4 years ago dislocated my shoulder in a wrestling match in highschool... the trainer there told me it was ok so i went to some physical therapy and it never healed obviously.. i've always had bad pain with it and it slides out of socket fairly easily... but i've goten so used to the pain i didnt realize how bad it was
so last week i go to get it checked out again (4 years later after alot of doctor appointments and what not) and i got an MRI and arthrogram (where they inject a dye into the joint to help see in the MRI)...
it turns out i have had a very large labral tear in my left shoulder and its close to bein torn completly.. my only option is surgery...
the doc is the best in town but he says i'll be in a sling for 3 weeks... wont get full rotation for 2 months.. and wont be doing any form of heavy lifting for 4-6 months... i wont have the surgery till this summer... so i can finish this semester..
pretty depressing especially when i'm training for the collegiate nationals...
