Fructose is just another example of people wishing their problems had this magical single enemy. Cholesterol, fats, carbs, fructose, red meat, etc, etc all examples of people refusing to accept that our health issues are multifaceted (sedentary lifestyles, chronic hypercaloric intake, too much processed foods, not enough fruit & veg, etc). Why is it that people refuse to accept that our health issues are multifaceted? Because that would mean the answers are going to be difficult to find and nobody has time for that.
This desperate need for simplicity applies to researchers as well as general members of the public unfortunately. Plenty of examples of unrealistic fructose intakes within the literature that are cool to look at if your interested in "what if" scenarios and masturbating over certain pathways but mean absolute jackshit when it comes to practical applicability. I posted a reference which suggests that it's best to avoid certain fruits based on measurable criteria. And the fruits on the right hand side are those commonly recommended, and those on the left are often recommended that we stay away from. *That's* ironic.
You then, for some reason, opened up the can of snakes with the irrelevant reference to my using a chart apparently coming from Oz.
