Besides Semaglutide are there any other peptides focused purely on fat loss?

I was just wondering if there's anything else I should look into. I'm currently taking other medications that curb my appetite (Phentermine) but my blood pressure went through the roof so i'm looking for alternatives. Sema is the most popular but are there others I should research?

Biggest thing for me is curbing my appetite. I can lose weight on 1.8k calories a day but there are days that I just end up consuming like 2.7k because I worked out and did martial arts and I'm just famished. Phentermine helped me drop 20 lbs but I dont want to play with high blood pressure so that's why I'm seeking peptides.

It's just for appetite suppression so I can stay on a caloric deficit.

Training ur brain to just be satisfied with less food naturally has never worked for me.
So it sounds like you have your diet in order to reach your caloric deficit, but are having a hard time controling your appetite. Are you consuming at least a gallon of water a day? Sounds simple, but for me drinking a gallon of water a day helps control my appetite naturally.

I don't eat garbage but I do tend to overeat, some days it just seems like nothing will fill me up. I haven't tried forcing myself to drink water, no. I do hear about that but never really tried

If you're working out regularly and especially if you're taking any AAS, try it and consume a gallon of water a day. Drinking that much water has plenty of benefits, along with helping suppress your appetite.

It does have side effects, most notably for me constipation. I think it’s related to its process slowing gastric emptying which probably slows down the whole gi tract.
How are you dealing with this. I have looked at trying Triz, but this side effect has me concerned. I already deal with some mild constipation due to my methadone therapy and even tho it isn't terrible I fear the 2 combined could be.

If I can get effects at 5mg per week I'm game! I just saw dosing schedules that have ppl going upwards of 25mg per week by week 16! No way I can finance that

What did your dosign schedule look like?
Very boring. I just followed mfg suggested dosage. 4 weeks of 2.5, then moved up to 5mg. If u need or want more suppression move up the dose every four weeks.

I’d suggest starting at 2.5 mg for at least two weeks to see if you have any kind of adverse reaction or significant side effects and then consider going up in dosage As needed. Self injection gives a lot more flexibility. For me the biggest change in effect came after the 4th 5mg shot, 8th overall.

If you want more about my experience and insight keep reading, otherwise that’s about it for how I’ve dosed.

I began with 4 weeks of mounjaro 2.5 pens. I noticed some appetite suppression right away and definitely noticed some slowness to normal bm frequency ‍♂️. With my results I did / have made some significant lifestyle changes in terms of exercise and diet with an eye to going off someday. I paid full freight out of pocket but I did use hsa dollars. I felt guilty about spending so much on it that I was very disciplined to not “waste” it.

I got a second batch of pens at 5 mg but started down the compounded route at the same time. I definitely noticed a step up in appetite suppression and constipation at 5mg. particularly the day after injection to 3 days after. Calories generally 1,300 - 1,500. Then the effect generally lessened a bit. I injected Sunday so fridays and Saturday’s the calories ticked up a bit. I also started using the fat secret calorie tracker And got more macro / protein focused.

i had the compounded tirz in time for my 4th 5 mg shot, 8th overall. I was concerned how effective it would be but should not have been. It was the strongest appetite suppression yet. It took effort to eat over 1,000 calories the first few days and get over 100g of protein. I would have cut back to 4 mg the next week but I still had a 5mg pen and wasn’t sure I’d ever get back to 5 mg so I used that this past Sunday.

in addition to dropping 3-5 lbs a week it seems the hormone effect of the tirz seems to stave the starvation low metabolism effect. It also seems to prioritize fat metabolism. People started to comment only 2 to 3 weeks in. It definitely has a slimming effect beyond the weight. Of course I’ve hardly had any bread, processed carbs or alcohol for two months so I’m sure that is part of it.

I’ve been reading a fair amount about it. It has a 5 day (~116.5 hr) half life and I’ve maintained a dosage spreadsheet. There was not dose reason for the 4th 5 mg shot to step up like it did. The dosage hits its max in your system after 3 shots at a new level then just bounces around there. I speculate that the effects of getting your fat and liver and pancreas to secrete more insulin continues even tho the dose doesn’t increase and / or insulin sensitivity and increased levels of adiponectin as you lose weight Account for it.

with the 5 day half life I’ve read that many choose to not only inject on a 5 day cycle rather than 7 but split the dose in two to keep the level more even ‍♂️. I think for social reasons as well as mental practice with cravings I may stay at Sunday injections to enable eating out and / or more normally on fridays and saturdays.

I’ve read some notice a falloff in effect and increase their dose. I have not had the need to do that, ymmv. I’m trying to not only maintain but increase muscle so at 5mg the effort to be above 1,000’ish calories seems like too much. The appetite suppression and slow digestion make hard to eat a lot more than 300 calories at a pop. U start to feel so full u can get nauseous. I think that is where the reports of vomiting come in. People just take the drug, don’t change their habits and if they start to scarf down fast food or something they blow chow. I’m pretty sure trying to eat two Popeyes spicy chcken Sandy’s would get me to yak.

my plan is to reduce to a 4mg shot this weekend. I’m about 25 lbs from my goal weight. Each ten lbs I plan on reducing the dose a bit until I’m back at 2.5 mg per week and see how that feels. I have an order of lyophilized tirz in that at these rates will last over 8 months if necessary.

I can’t stress enough how amazing this drug / peptide is. I have wanted to make changes like this for over a year. I’ve had injuries and other issues but haven’t made meaningful progress until I started mounjaro / tirz. And I have made incredible progress in two months and am now confident I can hit my goal weight on the drug. It also gives me anxiety over what will happen when I stop. Among my issues had been late night often stress related binge eating. I haven’t succumbed once to that since I’ve started tirz. I hope I can go off the drug in 2-3 months. If I can’t I am fully prepared to go the reconstituted lyophilized route forever ‍♂️.

sorry the long winded note, one thing led to another. I tried to sum up at the beginning.

p.s. The recommendation to not drink for 1/2 hour before or after eating does seem to work to increase the fullness.

I have found found fiber above 25g per day helps (chia seeds and oatmeal) and duralax (generic miralax) ‍♂️. And drinking a lot out of water. It’s really recommended to not drink during meals because that undercuts the slowed gastric emptying but I’ve grown accustomed to drinking during meals so unless I’m disciplined about downing water between meals I can get dehydrated which doesn’t help.

I definitely drink a lot of water. As well as everyone talks about it, maybe I could drink with meals and it work half as good which would be plenty. I think I'm going to give it a shot. From reading it sounds like the side effects are not as bad as they are with sema.

I am a female, so this might not work for you, but I've been taking 1iu HGH every morning and 500mg metformin at night for the last 10 days and this combo has absolutely killed my appetite. I'm having trouble getting even 800 cals per day. This effect might subside over time idk and I think it's really the metformin that is suppressing my appetite. Metformin pretty cheap and safe, so it might be worth a try.

Stay extra hydrated especially if you are eating as much, go for a walk, take some psyllium husk with plenty of water. It was worst for me the 1st 2 weeks and I didn't go for 3 days. Bad time, don't recommend. Have miralax or stimulant laxative on hand if ya need it. If you’re on methadone you could maybe get something prescribed too since constipation wouldn't be a shocker

fwiw - i dont think you should be going over 15mg a week. That's the highest published dosing from the mfg (I believe). I think the general protocol is: 2.5 mg for 4 weeks, 5 mg for 4 weeks, then you can stay at 5mg if having success, or bump up. Some people microdose, too.

According to the research I've been doing besides the GLP-1 agonists the most commons peptides for fat loss are :
-CJC/ipamorelin
-MOTS-C
-Tesamorelin (one of the best ones but really expensive)

I have not used any of them but this may let you investigate further into these compounds.

Calories in v calories out.
This place is full of lazy Americans now.
The excuses are hilarious.
Or the my wife needs it.
Sorry your wife's fat.
I opened this thread and got into Semaglutide first then switched to Tirzerpatide. It has been a blessing SO THAT I can finally have a good caloric intake. I lost 24 lbs on it since I started because it helped control my appetite.

That's not because i'm lazy, I do martial arts, work out 5x a week, do my 10k steps a day...I was just always hungry and im not going to just eat salad and quinoa in order to fill up. It's just using tools available in order to live better, more satisfying lives. Nothing wrong with that if you can afford it.
