I completely forgot about the Meso powerlifting section. I had been searching for some of your guys' logs. Now I get to drop in and give you some hell.

Lol!!! I wouldn't want my wife's car or a car note. I don't really like to drive it much either. That's cool and all, but not near as impressive as my Honda Civic that hauled a 1500lb trailer across 1700 miles.
I would step on the gas, RPM would go up, gas would go down, and I would still be going 55
I feel ya on the car note. I don't wanna pay a loan, I like owning my piece of shit car out right lol. I will eventually get a loan for a nicer car tho, but not for probably 2 years. Hopefully this car last that long.Lol!!! I wouldn't want my wife's car or a car note. I don't really like to drive it much either.
It does have that giddy up. Honda's last for a long time. Low maintenance.
I'm like you. I paid my car off and all my bills. Just have utilities, phone bill and mortgage. I once said I'd get into a really nice car once I paid my bills off.I feel ya on the car note. Maybe trade that car for a truckI'm like you. I paid my car off and all my bills. Just have utilities, phone bill and mortgage. I once said I'd get into a really nice car once I paid my bills off.
Once I paid all my bills off and saw all the expendable income I have. I said fuck that. No bills. I'll ride my car till the wheels fall off.
We just traded it in for a Jeep Cherokee overlandMaybe trade that car for a truck
With a truck you can haul all that gym gear around in lol.
Not bad then!We just traded it in for a Jeep Cherokee overland
2017 lower car note. She's happy. LolNot bad then!
For me it's more like a tunnel vision. It's like everything else around you sounds like the teachers in Charlie Brown. I don't like to get too keyed up before I lift. Just enough to get me amped up but too much and I just forgot everything and am barbaric. Paying no mind to form or commands or anything. So it's more like a controlled adrenaline or anger for me.
I can't wait for my first meet. Hopefully I can get with a few guys from MESO and head to one. This is similar to the way I am although I still hear the sounds around me I just don't pay them any attention.
Strange thing for me has always been the "adrenaline rush" of a meet helps me number wise squatting and even more so deadlifting but has never given me a boost when benching in competition.
My best guess is that because bench is my best lift I am more in tune with that lift when training and there isn't much room for improvement on the platform but I've never really figured it out.

Supposedly a few members are going to a meet in September. I can't make it. Wife is do in October maybe September. You will enjoy it. I got in the loop a bit late on the group meet idea but I'm interested depending on how and when it all comes together.
Pm coming.Yes I'm in for the September meet if everyone else is.
PM me your general area and I will see what I can find. I know a lot of different feds.
I've never tried them. Never had an issue with my calves. Wish I could help on that one. I stretch often two three times a day. I will be starting physical therapy next week just for preventive maintenance.Hey man I went back thru the gear thread and you have quite the collection!! Have you ever tried calf sleeves, ankle sleeves? I sometimes get some tenderness down there after squats. It doesn't hold me back but I thought about buying some to help with stability and recovery.
@franchise24
I've shared this video before on here but it's been some time. Just listen to it all. It really describes training, and lifting during a meet, for me personally. I relate to it a lot
