Hey guys. The 2001 Camry 4 cylinder 5 speed manual has 24,600 miles on it. I bought it with 24,000 miles on it. I am extremely certain that the original owner used Conventional 10W-30 every 3,000 miles.
I mean I dunno. My car I just sold had 198,000 miles on it and it runs absolutely perfect. I have always used conventional Mobil 10W-30 and obviously that is a very good oil, especially when you change it religously every 3,000 miles.
I dunno. I dunno if I should use the Mobil 1 synthetic every 5,000 miles or the conventional Mobil every 3,000 miles......
This sucks I honestly do not know which to use.
Cost is not a problem at all - Walmart sells
Synthetic Mobil 1 for only $3.78 per quart - very very very cheap. So I could care less about spending an extra $10 per oil change - $10 is nothing and I could care less about $10.
dumbbellpress No excuses, no regrets.
Also, Stncld, I said I never run my engine past 4,000 RPM, not past 4,500 RPM. I mean I am very very anal about maintaining my car. I guess that is why my last car was so dependable and so reliable and lasted for so long. I never EVER run my RPM's past 4,000.
