Thanks 7, I'm really happy about it. I did not watch actually. The kind they had in the olympics is "sevens" (7 on 7 with 7 minute halves) where the normal game is 15 v. 15 with 40 minute halves. I'm not a sevens fan. It's just a bastardized mini-game version of the real game in my opinion.

Shit I didn't know that. 7 on 7 would make it more of a speed game wouldn't it? I saw em talking about a dude on Team USA. He played for the New England Patriots last season?

Yeah I can hit it TNG pretty much every time. I full comp pause without full leg push will be interesting to say the least. Good news is I went to the Dr last week. No surgery or anything crazy. My primary Dr sent my referral to a physical therapist that's a competitive Bodybuilder so hopefully I can get it all worked out. Doesn't look like it'll happen before the meet but that just gives me more time to prepare for bigger numbers on the next one.

Yeah it's catered more towards skinny, fast guys. Idk anything about the guy you're talking about though, I don't really follow or watch any sevens.

The key to it is completely vertical shins, and sitting back on your heals. So when using a bench just make sure your feet aren't under the bench and shins are straight vertical
 
212lbs bodyweight today

Worked up to 5x5 at 225 good mornings

Tried the Koklyaev deadlift and didn't make it past 315 before it started getting into my lat injury

So I just screwed around and did a bunch of upper body stuff because I was pumped to lift and wasn't going to leave after one exercise.

Did lat pull downs, dumbbell curls, face pulls and side raises. Then did five minutes of intense incline treadmill.

I can definitely see how KK deads would do that. I feel like I have to engage my Lats more with those than regulars deads to keep the bar in proper placement.

Welp, my session today didn't go as planned. Pretty sure my CNS is fried as I've been really tired the last week or so. Talked with coach during my session and cut it short. After the over reaching block I'm beat.

Cut it there. Did 540 for 3 sets of 5 and 1 set of 4.5 last time I was on 5's. Most likely will be keeping it to competition lifts this week and cut out any auxiliary lifts to let my body rest up. Hopefully when I recover I straight beast some shit. I know this is exactly how I'm supposed to feel at this portion in prep.
