I should do more. Honestly right now I just go warm up with the barbell, then lift and then go home
Some people can get away with that there whole life. I can't I need to stretch and warmup properly before my lifts. Dynamic warmups then start my warmups lifts.

My wife asks why are i the gym so long. I said it takes me 1 hour to warm up and stretch. Then another hour to cool down and stretch. Now you throw in my workout, I'm at the gym close to 3 hours doing all that.

I am looking for a massage stick. Which massage stick would you guys recommend that have used them?

Can't be flimsy or soft. I need one that is hard. To roll out y quads and hammies.

@RodgerThat @Perrin Aybara @theprodgicalson forgot to add @Docd187123. At @Docd187123 pretty soon I will pm you and pick your brains.

Kabuki strength boom stick or go to your local fitness store they always have a bunch of rolling sticks or a running room store they usually have top quality ones for runners

I got my Texas Deadlift bar in today. My question how often should I train with it? I know some will say train has you play. I've used the Texas Deadlift a handful of times and it was a bit easier to pull with.

I ask this question because. When I played baseball, from high school through college. I would take batting practice with a wood bat instead of my game day bat. The bats were the same length, but the wood bat was a few ounces heavier and the wood bat had less hitting surface making more difficult to make solid contact.

This in turn led to better dexterity when switching back to my game day aluminum bat, which had a bigger barrel more hitting surface. Easier to make contact and definitely added more pop when hitting the ball.

Because it makes pulling just a bit easier than using a stiffer bar.

I'll be back squatting and pulling next week. So I'll be using it and go from there. But I see your point of view. You got the bar fucking use it. Lol.
Hell yea you better get some good use outta that motherfucker. That's a nice ass bar. Use that shit all the damn time i say

Using the Texas bar allows you to use heavier loads building your CNS more so when you go back to a stiff it's easier. So use the Texas bar to train but a stiff bar to peak for a meet

I'd work it in waves. One wave normal bar next wave deadlift bar. Another option is do your comp deads with the deadlift bar and any variants with the normal.

I'm going to go slightly against Roger here in that maybe it's ok to start meet prep with the normal bar but as you get closer to your meet, say 6wks out or so, switch to the deadlift bar for specificity to your meet

Actually ya forgotten completely that the deadlift bar in some federations use a Texas deadlift bar, my federation does not. So yes peak with the Texas deadlift bar so long as your meet uses a deadlift bar cause otherwise you'll overestimate yourself or you will be anticipating whip that never comes

What fed are you in?

Yeah it would suck to anticipate whip that will never come. The Texas Deadlift bar has lots of whip.

CPU is the governing fed but I compete in the BCPA they use a 28.5mm for deadlifts but no noticeable whip to it. It's a funny Canadian thing

No idea what either of those are unfortunately lol. I know some Feds here in the states allow DL bars and some don't. You should take a trip to the states, compete with me in RPS, and we chase some records down lol. I'd even host you at my place but my girl is scared to death of wild animals. I'll tear her you're a friendly bear though...
