HPTA restart after TRT.

Clomid can make a man go from zero to life in prison. IME
Are you referring that it can have lifelong consequences once stopped? I mean I want a kiddo with the wife, but I don’t want to mess up my system.

I’ve been on this Clomid for 4 months now and the Fertility Doc wants me to stay on another 2-3 more months before we start iui and it can take up to 4 attempts at that...so I could potentially be on it for nearly a year. Is there a withdrawal from it? I know the two isomers H/L is 10hrs & 5 days.

A little update.

It's been 68 days since I stopped taking clomiphene, and I've been progressively feeling worse.
I have developed serious anxiety, which I've never had this bad before.
I've been waiting to see if it gets better, but I think its only getting worse.

I got blood test taken last monday and I'm waiting to get the results.
I'm pretty sure that my levels have started to decrease, and if blood test shows that to be the case, I will get back on trt.
If on the other hand my levels would have actually improved, I'll just have to see and wait if these symptoms get better.

This far the effects that I thought quitting trt would releave haven't been effected that much.
-Sleep apnea is the same
-Still getting palpitations
-Blood pressure decreased for a while, but lately it has been a bit higher again.

Hang in there buddy. 68 days is not much in the grand scheme of total cessation. You’re going to need to give it like 4-6 months total off everything before you can make a real assessment of where you’re at, in my opinion and personal experience.

I hope you feel better soon.

The problem I see is that my balls are already waken up by 6 months of hcg, and pituitary is awake from the clomid.
LH was still high 7 (1-9) in the last blood test, so my balls and pituitary are surely as awake as they can be. So how could there be any more room for improvement?

Leydig cell receptor sensitivity.

My roller coaster continued, my last labs post in this thread I was 2 weeks post PCT test level was like 559. Checked it again 30 days later and it was 259. LH/FSH still normal.

Added back 25mg Clomid everyday and we are back in business. 458. Top range FSH and LH. My E2 was a little high so 5mg Aromasin once a week should help with that.

50+mg Clomid = raging asshole
25mg Clomid = feel good and mood stable

Decided to add clomid for a while because i quit it so early and I have like a really big batch of it left.
Gonna try a really low dose to see if my body could handle it.

I'm considering between 12,5mg ED or EOD.
Any opinions which would be better?

Didn't add clomid yet after all. Here are two lab results.

Testosterone: 22,6nmol/l (10-38) 22,6nmol/l = 653ng/dl
SHBG: 33nmol/l (18-54)
LH: 7u/l (1-9)
Free testosterone: 354pmol/l (155-800)

Testosterone: 15nmol/l (8-29)
SGBG: 28nmol/l (15-95)
Free testosterone: 249pmol/l (155-800)

I wonder why do I feel so terrible, considering the first blood test that looks actually quite good.

Hey I had a similar situation to you. I was on trt for about year and was cycling during that time. I had also run cycles in the past with incorrect pct prior.

my test levels are now 800 naturally. You’re gunna feel like shit for a bit you gotta take it in strides. It will get better. I would recommend to hop off everything. Keep hitting the gym and eating healthy. Then in 2 months or so hop on clomid for 2 weeks. This is what I did to get my levels 800 naturally after a year of try

Your actual free Test is 14 which isn't great.

What was your tt before trt?

Update!

Got tested today.
Total testosterone: 20nmol/l (8-29)
20nmol = 577ng/dl
SHBG: 32nmol/l (15-95)
Free testosterone: 317pmol/l (155-800)

Anxiety is almost competely gone, which is really nice.
It just sucks that my free T is still on the low side, even though my total is pretty ok.
I doubt it's gonna go any higher. Only lower.

I definitely had more energy on trt.

nice job! may I ask your age? im considering a TRT myself and always interested to hear about recovery protocols in case I decide to stop

on increasing your free T, I think there are protocols for this online, though im not familiar with them. perhaps worthy of research

also, did you run any 19nors during your TRT? it seems you only introduced HCG in PCT and not during TRT itself, am I correct?

31y. 32 in few weeks.
Didn't touch 19nors, and yes started hcg after stopping testosterone injections.
Hcg isn't prescribed during trt around where I live, so I couldn't run it during it.

I just managed to reactivate the axis, for the second time after 2 years in which I alternated cycles and trt, at almost 50 years. The only difference with respect to reactivation following a single cycle was in the need for a longer time to return to normal testosterone values (500 ng +/-) i.e. 14/16 weeks instead of 8/9 weeks, and to longer use of SERMs (65 days instead of the usual 35/40). I add that this second time I tried to use only clomid instead of clomid + tamoxifen and in the end the result was the same in terms of recovery time..

love to hear stories like this. 500ng is very impressive, I'm 20 years behind you and only have 450

what did you run while on cycle / TRT ?

I used just 4 products in my life: Test e, Tren e, winstrol and var.
Usually short cycles 8/10 weeks with test500 tren 250 /300 end sometimes 40 mg day win or var.
