Dr. Mariano or Dr. Crisler?

I'm in need of seeing a really good doctor, but not sure which one to see. I know these 2 are near the top of the list when it comes to hormones and trt. I started a PCT 2weeks ago (Scally's protocol), but incase it does not work I will need a doctor who's good with TRT. Every doctor I've worked with has sucked and trt was did not work.

Anyone have any input?

Are there any pros and cons between either or one more experienced then the other in a particular area?

If you have any mental illness (anxiety, depression, etc.) I would see Mariano. Actually I would probably see him period. But that's just me.

CubbieBlue,
I was thinking something as well. I grew up with normal testosterone levels until steroid use, but anyways my issue all my life was neurotransmitters. Low dopamine and serotonin and now testosterone. Do you see him? Can you give me any insight if possible or PM me if you prefer?

thanks!!

Never seen him and I really don't have any more insight. Just my thoughts.

I agree with Cubbie. I have never seen either one of them, but I like what I have read of Mariano's answers and various writings. If I had a choice, I would pick Mariano. Just my opinion from what I have read from both of them.

Is that a real question. THERE IS NO COMPARISON. Mariano is astute ON LEVELS..... No disrespect to anyone endeavoring to inmprove the field. Just look at some of M's prior posts. Mind boggling technical astuteness, and in many facets.....

Both are very good from what people tell me an from what i have read. I have an appointment with crisler the 6th so I am confident I will be getting some proper treatment and real help finally

I am not saying Crisler is not good in practice. I dont know. I am only saying M was pretty sharp tecnically speaking. I am guessing they are totally different types. I have never seen crysler post though, so I am not familiar with his phylosophy...

Dr. Mariano has a private practice in Monterey, California.

He offers two services:

Outpatient Psychiatry Services:
These are services for which he provides direct patient care.
A doctor-patient relationship is established.
For patients who live out of the area, he requires face-to-face appointments at least once a year.
Telephone follow-up appointments are provided as needed.

Educational Services:
These include group and individual seminars, and educational services via telephone.
A doctor-patient relationship is not established.

Again - I see nothing mentioned about hrt for men.

Based on the manner in which Dr. M practices, it falls under Psychoneuroendocrionlogy and Psychoneuroimmunology as listed in his interest section.

Well that makes sense. I think a lot of the context I saw him posting about was more so brain chemical related that anything else, but also as it related to HPTA as well. Sadly, he is probably more knowledgeable in the field of TRT than 95% docs out there I am guessing regardless.

It was my understanding that he treated hypogonad??

I have seen him reference several times for treating HRT/TRT. I've seen posts where Crisler has recommended him for people who live in that area.

I have spoken to Dr mariano on the phone and let me tell you this man is one of the most intelligent men I have come in contact with . He can rattle information off like no other and it was nice to have an intelligent conversations about all topics for a brief 15 or 20 minutes. It was absolutely mind blowing.. I learned so much just in that short amount of time and I have a few clients that goto him as well and I just help to fine tune things alitle bit. I also have alot of crislers patients in the past as well which they are happy with their hormones levels, but just need a little tweak to help them complete the circuit.. Who ever is closer goto..Mariano focus more on adrenals and thyroid then testosterone levels. Now if you put both of them together then you have the ultimate Dr that is what our goal is to achieve we are not to far off.

You had your T levels rtested before you used steroids ? That's the only real way to know if they were normal.

I what part of the country do you live ?

480 is not that bad.

Go see DR Ilja Hulinsky in West HAven, CT. He specializes in HYpoG and also takes INSURANCE something Chrisler doesn't.

Aetna is a $30 copay and he will spend an hour with you
