Unfortunately this kind of thing happens way more often than we even know about. A lot of the victims of these situations just go silently off into the sunset, out of fear of looking foolish for getting scammed, or out of fear of retaliation since the perpetrator has their personal information .
I'm glad this worked out okay for you
@Kim .
And
@CensoredBoardsSuck is right about who we trust, or think we can trust here. We have seen members go rogue who were once a golden child of this community. Think about Stretch, think about Odie, etc. Those guys were as well liked and trusted as a member could be at one point. Both were revealed to be something much different than what they were thought to be.
In this game, YOU have to accept the fact - And beat it into your own head - that these are dealings in illegal drugs, and YOU HAVE TO BE suspicious of every character you encounter. YOU have to be. YOU gotta keep your guard up. And YOU have to accept some fundamental truths in this game. YOU have to know that you are risking certain things and minimize those risks as best you can, but the risk is still there.
That's not to say that it is anyone like Kim's fault for getting scammed, and it's not to say that it's cool or acceptable. Just that it is possible.
The only way to way to know your way around the streets is to either be from the streets, or have someone close to you who knows the streets.
Fortunately for everyone here, you can learn a lot about this game by sticking around and reading a lot, develop a network of other members you can seek guidance from, and asking questions.
Thank you to the other members who got involved and thanks to the sources who helped resolve this situation as best as could be done.
