Fructose bad? Even fruit?

What a crock of shit. I can't believe ppl still fall for this crap.

You only posted one study which references mainly epidemiological studies which can show cause and effect. My suggestion is to dig further and don't believe overhyped BS.

Well idk I've been avoiding sugar and fruit in general and it's been helping me idk if it's toxic to the liver or not but it wouldn't surprise me it has to pass through the liver to be used doesn't that sound like possible liver damage especially at high amounts in fruit or in concrete form. Idk some things you don't even need study's to make sense of just a fucking brain. Lol

Why would you avoid fructose post workout?
I can try to search for the article I found about it. But I had read that a high fructose post carb meal, because of the way its processed through the liver as opposed to something like dextrose made it less beneficial for post workout.

I apologize for not having the specifics. I should have found that prior to posting

A few reasons it's not as efficient as let's say dextrose or other carbs it has to go through the liver then in to the blood. And it's just not good for us it has potential to be liver toxic it can also mess up your cholesterol levels. I mean sure 30 grams of fruit probably won't be so bad posts work out if that's all you take but I don't really see much point.

And if you watch the video they talk about spilling over I think fructose has more potential to spill over and less chance of going in to the muscle compared to other carbs

Oral steroids pass through the liver yet you still take them don't you? Advil passes through the liver but if you have a killer headache youd likely be taking that too.

Your argument is basically that anything that passes through the liver must be toxic. Newsflash, damn near anything that goes down your throat will pass through the liver. I guess water is now toxic....

It's not as efficient as dextrose at replenishing MUSCLE glycogen but much more efficient at replensishing LIVER glycogen. When liver glycogen gets depleted, guess what it signals downstream??? Give up? It signals catabolism.

You haven't proven fructose isn't good for you. You've only given your ill advised and misinformed opinion.

No point in fruit? Hmmm, so there's no point in fiber, hydration; micronutrients, etc. yea ok lol.

This is the second time you've given out horrendous advice in as many days from what I've seen. Please let's not make this a habit.

Pussy juice...never again. Hepatoxic as hell :)

Yup
So everyone knows pop and candy are pretty much a no go unless you want to dirty bulk.

but did you know fructose is potentially liver toxic? Or could mess up your cholesterol?

Well yeah here is some info "apparently" even as little at 30g of fructose can be enough to be liver toxic according to enhanced athlete.

Here are some studies and a video

Guys. Fructose is not efficient at filling out muscle glycogen. Yes. Fully agreed. But to think for a moment that eating fruit/berries in large quantities is toxic to the liver is silly. Think of all the people and cultures that live around the equator and the more warmer parts of the world and consume fruit daily their entire lives.

It's not as efficient as other sugars at replensishing muscle glycogen like I told the other guy but it's great for replensishing liver glycogen which is a signal for catabolism.

Dose and context man. Of course you don't want only fructose but to go ou of your way to avoid it is not going to help anything. Some ppl get better Muscle glycogen replensishment/super compensation with some fructose included in case you're not aware.

Haha what I'm saying is it has to be converted in the liver to glucose.
