So how many weeks are you post-op?

Can you do a sit-up, crunch etc yet?

4 weeks now. Still havent tried any ab work. I did some stretching today amd went a little too far, had some pain. I'll see where I am tomorrow doing explosive DL. They say recovery is typically 4 - 6 weeks, Im not completely there yet.
 
Did rep DLs today. Im exhausted. I dont know why anyone would do 10 - 12 reps. Somewhere Lilly is laughing at me.

The good news? Absolutely no pain or discomfort. 0
Im not a doctor, but I love vaginas...erm, I mean I think Im healed

Also tonite there was a hot girl doing heavy DL on the platform in front of me. That was great.
 
For anyone who reads this, are there any other good exercises for side delts that aren't lateral raises?

And if Im trying to get some roundness to my side delts is it better to do lots of volume at a low weight or higher weight and less volume?

Or lots of volume at extremely heavy weight? (Which I cant do)
 
I'm pretty sure overhead press hits all the delts when done properly. Plus it's a very manly exercise. Probably bro science but I'd think more reps, less weight. OHP for reps gives me the sickest upper body pump of anything.

Yeah. I finally incoorporated OHP back into my BB day after I read most of lilly's 365. Im just trying to figire out if there's any more I can add do that day since he makes a big deal not to deviate from regular training days. I may just add in lat raises on that day too (Theyre already used on bench day)

I'm doing delts 4x/week right now, I think you can throw them in whenever and be okay. One of these days I'll have to run that program.

I saw some study done using something like an mri (but wasnt an mri). Standing dbell shoulder presses hit the overall delt most effectively
 
Yeah hit up cambered bar upright rows and dumbbell lateral raises EOD. 3 sets of each. In any rep range you want. Thatll suffice

i vote for adding these in Jay. they are brutal but super effective. id much rather do these than Standing Barbell. if you're doing seated id go for barbell. once you learn how to get the DB's up in the standing position they are money.

Agreed. Sitting bar, standing dbell

But yes the heavier you go getting them up is a bit tricky
 
If im doing lateral raises and feeling them in my traps, am I doing them wrong?

Also I may try the standing dumbbell, but OHP is a staple of mine. Especially when I go heavy. Gets all sorts of oohs and aahs. Had a feller come up to me falling all over himself in May asking me about it.
 
Bench day went great. I can honestly say the hernias are a non issue. I can still feel them (literally, with my hand), but that's it.

Weights are starting to move easier, but Im planning on running the program with the numbers I have. Then I'll max out after week 9 and see where I am. Probably run it again as Im liking it.

Also filling out like a mofo. Im only 4 weeks in to a 16 week blast. Im excited to see where I'll be at physically by then.
