Disappointed with 1st cycle results

Just finished up with my last pin of my first ever cycle today (500mg Test cyp). I got bloods done mid cycle which showed my test was at 2634 ng/dL so a pretty good level I think (based on feedback from others).

Have to say pretty disappointed with the results. I ran the cycle for 10 weeks but I barely got to train/eat properly the last 2 weeks as I got the flu & just as I was recovering from that BOOM food poisoning haha...

I did manage to gain 20 lbs over the first 8 weeks. However I can't say that its all solid muscle. Definitely a little fat added and probably water too. Strength increased slightly but nothing crazy. E.g. DB Shoulder press started out at 70lb for 8 and finished at 85lb for 8. Another thing is I went from eating 2300 cals a day (end of cut) to 4000-4500 cals a day when I started the cycle. So obviously I was always going to get a good strength/size rebound even if I didn't take anything.

I'll attach an 8 week transformation pic below also just so you can see visual results. Bare in mind I have a better pump in the 2nd pic as I was quite depleted in the 1st pic. My shoulder is also slightly more internally rotated in the 2nd pic making my arm appear slightly thicker and elevating my trap slightly. Might sound like I'm nit picking but im hard on myself and try to keep things honest.

Guess the point in this post is to get others opinions on whether they think this kind of progress is normal for the cycle I ran & if I'm having too high expectations, OR whether I should have got a lot better results, because I really can't think of anything I was doing wrong lol...

Im going to tell you your young and you will continue to learn and reevalute your training and diet. You MUST always evaluate your training and diet especially the training!!! Examine it. Use a notebook ween down what works FOR YOU and what doesnt. Consider what exercises your choosing to do. Are you one of those tweekers that thinks there going to get huge doing 70% iso movements? Are you REALLY hitting 4500 cals EVERYDAY? Are you really hitting those contractions or are you just moving it thru space? Sequence of exercises? That can have a dramatic effect on results. Are you training with an effective split? There not all created equal. I still think the average everyday gym rat using the very typical bodypart split 6 days a week is garbage. Especially on a cycle. Especially considering all the wasted down time between "bodyparts". Gotta expand your horizons. Challenge what youve learned and apply it going forward.

I fucking promise you you got swiss cheese holes all in that training regimen. Ive had a nutritional convo with you several times about how much you should really be eating and you shrugged that off. I knew it went in 1 ear and out the other.
Experience is a mountain of failures that eventually peaks at success

I don't necessarily agree with this at all.

Multiple compounds on your first cycle(especially nandrolone) is just asking for trouble. Not just for a beginner trying to recover and figure out PCT but also not knowing side effects for that individual.

Figure out one AAS before you start adding two and three IMO.

I would never recommend nandrolone for a beginner.

I'm curious. What was it that made you want to start a cycle with no test? all AAS will shut down your natural test production and it must be supplemented exogenously. Normally that should be one of the first things learned in your research before you begin cycling.
 
I agree but I think with a small dose of test like 200-250mg it is a little higher than trt , well like that the nandrolone is the compound you add , what d you think ?
Before I rip you for stupidity please give me an example of this cycle and pct you are referring too. With the exact timing of everything so I can explain how stupid it is. As was stated unless you are on Trt you should never run deca

How is that stupid? Anyway. Deca and injectable dbol was my first stack. I did the test about two weeks later because I came up on it. So the first two weeks it was deca, dbol and then test e and finished with that eq for a total of 2/12-3 months. Mind you this was 15 years ago. I don’t remember the exact details all I remember is I responded well. Better than the other guys in Circle who did gear.

Honestly fish. I have plenty to choose from. I have a bunch of test and plenty of the derivatives. I’m starting off with deca and dbol and test prop. Then dropping the dbol after 4 weeks and then after week 6 dropping the deca. Week 8 prop is gone than for one month it will be mast and eq.then pct. I have everything I need Arim, letrozole, cab, hcg, clomid and novly. I’m shooting for 6 months of hgh. Working my way up to 5iu a day. I’m up for advice. If you think this stack is not good. Help me out. There is no exact measure to all of this. I’ll do 300-600mg of deca. 400-500 test prop. 30-40mg of dbol. Mast 200, eq 200-400. Im up for advice but how about easing up on the berating. Decent talk should be the norm not competing for the jerk of the year award. So how would you change this Fish and everyone else
 
so you shut yourself down hard with deca and dbol then you wait and add test e which take at least 3 weeks to kick in ? you must hate your dick
Never had a problem with my unit. My testes didn’t even shrink that much. My dr checked them out and said they didn’t atrophy very much. Deca didn’t shut me down very hard. I don’t remember the dose but I didn’t go to far above the standard

Bro that was 15 years ago. I was naturally muscular and lean as a teenager. Gained weight in my 20’s. Lost 30 pounds in a month and put on 15 or more of muscle. Using supps and good nutrition. I’m going to do it again at 40. I will show pics. If that is you in that picture. I’m not going to be able to get that big and neither do I want to. Like the guy above said. Deca and dbol is a standard stack Arnold used it and they work well together.
