Franchise24 training log 2016/2017

That's cool and all, but not near as impressive as my Honda Civic that hauled a 1500lb trailer across 1700 miles.
I would step on the gas, RPM would go up, gas would go down, and I would still be going 55
Lol!!! I wouldn't want my wife's car or a car note. I don't really like to drive it much either.

It does have that giddy up. Honda's last for a long time. Low maintenance.

I feel ya on the car note. I don't wanna pay a loan, I like owning my piece of shit car out right lol. I will eventually get a loan for a nicer car tho, but not for probably 2 years. Hopefully this car last that long.

I'm like you. I paid my car off and all my bills. Just have utilities, phone bill and mortgage. I once said I'd get into a really nice car once I paid my bills off.

Once I paid all my bills off and saw all the expendable income I have. I said fuck that. No bills. I'll ride my car till the wheels fall off.

Maybe trade that car for a truck ;)

With a truck you can haul all that gym gear around in lol.

For me it's more like a tunnel vision. It's like everything else around you sounds like the teachers in Charlie Brown. I don't like to get too keyed up before I lift. Just enough to get me amped up but too much and I just forgot everything and am barbaric. Paying no mind to form or commands or anything. So it's more like a controlled adrenaline or anger for me.

This is similar to the way I am although I still hear the sounds around me I just don't pay them any attention.

Strange thing for me has always been the "adrenaline rush" of a meet helps me number wise squatting and even more so deadlifting but has never given me a boost when benching in competition.

My best guess is that because bench is my best lift I am more in tune with that lift when training and there isn't much room for improvement on the platform but I've never really figured it out.

I can't wait for my first meet. Hopefully I can get with a few guys from MESO and head to one.

You will enjoy it. I got in the loop a bit late on the group meet idea but I'm interested depending on how and when it all comes together.
Supposedly a few members are going to a meet in September. I can't make it. Wife is do in October maybe September.

@Docd187123 said to try to find a local meet. Just to get my feet. Trying to find one but no dice.

Yes I'm in for the September meet if everyone else is.

PM me your general area and I will see what I can find. I know a lot of different feds.

Competition Squat:

  1. 135 1x10
  2. 225 1x10
  3. 315 1x5
  4. 365 1x3
  5. 405 6x3 RPE 9 Starting to feel better. This was harder than it should have been but all reps and sets completed with good form.
Supplemental/Volume Squat:
315 1x20
315 2x15

Goal was 315 3x20. As I unracked the bar for the second set, I puked all over the platform. I cleaned the shit up. Took about 10-15 minutes in total. Then I finished my workout.

Overall great workout. I'm pleased. Sipping Pedialyte as I type this. Lol

Hey man I went back thru the gear thread and you have quite the collection!! Have you ever tried calf sleeves, ankle sleeves? I sometimes get some tenderness down there after squats. It doesn't hold me back but I thought about buying some to help with stability and recovery.

I've never tried them. Never had an issue with my calves. Wish I could help on that one. I stretch often two three times a day. I will be starting physical therapy next week just for preventive maintenance.

That's what im screamin...i thought about it the other day...i could afford a car payment now if i wanted, but i looked out the window at old trashcan joe (my truck) and i realized something...i dont fucking care lol my little beater trucker runs great, just needs minor work done but nothing serious, engine n transmission are in great shape, I'd rather spend the money on a trip back home, or concert tickets,or better food lol.
