Giant Semaglutide Thread (and other GLP-1 / GIP agonists)

I can't say. I never tried Sema, so I have no experience with cross tolerance in these drugs until now.

It was odd how hungry I was when switching between the two. As soon as I dropped the Tirz I was crazy hungry, even though there was still quite a bit in my system due to the half-life of the compound.

Tirz definitely works well and I didn't have many sides, but occasionally it wouldn't like what/how I ate and I would suffer a bit with feeling full and/or sulfur burps. The worst I've had with Reta is some fullness on occasion.

I gave it a try because I was interested in the Glucagon receptor action. I'll give it a while longer and see. I need to get bloodwork when the Reta level is more stable in my system. I had elevated thyroid levels on Tirz. I assume the same will be true for Reta.
What do you mean by "elevated thyroid levels"? Do you mean you had high TSH? Or did you have high T3/T4?

Anybody using QSC orange top reta (10mg)?

I been using that for 4 weeks at 2mg and I'm not sure it's doing anything. Felt way more hunger suprresion with Semaglutide at 500 mcg.
What are you expecting from 2mg? Switching from sema to reta probably should have started your dose higher imo. Aren’t you one of these people that came over from Reddit?

Retatrutide doesn't work only via appetite suppression. There is some, of course, but approx 35% of weight lost with it in the mouse trials was due to increased energy expenditure, not calorie restriction.

It still has GLP1/GIP activity, too, but if you've already been on Semaglutide already I wouldn't expect much if any appetite suppression from a 2mg dose of Reta; it may need to be much higher before you feel that.

But the important thing is: are you losing weight? Assuming your diet is good don't go by hunger, go by the scale.

This is I think a very bad idea -- that way lies potential heart complications. Retatrutide adds glucagon as its magic ingredient; in the P2 trial those who jumped to higher doses right away had a small but statistically significant chance of arrhythmia.

People who are coming from other GLP1s and already have a high tolerance for them may just have to stay hungry for awhile as they titrate up, if they want to avoid that.

Are we talking about bad ideas here or are we talking about what’s effective with least side effects? It wasn’t a bad idea for me when I switched from 1mg sema to 4mg reta. I wish I would of started at 5mg reta.

Risk-tolerance vs need for quick results varies, glad it worked out fine. Statistically that's the most likely outcome. I consider an unnecessary risk of cardiac issues a bad idea, but that's me, so I'm titrating slowly.

I've been using the QSC 4mg kit, and at 1mg per week, I've experienced appetite suppression and feeling unwell after small meals. I'm contemplating fasting due to a lack of hunger, but there's conflicting advice – some suggest a high-protein diet. Any insights?

Maybe try Omad or 16:8 fasting and see. I do this a lot because I’m simply not hungry throughout the day. You can still hit your protein goals fairly easily if you plan properly especially when cutting on reduced calories.

I was thinking this as well but I can’t eat large enough meals and when I do I don’t feel well. So far sushi and a few cans of sardines has been better for me spaced out through the day.

I say this while yesterday I went out for lobster, shrimp and oysters. I am still full from that but you get the point, seems like if the food isn’t delicious I can’t eat a lot of it.
