I've seen a lot of folks talk about hernia surgery, and now I've got one coming. I'll be getting a robo-lap mesh implant due to prior failed repairs. I've heard the downsides of mesh but my inguinal hernia mesh has behaved itself for nearly 20 years now. Anyway, the surgeon says I'll need to wait 6 weeks to return to weightlifting.
My question is how my enhanced brethren handle these periods of enforced idleness. I want to preserve as much muscle as I can. Is running on cruise generally sufficient even if you're not providing any stimulus to the muscles through resistance training? Or can I achieve retention by cranking up the dose? Are there particular compounds that are most effective towards that end?
Most of the info out there about anabolic use is based on a subject actively training. Not so much about subjects sitting on their ass, or just doing cardio.
Also, what's best to accelerate and support healing? I've got BPC/TB, of course.
