Finasteride [5ARI] Induced/Associated Effects

Re: Help me please -- Finasteride-induced secondary hypogonadism, low T/LH/FSH, high

Anyone have any idea as to why I can not significantly raise my T levels with Nolvadex? I've read where it is best to have HCG and Clomid and Nolvadex all 3 at once but I thought I also read where Nolvadex by itself would work. Is this not true?

Re: Help me please -- Finasteride-induced secondary hypogonadism, low T/LH/FSH, high

Let me say that in near future is that the drug company may have a huge ass lawsuit on them. I would love to be the lawyer working on that case.

They wont give a shit, believe me thousands of people die from drug side effects every day (just check the 4th or 5th leading cause of deaths in the USA let alone the rest of the world- guinea pigs most of us- if im not mistaken its side effects from drugs or something like that), the only thing that will happen is that they will take the drug away from the market and reintroduce it with a different name and a slightly different configuration. It has happened before and it will happen again. We are talking about companies that have been affecting world wide markets and governments.

Check out the fluoroquinolone case, thousands of people were crippled from the use of Levaquin, Cipro, Tequin and others and the only thing done after 20 years of relentless epidemics upon previously healthy individuals was to change the prescribing leaflet and add a precaution that these drugs cause permanent tendon injuries and CNS side effects. In reality that is the least they cause. I have seen 3 people in my fathers office, one girl almost became deaf after 5 days of Cipro, another guy had to cut down swimming and stay 3 months in bed to recover from the fatigue and headaches a 10day course of Levaquin caused him and the other one acts psychotic ever since. And thats only in an average office in a small city in greece imagine what takes place in the rest of the world. If you call up Bayer or the doctors that prescribe this drugs they will turn against you and say your mad and have psychological problems and stuff. I stoped busting my brains about drug side effects since i found out how interconnected the medical system and the pharmaceutical companies where. Its disgusting

Where is oneday at??Haven't heard from him forever!

sorry anonnn1,

I haven't been posting because I at a point where I don't know what to do. After I stopped PCT, my sleep quality went from shit to great and my skin has become increasingly oilly (maybe a strong indication that DHT is active), and a great increase in scalp itch, as far as libido it is ok, and erections are not impressive. So, where do I go from hair. haha (play on words) PCT has devastated my hair and it is 100x thinner than it was prior to PCT. Hmmm...do I get depressed over losing hair or having poor erections (65%-85% erectile quality to date), or both. The hair thang, I'm hoping that it is temporary because it could take 4-6 months for hair to recover from nolvadex usage. I was telling solonjk that the only time I had great erections on a daily basis was when I was on Big Softies stack, which pretty much consisted of Sustain Alpha(main ingredient is resveratrol), toco 8(vitamin E complex), endo amp, and ZMK. For now, I want to meet girls and be able to get a hard erection naturally, so I'm gonna try Softie's protocol again.

If i had to do PCT over again, I would try Hcg without the nolvadex and only do 150 ui of hcg. Then, I'll take GHB right after to lock in it's affects because I think sleep is a major component to BODY RESET. Here was my observation: After pct, my sleep quality was drastically better, then 1-2 weeks later I noticed that I was starting to get more awakenings and I decided to take GHB for 9 days. After 9 days, i was back to having great sleep again and I believe that the sleep allowed my body to reset itself back to the condition that it was in 2 weeks ago. Back in Nov 08, I tried xyrem (GHB) and it never improved my sleep quality so that means that PCT was instrumental in giving me restful sleep.

I don't want to lose anymore hair and I want some libido, so I'm gonna try Softie's stack (PROPECIAHELP: Unresolved Finasteride Propecia Proscar side effects info & forum) for the time being. Last time I tried this, it took me 3 months before I notice rock erections (100% erectile quality) and 80% libido (aka sexual desire). Why did I stop Softie's stack??? I stopped originally because sustain alpha was giving me a rash and giving me body hair, also ZMK delayed my speech because you'll have a hard time searching for thoughts on that supplement. After trying pct, i'm gonna return to what I know works.

New Approach but using old methods:
1. Try Big Softie's stack for 3 months or more. I will be taking all supplements in the morning because don't want it to affect my testosterone levels, LH, FSH, and so on during the night because it could disrupt my biorhythms.

Sustain Alpha
- will substitute with 500mg pill form of resveratrol (Resveratrol 250 mg | Resveratrol Supplements | ReserveAge™ Organics) (70% bioavailability if injested) instead of using the lotion from primordialperformance

Toco 8
- I don't know if this contributed towards getting rock hard erections but it was apart of the original stack that I tried when I got great erections.

Endo Amp
- I don't know if this contributed towards getting rock hard erections but it was apart of the original stack that I tried when I got great erections.

ZMK
- won't be taking this yet because it gives delays me mentally

2. After getting rock hard erections for several weeks, I'm gonna take Xyrem to hopefully use sleep to LOCK in the results.

PS: How to wean yourself off Xyrem?
1. on the last day of xyrem, take half a dose instead of the 2 dose at 11pm and the other at 3am. Just take the 1 dose at 11pm and you should sleep till 5 am, so wake up at this point so you will force your body to be tired during the day.

2. at the end of the night, take 2 tabs of 300mcg of melatonin at 11pm-12am then go to bed. You wont have the best sleep but you'll be able to sleep.

3. next night, take 2 tabs of 300mcg of melatonin at the same time like the prior night and go to bed.

4. continue this for 5 days and you should sleep normal afterwards.

maybe you have testicular shrinkage and your balls are not responding to LH. Try taking 150ui of hcg every other day before bed time and take some nolvadex. the hcg should bring your balls back to life and nolvadex should help your pituitary produce LH.

My testostesterone went from 455 to 855 on PCT, so pct definitely works but once you stop, your testosterone levels will fall back down. what is your testosterone levels now?

It's good to see you back man. I was wondering what happened to you.

I've also had success with Sustain Alpha. I would be cautious substituting S A with resveratrol in pill form. I believe resveratrol is extremely effective in a transdermal (not so much in oral form). Plus, you won't get the benefit of the benzoflavone in a pill. 7,8 Benzoflavone is the primary ingredient in S A.

Re: Help me please -- Finasteride-induced secondary hypogonadism, low T/LH/FSH, high

Oneday, do you have any last minute biochemical tests regarding your homrone levels nowadays or are you gonna proceed to your new experimentation without them??

Im just curious to see your levels

While transdermal resveratrol is effective, there is no proof that given a large enough number of mgs of oral resveratrol that oral is not just as effective as transdermal. Also where are the studies and research on the effectiveness of 7,8 Benzoflavone???

Oneday: Where did you see data that oral resveratrol was 70% bioavailable?

This is a personal observation. I've also heard the same from others.

There are multiple studies that show benefits of benzoflavone. If you go to Primordial website, I'm sure the head honcho over there will point you in the right direction.

Here is a recent warning on the use of 7,8-benzoflavone.

Are there any other studies besides this one? I have my doubts concerning this article. It starts off by saying "there is a compound used by bodybuilders that acts as a powerful aromatase inhibitor". Benzoflavone is better described as modulating GnRH. It prevents suppression of this hormone. Which allows it to stimulate the synthesis of LH and FSH.

Re: Help me please -- Finasteride-induced secondary hypogonadism, low T/LH/FSH, high

Hello my name is Matt O'Brien. I am a 16 year old in highschool and recently I had some blood work done because for the past year I have been feeling the following symptoms: Fatigue, weakness, constant hunger, cold body temperature, frequent urination and overall lack of enjoyment in everything I used to do. The blood work came back with extremely low tesosterone, high cortisol, and little pituitary function. What triggered all of this happened a year ago in the summer of 2008. Starting the summer around June I weighed 130 lbs and just got done competing at state wrestling. When that was over I decided to cut down for next year right away to have a better chance at doing better in wrestling. I started eating less and less, and eventually all I ate was mostly protein, verry little carbohydrates, and little to no fats at all. All of this ended around September, so from June-September around four months I had pretty much developed an eating disorder from my favorite sport. Before I had my bodyfat taken for school, I was at 7% so I was naturaly lean anyway. Recently I have noticed that the six pack I normally have is covered in a layer of fat. Not only that but I am losing weight but gaining that bodyfat... I don't understand if the low tesosterone and growth hormone is causing bone and muscle loss, but I lift three times a week at the school and have not noticed many strength losses, I just can never get any stronger. It kills me to know that everything I do will only make me worse, I have no idea how to correct this hypothalamic/pituitary problem. It would mean so much to me if you could help me with this, I think my doctor is running out of ideas for me. He has sent me to an endocrineologist in Des Moines, IA and she took seven serums of bloodwork showing all this. I should probably tell you that I'm not Nutritionally defecient in any way, I eat around 2,000 calories a day full of the right protein, carbohydrates, and fats. I even supplement healthy fats like fish oil omegas to try to help it. I take a multi-vitamin and an extra b-vitamin complex everyday to try and help. Nothing works. Not only did all of this mess with my quaility of life, my favorite sport, wrestling, is now being taken away from me because I don't have the energy to practice or compete... This whole thing luckily has not taken my good group of friends yet, but as I get more down about it I start telling them I don't feel like hanging out with them more and more mostly because I can't keep up any more.
I wonder if it is secondary hypogonadism and if hcg would correct it. All I do know is I learned a lot about my endocrine system, most of it things I thought I never would need to know.

Pct Restart

For the last 6 months, I've been preoccupied with projects where i was working 7 days a week, so didn't have a chance to keep you guys on my regiment, my experiences, and the success/failure of pct. I want
to apologize for being absent during that period. NO annonn1, i'm not some marketing rep for meso-rx.com, but it was your post (PROPECIAHELP: Unresolved Finasteride Propecia Proscar side effects info & forum) that gave me a chuckle and made me want to come back to post my experience.

Experiences after PCT (hcg & nolvadex):
- hair and nails thinned severely that includes pubic, leg, scalp hair
- finger and toe nails had thinned out and became more brittle and fragile
- for 5 months my head was itchy and my skin was saturated with oil.
The oil wasn't smooth like vegetable oil, but it had a grainy and gritty texture like lard.
- I still maintain night time and morning erections.

Recovering from PCT:
In November 09, i noticed ripples on my nails, it is almost like tree rings in the nails that shows growth. The top half of the nail is thin and the lower half (closer to the cuticle) is twice as thick which is an indication of estrogen returning. My face isn't as oily as it was before and the oil is smooth like vegetable oil. As for hair, I cannot tell if it will return to it's original thickness prior to pct and I pray it does.

What did I learn from PCT:
i learned that pct does increase your testosterone and how you feel with the increase hormones that courses through your veins. I remember when i was on hcg, that I felt confident, gitty, and aggressive but this is unnatural to feel this way for an extended period of time. Everyone remember what they felt like prior to finasteride and you cannot tell me that you felt happy every single day. Of course not, there would be good
days, bad days, and ok days. (Remember this feeling because i'll make references later) However, my libido hasn't come back even with PCT and I can't say it is a failure because it has given me perspective.

With pct, i gotten night time and morning erections consistently and 1-3 spontaneous erections per month. I find that the erections occur after I eat lunch (2-3pm) and feel kinda sleep. There could be some sort of GABA interaction there because it is only noticeable if i feel sleepy.

(Tangent)
I feel that getting a good night of sleep can only help your body recover faster, so i decide to start juicing. I bought two machines to juice vegetables, the Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite
([ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002VAFVG]Amazon.com: Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite 1000-Watt Juice Extractor: Kitchen & Dining[/ame]) and Omega J8006 ([ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001L7OIVI]Amazon.com: Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer, Black and Chrome: Kitchen & Dining[/ame]).

Breville Juicier
Pros:
- assembly is easy
- juiced vegetables very quickly
- didn't have to chop the vegetables prior to processing because the juicing orifice was large and you can put a large apple with chopping it up.

Cons
- there were alot of wasted juice because the juicer could not ring out the remaining juice out the fiber
- clean up was a pain because the components were big and a lot of time was spent trying to clean the mesh.

Omega J8006
Pros:
- assembly is easy and tear down was just as quick
- effectively removes all juice from the fiber
- clean up is fast
- components are small and everything will fit into the sink

Cons:
- juicing orifices is small as shit and I have to cut down apples wide enough in order to process the food.

I can tell that juicing has improved my sleep, i'm able to have deep sleep with the following recipe: 1 large beet root, 1 brocolli crown, 2-4 apples, and five large carrots. If I have that recipe during the morning, the bags under my eyes disappear and skin looks great. Juicing can get expensive so find a local food store that sells decent vegetables at an affordable price. Around me, there is Aldi and Price Rite. For example, I'm able to get 5 broccoli crowns (3 dollars), 5lbs of carrots (3 dollars) , 5lbs of apples (3 dollars), and 10 lbs of beet root (4 dollars) at Price Rite which will last me for 1 week. Juicing could have lead to the thickening of my nails but i can't say for sure. I've been juicing for the last 3 months religiously and it is hard for me to differentiate whether estrogen is coming back and improving skin/nail quality or a combination of both estrogen/juicing

Back to PCT restart:
With my projects completed, I can start focusing on PCT restart except this time, I will try something that has worked for me in the past. I know that Sustain Alpha has definitely worked for me where it gave me rock hard erections, libido was 75% and every erection came with precum action. All my erections under Sustain Alpha was oozing seminal fluid from the get go and emotionally i felt aroused. Over the past few days I been trying to formulate a program for myself and figure out what i want to incorporate into this regiment. Last month, i tried out Dermacrine, sustain alpha, zmk and here are my initial experiences.

dermacrine
- The first day I applied dermacrine by Primordial Performance, i felt so confident in myself
- mental clarity was uncanny and i was making girls laugh because of my quick wit.
- testosterone must act like a regulator for thought because the difference with testosterone is night and day.
- the next day, had less of an effect and felt ok unlike the first day i tried it
- 3 days after the first dose of dermacrine, i felt depressed, sleep deteriorated with each day of use.
- I started to feel depressed after 7 days on dermacrine and decided that this product cannot be used everyday.

Sustain Alpha
- About 2 months ago, I was using an old can of the product and applied it to my body not in accordance to the instructions. I felt that there was no change in emotion, erectile quality, and no improvement to libido. It could be that it was an old can, so i ordered up a new one and applied it to my body as directed by the instuctions.
- Every morning I wake up, I use a wash cloth in the shower to wash away all the dead skin, then I apply the new formulation of Sustain Alpha and I feel more energy and happier on the product. The other
day I was at the hygenist and felt passionately engaged with her. I got tingles in my hands when she touched my hands as she was passing me the sample dental floss. I caught myself looking at her hand to
see if shewas married and I don't think she was. Even though, she was in her 40's but there was milf potential. haha So I think sustain alpha has merit in this new pct protocol as long as i wash my body before it is applied.

I decided to revisit an old thread of Big Sofite's (PROPECIAHELP: Unresolved Finasteride Propecia Proscar side effects info & forum) to see if I missed read something that he did differently than I did when I originally took Sustain Alpha one year ago. Indeed, i did miss something and homeboy took Paravol and sustain alpha but I didn't really pay attention to the Paravol part. here is his post:

Some advice I can give is to just eat well, have a stable schedule, sleep and rest well, and stay away from drugs, caffeine, alcohol, cigarettes, etc. Also don't forget to eat well, if you can eat 6 smaller meals throughout the day it is better for you and your glycemic index (or something like that). So your blood sugar will stay stabler and you will just feel better overall. Also take some quality supplements and a good multi-vitamin. More specifically things such as Omega 3, Maca, Tribulus Terestris, Chrysin/DIM, Muira Puma, Longjack, Avena Sativa, Horny Goat Weed (quality Icariin extract), and of course resveratrol (stuff in dermacrine sustain)

The section in bold are ingredients in Paravol but I didn't realize this until I reread his entire recovery thread. This mo fucka, should have said out right that he was on Paravol vs site the ingredients list for the product. :) As a side note, I took finasteride for 6 months vs Big Softie's 2 weeks, so my shit will be hard to come back from than his situation. I believe that he is on the right track because I did experience libido, rock hard erections, precum, and energy a year ago on ZMK, Sustain alpha, toco, and endo amp. The new formulation of Sustain alpha smells a lot better and doesn't have grit (ground up grape seed) compare to it's old formulation a year ago. The only reason I tried pct (hcg and nolvadex) because it has worked for so many in meso-rx.com that is why I decided to try it. However, we have issues with finasteride side effects not anabolic steroids, so our treatment is going to be different. When I stopped ZMK, Sustain alpha, toco, and endo amp a year ago, it left me with residual benefits such as mild erections, got rid of erectile numbness, but libido remains at %10. I think maybe if I treat myself with Paravol and Sustain Alpha in the proper sequence with the addition of exercise and sleep that my body will maintain the effects that I experienced 1 year ago.

Here is my new protocol:

for 3 weeks
take 1 paravol pill daily, once in the morning and evening for 3 weeks
take sustain alpha after a rigorous shower for 5 day on and 2 days off.

after 3 weeks
I will take 1 paravol pill daily, once in the morning and evening every other day.
I will take sustain alpha on the same days that I take paravol.

I mentioned above to remember how you felt prior to Finasteride and a person could not have felt extremely happy/confident/aggressive every single day because I don't think your body could natural produce
high amounts testosterone every single day. Everything is regulated by a clock and negative feedback, so I'm gonna try to operate under those parameters. I will coincide my exercise program when I dose
Paravol and Sustain Alpha. I need my body to increase the testosterone UPTAKE by the muscles so that the left over testosterone doesn't overwhelm my pituitary and cause a reduction in LH production.

(analogy: It is like the movie Brewster's Millions - A minor league baseball player has to waste $30m in 30 days in order to inherit $300m) In essence, the exercise program is used to deplete testosterone in the blood stream to reduce the negative feedback in the brain. In the future, I will to find an exercise to do every 100 to 120 mins because i want to try to restart my LH pulsation (https://digital.lib.washington.edu/..._Luteinizing_Hormone_Releasing.pdf?sequence=2). I think when you subject your body to high amounts of prohormone as in the case of finasteride users, you end up shutting down the natural clock cycle of your body. This is why my sleep is all fucked up and testosterone production only happens at night and early morning (ie: night time/ morning erections), so a proper exercise program is require for this new pct protocol. Or Maybe, I can inject myself with hcg every 120 mins but dosage is critical to induce testicles to produce enough testosterone that won't shutdown lh production. Let me try restarting with exercise every 120 mins to see if that works. Big Softie believed in eating 6 meals a day and that may help to regulate internal cycles in the body but he didn't overtly state that. If I use food, exercise, and sleep to regulate and control the LH clock cycle, then I may be able to get back to my former shape.

How many of us have measured our LH pulsation??? Uh, I think none of us have done that. Usually we just measure LH, testosterone, estro, and other lab work at one moment in time and we don't know if our LH pulsation is normal. So I'm suggesting that some or most of us could have a LH pulse problem. Also, don't get me started with lab work because i don't think it is effective in diagnosing issues. It is not going to tell us what is happening at a cellular level and what genes are being expressed. There are some members in the forum that don't believe 5ar gene may have been affected during the Propecia use, I beg to differ. ie: I was watching a NOVA episode (A scientific show on public TV) and they were showing how drugs can certainly affect gene expression.

nova episode link:
summary: NOVA Online | Teachers | Classroom Activity | NOVA scienceNOW: Marathon Mouse | PBS
show: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/sciencenow/media/downloads/NSN_MarathonMouse.mp4

It's plausible to me that Propecia can directly or indirectly influence genetic expression just like we can influence the gene expression as shown in the Nova episode either by drug/exercise.

Today, I'm starting my PCT RESTART and took Paravol/Sustain Alpha this morning. talk to u soon. oneday

Re: Help me please -- Finasteride-induced secondary hypogonadism, low T/LH/FSH, high

I took finestride for only 11 days and I started experiencing the same symtoms like you guys: foggy head, loud ringing in the right ear lighter in the left (I wander why) just like after coming out of a rock concert, low libido, dizzines, imbalance(can you believe that ). From a cool head gym guy now daily I feel weird, irritated, nervous, shaky, and would loose temper easily never like before.

Happy to find this forum and stopped finesteride since 20 days. Still suffering all the above especially getting bad in workdays. Seen 4 Drs: 3 x ENT, 1 x family Dr, got prescriptions from them only 2 helped a lot by 30% improvement: Nootropil (gives me sharp thinking and increases my concentration and steadys my head ) . Betaserc (very good for getting blood flow in the brain nerves also helps brightening my head) But all symptoms come back or fade away its so funny I cannot have a steady cool head for 8 consecutaive working hours like before.I was told to abandon, alcohol, and coffee, especially red wine because it clogs my neck carotid veins which feed blood to my brain. Fogginess its always high and low can 11 days of finesteride have fucked up my brain.

I found at GNC 2 very good herbal preparations that I think I should tell you about and urge you to try on empty stomach and post results they really clear my head and give me enjoyable sex and high libido:
**Tribulus 2 capsules in the morning with water I always try the effectivity for head clearing
**Gingko Biloba: but only the bottle labled "Improves Mental Sharpness" the others no good dont waste your money. Very good for sex my wife wanders what I am taking.
For prostate I take the herbal palmetto extrat 4 tabs 1 shot they have zinc added in them very good from GNC ask for the black bottle labled :For Men, others were useless.
The above greatly help in the evenings, but the next day at work I suffer back again with all the
side effects so what to do any advise.

Re: Help me please -- Finasteride-induced secondary hypogonadism, low T/LH/FSH, high

Palmetto ?? Zinc?? They dont let T convert to DHT. Stay away from them, Palmetto ts like taking finasteride!!!!!

Zinc is a no no too. Unless you are very low on it, or taking too much vitamin C or copper

Re: Help me please -- Finasteride-induced secondary hypogonadism, low T/LH/FSH, high

THANK YOU I WILL STOP PALMETTO AND ZINC FOR A WHILE
VERY VERY IMPORTANT I THINK THIS IS A NEW FINDING/ BREAK THROUGH READ THIS ALL OF YOU AND GO DO THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT TEST TO YOUR BRAIN ARTERIES
I AM NOT A DR BUT I AM AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER I RESEARCHED THIS MYSELF on my brain:
"Carotid Artery Ultrasonic Doppler Scan" Carotid arteries run up from the heart and feed both sides of the head with blood. [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_carotid_artery"]Common carotid artery - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Gray506.svg" class="image"><img alt="Gray506.svg" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e6/Gray506.svg/250px-Gray506.svg.png"@@AMEPARAM@@commons/thumb/e/e6/Gray506.svg/250px-Gray506.svg.png[/ame]
This non-invasive test is easy and determines blood speed and brain arteries' photos.
My Test results showed imbalance in my SUBCLAVIAN blood systolic velocites: LEFT SUBCLAVIAN PEAK SYSTOLIC VELOCITY: PSV-left =150CM/SEC WHILE
RIGHT SUBCLVIAN PEAK SYSTOLIC VELCITY PSV-R =199CM/SEC.
THAT ALL ADDS UP NOW....I EXPERIENCE TINNITUS IN MY RIGHT EAR but not left BECAUSE MY RIGHT SUBCLAVIAN ARTERY IS FEEDING MY RIGHT BRAIN SIDE WITH BLOOD AT A MUSH HIGHER SPEED THATS WHY I AM FEELING IMBALANCE AND DIZZINESS ....BLOOD RUNS UN-EQUALLY ON BOTH SIDES OF MY BRAIN....Finesteride not only shrinks prostates it could HAVE SHRUNK MY SUBCLAVIAN ARTERIES SOMEHOW. I NEVER HAD TINNITIS BEFORE, OR IMBALANCE, OR SUCH SYMTOMS...
THE QUESTION IS HOW TO GET BRAIN ARTERIES' DIAMETERS BACK TO NORMAL IF I AM RIGHT.. IT IS UP TO OTHERS TO POST THEIR RESULTS OF THEIR PSV'S TESTS.. IN SEARCH FOR THE TRUTH....WILL T, OR DHT EVER GET THEM BACK TO NORMAL?MY DOCTOR TOLDME IT COULD BE PLAQUE BLOCKING THE SUBCLAVIAN ARTERIES BUT WHY I DIDN'T HAVE THESE SYMPTOMS BEFORE?

I had to teach myself how to read the results' terms because the report had a lot of abbreviations just be cool . Also I had to pick up teeth trying to get explanations and photos from the lab technician and/or the Dr who signed the report . I am an electrical engineer with an Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and this helped a lot in uderstanding and researching the results as I had a project done on Doppler speed measurments in my university days. By the way normal subclavian artery PSV=100cm/sec so mine are now higher than normal by 20-30% and with imbalanced blood speeds Alas! where is the FDA. I have the website of the article with published normal subclavian PSV speed results

Re: Help me please -- Finasteride-induced secondary hypogonadism, low T/LH/FSH, high

Does anyone have an answer to this question:

Can finasteride be taken with testosterone elevating drugs so that TT levels be kept in normal levels while FN keeps prostate size in control ?

Low Libido, numbing, aching and sleeping problems - I quit finasteride 4 months ago

Hi guys,

I don't do steroids and I never have, but from late september 2009 until March 2010 I took generic finasteride for hair loss, on and off and at varying dosages because of side effects when I was actually on the drug. It has been 4 months since I quit and I am experiencing a number of problems, similar to that of when I was taking finasteride but much worse:

- Low libido (I have no sexual fantasties, I don't wake up horny, and the only time I am ever in the mood is when I am with my girlfriend) It feels like something isn't clicking between the brain and 'down there'

- Less morning/ spontaneous erections, my penis will actually often feel numb in the mornings, even when urinating

- Lack of sensitivity in the penis

- Muscle aches along with a tingling feeling all under my chest, through my arms and often throbbing feet

- SLEEPING PROBLEMS - this one is really killing me at the moment, every night I try to sleep I put my head down and just as my body wants to shut down I go dizzy and jolt, I then begin to have heart palpitations. This happens over and over until I eventually fall asleep, only to often wake up again at 5/6am and then struggle to get back to sleep.

I believe these are post-finasteride symptoms, unfortunately my doctor isn't too great but he is listening and I told him I will wait another month to see how things go. I am basically after any comments or input, it would be great if I could get some tips on how to possibly help my situation over the next month, for example supplements good for sleep etc.

I currently take, Fish oil twice a day, ZMA, and multivit, I also have some yohimbine which I might try out at some point.

Man I'm another UK guy who was finasterided badly, you'll be ok trust me just exercise. Yours is a mild case be very thankful. Read through the recoveries section on propeciahelp, it's mostly guys who had mildish symptoms not full blown collapse in T levels, fog , severe ed and the rest.
