I respectfully disagree. There are millions of young moderate Muslims fighting the establishment in the streets. There are countries 99 % Muslim and a democracy not sharia. Orthodox Christians pilgrimage to Istanbul for their sacret church without fear for centuries. Tv only shows the extremist. Most people live in harmony in Jordan, chad, morocco ,Turkey when it's not polarized. I do not know why you feel so strongly about the culture in whole but I respect your opinion. I disagree.

You were referring to my argument with Meek and suggested I was angry.

You're missing my point. It has nothing to do with culture and none of my comments were directed at Muslims per se. My comments were directed at Islam. I've never said ALL Muslims are waging jihad on the infidels, or that all Muslims hate the infidels. That would be absurd because it's not true. Some of the friendliest people I've ever met were in Iran. But just because most Muslims don't wage jihad doesn't mean the Islam practiced by ISIS isn't grounded in Islamic scripture, or that Islam isn't inherently violent.

I'm glad to hear you say there are millions of young Muslims fighting the establishment. Unfortunately, there are also millions of Muslims - young and old - who support the establishment.

You used Turkey as an example. As I'm sure you know, Atatürk stripped power from the clergy and secularized the country. Under Erdogan, Turkey is rapidly re-Islamizing. If Erdogan and the clergy are successful, which is looking increasingly likely all the time, the freedoms currently enjoyed by Orthodox Christians will disappear. And along with it the freedoms currently enjoyed by Turkey's Muslims.

Radicals are trying all In their power to discredit his reforms. I see your point about Islam. I watched this culture trying to move itself forward.
