Dr. Mariano or Dr. Crisler?

Shippen is the king of TRT, he was the first doctor to start this all off.

He is old now. He is the original gold standard though.

Read this post of his patients ripping him. It really exposed him and Dr. Overbeck.
Read it from the beginning until the end.

Just speaking from my own personal experiences - I've previously seen Dr Ronald Livesey

http://www.physioage.com/about_us/OurPhysicians.php

And Dr Rashmi Gulati

http://www.patientsmedical.com/physicians/rashmigulati.aspx

Both of them screwed me royally with their treatment protocols and did much more harm than good

After much debate on these and other boards and after a few e-mails and phone calls I decided to give HANS and Dr O a shot

So far it's been extremely good - I go in for followup blood work on 10/11 and we'll see what the test results show

Again - just from my own experience I would say that HANS and DR O are the best I've been to and I'm more than satisfied

Also - they - unlike the other doctors I've seen DO NOT tell you that you MUST buy supplements from them - they DO NOT tell you that you must use a specific compounding pharmacy

They give you the prescriptions and let you buy from wherever you want

They tell you what supplements you need and let you buy them from whomever you want to

The follow-up visit was $100 - extremely low when you consider what others in this field charge AND they don't put you on the clock - my follow-up last almost 90 minutes

Just my two cents - take it for what it's worth

Like I said before some may have had success with HAN and Overbeck, but some people who have more complex issues they seemed clueless on how to fix them. Whether you've had good results or not it does not erase some of the dirty tactics HAN using on this board and with many of his patients. It's not a coincidence that a lot of these people were experiencing the same issues with both HAN and Overbeck. These people traveled from all over the country and have no reason to make up shit for no reason.

Is it a coincidence that everyone who flys out to see HAN ends up posting a thread saying how great HAN and Overbeck are? The answer is no. He asked me to post several times just like he did to others.

Does he offer a discount if you do this? I know Holtorf gives like a $200 discount if you do this for his clinic.

No he does not offer any money at all, but he does ask everyone to post a thread saying how terrific their experience was. I feel that a lot of people do it because they fee like they have to since they are looking for them to fix their health issues. I mean just look at the amount of fucking threads posted. Is it because he is the Messiah?? Obviously not.

Well first of all I live in NJ - so - it's about a 90 minute drive for me to see them

Not everyone who see's Crisler is "cured" either -and the vast majority of his patients fly in to see him - and I would wager that if you posted really bad experiences with him on his board you'd be banned in a heartbeat

If you see a DR and are helped what's wrong with posting a positive experience about that doctor?

Be more specific about the dirty tactics that HANS uses - would love to know what they are

A couple of years ago, I flew out out to visit Dr. Mariano and had mixed feelings about the visit. I posted a thread here about it and it ended up getting loads of comments.

However, I am unable to find that thread in the archives.

Would it have been removed?

If the follow up visit is $100 - HOW MUCH OF A DISCOUNT DO YOU WANT????

If he sucks say so - if you feel he's good say so - WHAT'S SO HARD ABOUT THAT???

Question - Does a DR help EVERYONE he sees? I don't think so.

I doubt it. It still should be available in your old posts unless the whole thread was deleted.

Can you reprise your story?

Are you blind or something? Can you read? Where did I complain about the cost?

He sucks!! Are you that stupid that you actually have to ask that. Have you not been reading this thread?

No one said that everyone gets cured when seeing a doctor. There is nothing wrong with have a positive experience with a doctor and posting it. That also works the other way around too. If you don't have a good experience why can't you speak about it as well?

Dirty tactics? Again are you having a difficult time reading?Go back and reread this entire post and read the links that have been posted. If you still can see what some of us have been talking about then your hopeless....sorry!

A) no - Im not stupid - it's amazing what people will say when they can hide behind the cloak of internet anonymity as opposed to saying it to that person's face

But I digress

I'm sorry he could not help you - best of luck trying to find someone who can - no sarcasm intended or meant

But he did help me FWIW

I didn't ask or ever request a discount. I also did not complain about the $100 follow up cost. Cubbieblue ask if he gives one and I said no. Whatever Dr. Holtorf gives for a discount is irrelevant to me cause that's not what I'm looking for.

Skeptic,
How was your visit to Dr. Mariano?

Decided I'm going to see Thierry Hertoghe now as it's closer to where I live. Anyone been treated by him?

Speaking of cost, Dr. Shippen is $650 for the initial consultation and $150 to $250 thereafter. (If your visit is longer than a half hour, you get charged the "extended visit" fee.) Missed appointments are $45.

No insurance accepted as payment. :)

Please note that I have not made any implications about the value of the service or fairness of the fees in this post. Just facts for those that are curious.
