5 Guys....Not just a burger joint anymore

Worked out early today weighed myself before anything this morning. 206. I'm 211 right now. Did some bench today since I skipped Friday and Saturday.

135 and 185 warm ups
225 X 5
255 X 4
295 2 sets of 3
340 6 sets of 2

Did a ton of leg accessories. Like everything. Then I squatted 95 for 10x10. PT got denied for reason I can't say in the open they want me to go elsewhere and I'll leave it that. Good day though

Still thinking about cutting to 198?

Yeah, I'm going for it. I can easily take my state's bench and deadlift records at that weight. I figure I'm around 205 in the morning without clothes. Shouldn't be a huge deal to make 24 hour weigh ins and gain most of it back. I'm not fond of the idea of being sub 200, but it'll be worth it for some glory.

Hell yeah dude I'd say for some state records it'd be worth it.

Squats
475
1 set 3 reps(PR)

Am beyond ecstatic...
First time in a few months using a regular bar to squat with(used a competition 65#bar). I probably could have added another 10lbs to the bar and done it. It was probably a 8.5RPE.
Zero elbow pain, zero hip pain. Have gone to a ART therapist a couple times and it's seemed to have helped a lot. I'm excited to see what's to come in the next few weeks/months now that squats have been improving.

Damn. Your squat is passing me up quick. Awesome lifts

Not quite homie, but I'm getting there. I also weighed in at 241.4 gym weight so probably like 235ish area morning weight. So I have a few pounds on ya. Watching Boss of Bosses this weekend motivated the hell out of me. If I hit the numbers I'd like to at this meet, I'll have added close to 200lbs to my squat in just under a year.

I was 207 tonight. I wanted that 565 squat so bad at the meet. I will say I got a wild hair tonight. I started off on bar squats. Went to 95 then 135. 185 and to 225 all for 10 reps. Still not gonna push it with real weight but everything felt great tonight.

A 200lbs jump in one year is insane.

You'll get back there homie, I know you will. You've been at this for a while. Muscle memory is real. It will come right back. We should do another meet together for sure. Idk what your rehab is going to be like but there is a meet at my gym in December I'm doing if you'd like to join and are able.

If I hit 545 that will give me the 200# increase. My squat was terrible for the first 1.5 years I was squatting. The last year it has improved a lot. Ups and downs but always improving

This offer for the meet extends to anyone else that would like to also. You can crash at my pad for the night or two.

At 475 for a triple I'd say you are well over 500 for a single. When I hit 500 even the first time I'm not even sure I could do a 475 for a double.

Honestly I'm not sure how long it'll take. December will be out of the question for sure though. A LOT going on that month lol

I'm over 500 for sure. Last meet prep I did 450 for a triple then did 495 for a single. I would just like a mid 500 squat for a third attempt.

I doubt I could make December either. I'd definitely like to hit up another meet with you all after this one, this one has kind of been a disaster for Rob and I. If we can each take some state records it won't be a total loss though.

Are you expecting to get 545? I'm hoping/expecting to get 540 myself but if you got 545 I'd have no choice but to go for it too lol.

Also, you said you're doing raw no wraps right?

Hahaa! I like the way you think!
That would be a hopefully third attempt. Will open with 475, probably just a hair under that honestly. Second attempt will be sit next week, but that will be for 515ish. So 545 isn't TOO far off of that for a third attempt.

Yes Im competing raw, no wraps. I did pick up a pair of sleeves a couple weeks ago so I'll be using those. I may do wraps next year, we will see. Want to push the raw squat as far as possible first.

Bench
360
1 set 3 reps

I wanted 365 so bad. I ended up going to my old gym to lift with the Bikini girl. I definitely think 365 was possible today if I was on a standard bench and not on a super low commercial ass gym bench. Couldn't get as much leg drive at all. Another solid session in the books

Today was BY FAR the worst workout I've had in a looooong time. I've been driving a lot (15 hours on wednesday), visiting family a few hundred miles away, so I obviously lifted in a gym I'm not familiar with, which I hope is the reason my performance was so terrible today. But I also have been eating more, so I was hoping that would even things out and I would be able to get all my reps, but nope. Oh well, shit happens I guess. I'm going to repeat this week of training next week, so push press will be the focus on monday and friday again instead of bench. If all goes well I don't see why I won't be able to get my 455x5 squat and 280x5 push press next week. But we'll see.

I didn't post Thursday because once again life pulled a 180 on me, but I worked up to 335x3 on bench. Wasn't having a great day.

Just weighed in at 205 fully dressed after breakfast. 198 should be easy. About to see where my deadlift is today.
