He was speaking generally. It wasn't directed at you specifically.
I am just a little sensitive this morning. Sorry it felt directed towards me. As you know I read many of Ryno's posts over the past several days. Many of his posts were negative about scammers. Everyone that personally knows me knows that I do a lot of research before I do something or buy anything. In this case I didn't think I needed to do a background check on him. Looking back I wish I had after doing his background report this week and seeing the most criminal activity I had ever seen on anyone in my life.

Haha that record is long as fuck

@Kim

Just wanted to add one more thing before I’m done for good. I know you think I’m a total scumbag and that’s ok, I’ll survive somehow. But to help you out since I’m actually very nice:

You were just scammed by someone who is a known criminal and has your personal info and knows what you are doing is illegal. Especially if you say you are a teacher, (unfortunately steroids are still very Much looked down upon in society, you can get high all you want but steroids are the devil, don’t get me started) I’d start taking some steps to protect myself like maybe changing your profile name (if your name is Kim) and removing any photos that show your face. Avoid posting any personal info. Perhaps an ID theft protection service as well. Chances are you’ll probably never hear from him again but don’t discount the possibility that he may try to blackmail you.

That’s all, good luck to you. Sorry you were scammed. It sucks.

Now I’m done.

@Kim first of all @JohnnyD actually sounded like he was speaking in genetalities, not being critical of you.

Second, just some friendly advice, throwing around your educational achievements IS NEVER a good look. I promise you NOT ONE SINGLE MEMBER read that and thought better of you than they did before they read it. Most likely just the opposite. To be blunt, listing your degrees as a way of talking down to someone you disagree with is A REAL DOUCHEBAG MOVE! No nicer way to put it than that.

I too am fortunate enough to have attained some degrees in my life. I never, ever mention them when arguing with anyone. There are plenty of folks breathing the same air I am breathing, with little formal education, who are just as, or more, intelligent as/than me.

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

OK you're right. Not my usual move. Sorry everyone.

I definitely don't think I am smarter than anyone. I learn a lot everyday. Look I was scammed....Ha anyways, that was a stupid move listing my degrees in response to his English speaking statement. I need to have thicker skin.

Look at the bright side at least you didn’t spend a grand on a Nigerian Yorki. Everyone gets duped at some point in their lives, lesson learned and don’t let it happen to you again.

Told ya, nothing to be sorry about. You did the board a huge favor by exposing it. A lot of people wouldn't have

I don't think she was apologizing for bringing this to the board. At all.

She quoted me in that apology post, that you quoted. It was regarding her exchange with @JohnnyD .

My friend, a degree from the school of hard knocks is every bit as valuable as a formal degree. I consider myself fortunate that I grew up in a rough area that prepared me for some things in life, and then pursued advanced formal education after having attended Hard Knocks University like yourself.

I respect folks from both sides, I really do, but as most of us realize, some of the smartest people we end up knowing in life, might not even have a high school diploma. It just works out that way.

Nature versus nurture? Yes, both. ;)

So true. Unless you're personal friends with someone on this board, all you see is their persona, and we all know, you can be anyone or anything you want to be on the Internet.

Ryno came off as a decent guy. But that's because he presented himself that way. Sad state of affairs, but i'm glad it worked out for Kim.
Ryno is a good guy there is obviously other things going on with him I haven’t talk to him in a long while not sure wtf is going on

I thought you had a small issue with him at one point? If I have misspoken I apologize. Nice to see you around it’s been a minute.

Very true in my case as well. Life isn’t always easy but where there’s a will there’s a way.
