Understood, your credibility was never asked for or demanded by you, your actions earned it. I will refrain from mentioning you, again.

Some people are just natural leaders, others just wannabes.

You personal interest in getting involved and giving your opinion, whereas many people just could not care less, is laudable.

However, as you can see from the responses, your choice of leader would not materialise.

Let me ask you: do you think that it is OK for whomever "leads the project" to have a conflict of interest, in terms of purchasing here to resell, for example?
Or would such a scenario be inconsequential?

If so, how about Spaceman leading, regardless of his past?
He ain't a reseller, anymore.

Past or present does not matter, only that someone is not a self-centered prick, who believes it is either their way or the highway. Someone who is reasonable, prudent and not solely focused on themselves.

I would definitely support someone like @Spaceman Spiff since he has integrity and is not egotistical.

But the current leader will never allow anything which does not boost his ego.

I'm not the leader. There is no current project team. I am a member here.

If folks want to step up, define some goals, draft a scope of work, and assign a project leader that would be awesome. I would not want to serve as the project leader and have stated that in the past.

I think you should get involved with this.

May I please ask if you agree with the testing protocol in all its parts, as is, and so you just disagreed with how the idea was communicated or whether you think its scope/the way it is supposed to work needs to be looked at?

I think there needs to be a reasonable alignment on what testing will actually make a difference. Can vendor testing be trusted? Would it be better if consumers did the testing to hold vendors accountable? Which option is better?

I will say that belligerently demanding testing, which as of yet has not shown any benefit, is not going to make any improvements.

For example, endotoxin testing has not shown anything detrimental. This even includes a rookie brewer using a $45 still air box.

It is a rabbit hole that needs a clear definition of what will help harm reduction. My wife, has made it clear to me that she believes it is unlikely endotoxin testing will accomplish much of anything. Long before anything would be found, people would be complaining of infections and hospital visits.

I do not know the answer, but I believe the current demands have not gained traction.
