5 Guys....Not just a burger joint anymore

Well you shouldn't. 545lbs is a lot of weight. And you don't look small.

Thanks. Body Dismorphia is a hell of a disorder. I really got into my lat injury on that set, hoping I can keep it together a little longer. Now that I'm done it's hurting badly.

Damn. From that pic you look pretty ripped. Yes you lost some mass, but it brought out your muscles more. I bet the other people at 198 will shit their pants when they see you

@ROB581211 is 198, too, but I bet we're the leanest dudes at that weight for sure. I'm just ready to take some records and put some size back on and put this whole summer behind me.

I think WHEN you hit these records it'll help a lot mentally with all the bullshit thats happened. Then you get get back to bulking. Hell, we can push eachother since Im going to be on a heavy bulk / training regimen after my recovery

I was 204 this morning. Getting ready for a double bench session today. I'll post It up when I'm done. I'm feeling pretty lean

Deal. No doubt on that either, my bench and deadlift triples this week surpassed the current records. Can't see not hitting those under any circumstances. I'll be on a slight bulk. I'll just be running a cruising, so I won't be getting too crazy. I'd like to let my lat heal up and put back on some quality mass while remaining fairly lean.

I don't feel that lean, but I've been getting a ton of comments from people lately that I'm looking great. Funny thing is I've been eating like shit a lot since I'm bouncing from place to place eating whatever anyone will feed me. I'm eating a lot less though.

I'll post something up later. I've been eating pizza drinking beer. Life's been to hectic to diet so I get calories every way I can

Damn, I've really aggravated this injury today. It hurts to breathe very deeply, I'm wondering if it's a rib.

Update? Hopefully everything is feeling better. I dropped down out of the 198's because you and @ROB581211 were making me feel small at that weight. Well that and leading the nation in my age group benching is a fuck of a lot easier at that weight than it is at 198.

Hope you get things moving in the right direction and kill it at the meet brother.

Thanks, MP. Meet day is the 17th and last I weighed I was 205 fully dressed after breakfast, so making weight should be a breeze. This is the lightest I've been since I was natty. Strength isn't much lower than when I was high 230's though.

As far as the injury I think I really made it worse on Saturday. I just have one more day of heavy pulling before the meet, so I'm going to tough it out. I'm thinking I'll need a lot of time off deadlift after though. Maybe until the new year. It doesn't hurt to breathe like it did at first at least.

Cool. You won't have to do much of a water cut at all to make weight and won't have to worry about losing any strength because of it.

Good plan. Take whatever time you need after this meet without puling. Let it get completely healed up.

I was dumb following my last meet. I tweaked my pec a couple of weeks out. It held up and I hit a bench PR moving a little further north of 400 at the meet then instead of giving it time pushed on as I was contemplating another meet 7 weeks later. Ended up tearing the pec, luckily only partially, two weeks after the meet. It has been 8 weeks since and it is far from completely healed. Be smarter than I was my friend.

Small update, I'm not shooting for the 242 class anymore. I could easily make it, but I'm having a couple small nagging injuries that are taking too long to heal up, and being in a caloric deficit definitely isn't helping that. So I'm going to try to just maintain weight and recomp the best I can. I also set a pretty big goal for myself. I want to squat 585, still no belt, by the end if this year, so I need to be healthy to do that.

@Perrin Aybara how did the deadlifts go homie? EDIT: never mind just saw. For whatever reason my browser hadn't updated any posts since Saturday

Deadlifts
595x3

Really wanted 600. Talked with my coach about it and he said be smart and gave me a range of 590-600. Looking back at the video I could have probably pulled 600. I ripped a callus on my second rep and had to completely reset and got out of position a little. But the first two reps moved FAST. Openers are set. 1430 total with just my openers. Going to talk with coach about second attempts tomorrow. Feeling REALLY good about this. I want redemption after my first meet

image.jpeg Well I'm still alive everyone. Chest has at least been coming along fairly well. Did my usual build and DI'd 6 sets of 3 with 340 tonight. Night weight with shoes was 202. So I'm right on pace for my comp weight. Maybe even below in the morning.
