausible to believe” or “it doesn’t take a great stretch of the imagination to conclude.”
Is Snowden in any jeopardy of being used as a bargaining chip for Putin.
Very good question especially with Trump coming into office soon as he is getting real chummy with Putin. Snowdon will most likely be handed over by Russia.
Doubtful....
Greenwald chimes in ...
@Millard Baker
U.S. intelligence has collected information that Russia is considering turning over Edward Snowden as a "gift" to President Donald Trump — who has called the NSA leaker a "spy" and a "traitor" who deserves to be executed.
That's according to a senior U.S. official who has analyzed a series of highly sensitive intelligence reports detailing Russian deliberations and who says a Snowden handover is one of various ploys to "curry favor" with Trump. A second source in the intelligence community confirms the intelligence about the Russian conversations and notes it has been gathered since the inauguration.
