Dogs

@ Docs here. my nex rot/ger shepherd mix has got a growth on his lower eyelid. Looks cancerous to me. Been growing fairly slow and increasing in rate of growth. They want to cut it out. Should I have concern about borders etc... Right in center of lower lid and looks like will be a painful heal if you can imagine a stye. What should I be concerned about.??? its a new vet..

Ill post a pic but please someone express interest..:)

I appreciate the interest.

I don't want to over-sound it. When I say that I think it could be cancerous, that's totally uneducated, and I am merely OBSERVING the growth pattern and look of it beneath the eyelid. But I don't know shit... I was expressing my FEAR... ONLY.. If you look at him it just looks like a dark nodule changing the outline of his lower eyelid at this point. It does stand out the lower eyelid a tiny bit now. Wife said the vet at the Rhem Clinic looks like she just got out of school, and kept going on about her.. I was like, "DAMN WOMAN? How HOT IS SHE!!!!".. WAIT..! I meant /SAID it's most likely benign but we need to get it before it gets larger....

OOOPS.. WRONG DOG. That's JabbyJawz. He passes a couple years ago. ADD lab. Love him to death... We had/have similar personalities... I am not sure if I rubbed off on him or VISA VERSA... LOL

There he is... Meet ZEUS...! 100lbs of Rot/German Shep. That's him in a scissor lock whist he's trying to get close enough to play the how hard can I lock my jawls on you before you cry uncle game... LOL... YOU CAN BARELY SEE IT HERE. Thought it would show up better... Lets see..

Too hard to see still... there's no abnormality on the exterior tissue. It just stands out the lower eyelid a bit and looks like its a raised ridge in the lower center area. I'll get a better before surgery...:)

No vet but sounds nasty. Let us know on progress.

Ill have to say. He's quite the lady's man. I took him out tonight on some errands cause he loves to ride with his head out the sunroof. I got different compliments from women in 5 miles and 30 mins...! I have a feeling this one could get me laid every day if I should so choose... LOL

Our favorite game is to pull up real close to another car at a stop light with his window down. He can almost reach the other driver. They usually sit there trying to stare forward like they don't see us LOL... (Guy or girl)... Then I mumble, "Hi!, I'm Zeus!".. Finally they have to acknowledge and Kills em every time... Its for the girls mostly. They are in the back like, "Daddy NO!!!"... :DLOL

I feel this man's pain. It's so true about the misconception. Pits are so loyal and friendly, it makes me sad. :(

How could someone hate or be afraid of this?603476_3949730174593_739224089_n.jpg
That's Sugar and Blaze. They are as peaceful now as they were in this picture. I love Blaze more than almost every human I've ever met.

Because people are NOT afraid of THAT.

They are afraid of what Pitts can do when they are in the hands of moronic, ignorant, saddist, psychopaths and sociopaths that are attracted to the breed like flies to poop.

There is literally a mountain of Pitts that end up in an incinerator every year for every 1 responsible Pit owner.

A Quick side note. When my wife first got him when we were apart taking a break. She took him to a vet and told him he was rescue. This asshole asked her was she sure she wanted to keep him that it was a certainty that he would bite someone some day... I say "ASSHOLE" because he was implying he wanted to put him down...! He was scrawny, strong, outspoken, and high strung. I will also add that perhaps it served to some degree in our case as we were equipped, and had I not been involved in his life, he would not have so much self control... HE TAKES CONTROL. HE OWNS HIS OWN. BUT I OWN HIM. He is relaxed and a different dog now realizing hes #1 / BUT second to me... You should see him come full speed toward me when "Jousting" and take a 5 foot leap in the air at me and his surprise when I duck and shoot under him... LOL .. He needs lots of good play...

On the bite training... That's terrible..! Why would you ask.?? I seriously doubt anyone here is of that character. Cops and military would be the primary use here.

The beauty of this guy is that he was just born that way. BUT to ONLY THE PEOPLE OR ANIMALS which are truly a threat!! Every seen one of these guys pull someone out of their car window..? They are pretty damn good at it... Apparently...

** Whats funny is that this dog does NOT go for throat on humans that I have ever seen. Of course I would not want to see what would happen to someone coming in with ill intent...!!! Like I said they are smart. And smart enough to know what type of force to use...

You read about PRICK COPS shooting them all the time. But the truth is that its only because they are familiar with PERVERTING THEM.. Its almost genetically bred into them to go for the arm... KEEP IN MIND HE IS SHEPHERD TOO. I don't know if I would own a straight up ROTT.

I WILL SAY THIS. There should be a LAW against FOOLS owning certain dogs. I have always had labs. (and they will eat your HOUSE if you don't understand how much attn they need..!) While labs are intelligent. This dog is somewhat of a free thinker, as well as loyal. And he is REAL PROTECTIVE / with control. IT REQUIRES AN ALPHA TO GAIN FULL CONTROL OF THIS ANIMAL... When we first got him he could have molested all the girls in the family if left unchecked. Not in a murderous way. He just had no self control. He was a rescue dog too..

That smile on his face. ... That can only be attained by LOVE...

Any folks here train their dog to bite humans?

Just seeing interest before I proceed.

Yea pitts are sweet animals to people by natural interactional learned genetic propensity these days.. Sadly, many times pitts are convicted based on aggression toward other animals and dogs which is of course natural. THESE ASSHOLES that raise pitts to fight. I WOULD LOVE TO EUTHANIZE THOSE FOLKS... They have created a cascade of REPUTATION ISSUES for pitts UNDULY.. UNFAIRLY.

Funny how pitts LOYALLY serve people and many times those same ones that would have them harm themselves for simple amuzement or people not fit to live...:mad::mad:

NO ONE should have ANY DOG OR CAT around infants not securely monitored.

I HAVE SEEN LABS, goldens, dalmatians. and ALL KINDS TOGETHER IN PACKS TEAM UP AND KILL ANIMALS. DOnt matter the type. its nature...

THERE IS A GAP GROWING HERE. Those that should be exterminated. And those that are ready to migrate onward...

Now HOW would SUGAR feel about that statement...?!? ;)

You'd be shocked man. My wife and I will take the dogs and our niece for walks and people are afraid of the pitbull even as its licking and playing with our niece.

We raised the dog with as much love as we could and it shows. I understand how people are worried but it's such an uncommon thing in the real world. When shit goes south it's because of a fucked up owner. I'm sure their is an outliers dog that snaps from time to time as well....

My problem child is my lab/Shepard mix. Total cunt. Great home alarm system though.

@BBC3, Sounds like a good one, you should try organised sport. Lots of fun competitions at all levels.

Search AKC for US, UKC for UK etc.

Any dog can snap out, Pits have had 100years of the most brutal selection to do a lot more damage a lot quicker is the difference.

But yah, its all about the raising.

Here is a website I just stumbled onto that epitomizes the stupidity of humanity today.... This has GOT to be a production by some PSYCHO GROUP hell bent on murdering innocent animals and continuing the SPREAD of defective human genetics....!

Euthanizing Aggressive Dogs: Sometimes It's the Best Choice - VetzInsight - VIN

I think the title should be "Euthanizing STUPID FOLKS"...

Why not give the dog to someone that can handle it.?!?!??? Someone who the dog does not loathe and recognize as an imbecile...! CASE CLOSED...

Can you imagine if chihuahuas or Jack tussle terriers did as much damage as pitbull? They are savage compared to most pits. Way more aggressive towards humans.

You're right man. The damage they inflict is almost unparalleled. Almost. They can kill a child or old person with a blink of an eye. I feel like I could take large pitbull on but if you throw a second one in the mix I'd be smoked. Tough breed for sure.
