Thats good advice! SAFETY before anything else. This is why I take the cautious approach. We have to watch and be diligent when concerning our safety and to keep scumbag scammers at bay.

Scammers are one thing. At this point here at Meso, my personal freedom would be paramount.
There's a thread here on the forum that talks about "Silk Road". LE is all over that spot. TOR is used and bit coin is the currency.
One of the sources here just today is posting about setting up a secure email acct. This is after shipping his stuff all around and accepting moneypak for Greendot?
Now is the time to lay low fellas. I would've hit and run if I was going to make a purchase with anyone here. It's gotten too big and it will only get bigger and more obnoxious as far as LE is concerned.

Dude its time to black out your windows and hunker down!!!! Leave that gear in the mailbox for days watching for repetitive cars sitting on your street!!!! Then at night get the ghillie suit out and sneak out there slowly.. spend a good 6 hours going from back yard to your mailbox and they will never know you got it out!

This forum was created to protect members. I have no interest in protecting sources. IMO, such rules and moderating are usually necessary to compensate for poor business practices by such sources. They need to stop being so greedy and do a better job screening / managing their customers. If the customers are posting sensitive information that compromises the sources, it is a reflection on the sources themselves.

If they can't maintain a customer base that understands security practices, there are probably a lot of other aspects in their business that they are unable to control as well (which will also compromise them and place them and their customers at risk).

Rather than trying to indirectly protect members (by protecting the sources they use), why not simply ask members to avoid the sources who have way too much information posted about them in this forum and/or elsewhere?

That's my advice.

Actually, my post, somewhat ambiguous now that I re-read it, intended to say that => the "burden" is on the sources for NOT doing a better job of running their business. I don't think rules should be added to protect the sources.

I like the transparency of this sub-forum. If members are posting sensitive information about a source, this is a message to other prospective customers to avoid that source.

A good source would screen/monitor customers better and never allow this type of information to be posted. Sources should be more careful about new customers, screen them, blacklist threats that post sensitive info, etc. But instead, they are only seeing profits and not seeing the risks of the illegal business they are involved in.

For the past 6 years or so we've pretty much been given free rein. Busts have been on an individual basis and few and far between.

The Feds spent 2 years gathering intel during ORD before acting on any of it for the purpose of being able to bust UGLs across the nation simultaneously.

6 years is a long time, almost TOO long. It is a bit of a paradox in sense that when things started to get going after ORD it was a paranoid environment despite the fact that it was a relatively safe period. Now when we're at our most vulnerable little thought is being paid to security.
