Never should have happened. It should have been a reward for getting to know the bros. Membership has privileges. Instead we want to micro manage the internet.
If warranted exposing a source can provide linkage to members who scored from the source. It would be easy enough for LE to follow up if they wanted to. Is it likely to happen, no. Is it possible, I would say yes. After all, you have no idea of the quantity guys could be ordering.
Ragarding Brutus' name being mentioned, I'm sure he addressed that already.
Really though, BB didn't scam you. The title is all wrong, and posting the Private Message with that title is the biggest hang up. My dude, this whole thread seems like an invite gone wrong.
You've been around here a lil longer than I have, we've seen the ugl's scammers come and go. I can't understand why you chose to blow the whistle vs checking out the validity of the invite.

Well if all UGL is bunk & we can't trust other members, where the fuck do people get gear? Are there gear fairies that I haven't found yet? I feel what your saying. But I don't think in this case the status was used to sell gear. Instead status was used to deem someone worthy of an invitation and in this case it proved otherwise.

I couldnt agree with you more. Anyone knows that the time you put in here builds relationships and therefore connections. Its a big difference when soneone I know, talk to and trust offers me a good opportunity as opposed to a ugl or rep I dont know.
This thread was purposeful in that its obvious who should and shouldnt be trusted at this point. Its in my best interest to block and avoid these people as I dont want to risk my personal safety for someones ignorance.

I dont know the reasoning behind posting the pm eventhough you have explained it, I think you made a mistake without possibly knowing it. I actually feel bad for you but youre making this situation worse for yourself. Your entitled to you own opinion but you put alot of members security at risk and it was fucked up to name drop without further research.
You should have sent a pm to cbs as there are alternative methods of investigating other than immediately posting a pm. You have been here long enough to know this. Good luck on your fututre ventures. I suggest going to a regulated board where everything is black and white.

It isn't a scam. I have used several of the brands he resells and all have been more than adequate. I'm running Dyel TrenA as I write this and am experiencing the right amount of anger issues, mostly with you.

I see what you are saying but to me and others it is wrong to post a private message that could contain rather sensitive info which was entrusted to the person receiving it.
BB69 is one of the most known and respected members here and if he's sourcing he's playing it by the rules IMO. Posting that PM in the open thus violated the trust BB69 placed in the OP. If Alaskin had a bone to pick, he should have dealt with it privately rather than posting this thread to begin with.
This board is pretty much self-regulated and things work out well with this sort of arrangement and when the community's ideals are violated it gets dealt with swiftly and sternly.

The IS an OPEN forum P but the posting of PM (Private Messages) without the consent of the involved participants is a violation of TRUST, especially when the sender specifically REQUESTS confidentiality, as Ben did.

Exactly this. That is why PM's are to stay PRIVATE. Of course people who have been approached by an unknown source via PM should not post the PM in question but just acknowledge receiving such a PM. That way it can be dealt with.
