Cables are much more versatile. You can use the leverage any way you want. Standing further, standing closer, off to the side. Much more exact contractions this way. With dumbbells theres only a short moment where your actually lifting the weight. The rest is carried thru with momentum.

Also try static holds. Time that. Beat the time next week. Keep progressing. Consider it a form of strongman training

I do static holds on laterals and leg ext mainly. Can be applied to alot of exercises obviously. They just work really well with these two. Since your in to PL you know the concentric portion of the lift is your weakest phase of the lift. The next strongest form of strength? Static, the ability to hold a weight against gravity in place. Then the strongest eccentric(negatives) you will be the most impressive here. Gotta train all 3 for better performance

The great down fall of PL mentality is that everything must be done with ridiculous poundages. BB know better. Get those contractions in. If your doing it right itll hurt...in a good way. Then when your doing 50's with the same form and contractions as you did with 15's you will have officially arrived. But swinging and cheating will only get you hurt. Good work bro. Boulder shoulders

Thanks. I pause at the top briefly and if I'm doing them two handed I'll do it seated. If I'm doing one side at a time I'll grab a rack and lean away the other way to minimize body English. I'm no ego lifter by any means.
 
This SD is whooping my ass. The lethargy is real. Didn't feel like training today, but I did. By the time I left it was later than when I started.

The Deca Tren combo is good, but it had my nips hurting the last few inject days. I tried upping the AI but it didnt help. Took a small dose of nolva and Im good. I read in an old thread where Hucking had said the combo worked great, but was lethal...seeing its true. Hopefully the results are worth the journey.
 
So Im really liking this cube. After sheiko I was burnt out. Even though I only do one big type lift a day there's variations. One thing Lilly said in his book was you have to enjoy your training and I hadnt for awhile. Now even when Im tired I cant wait for the next session.

As for part one of this log, Im pretty much healed from the hernia surgery. I will keep updating periodically, bit Im going to be moving this week and finding a new job, so the log will take a back seat.

The training must have done you some good as you looking thicker and more solid. I'm sure you'll be back in fighting shape in 3-5 months. Keep killin' it big guy!
 
As you can see from the picture I got work to do, but im really lacking on side delts. Im going to find time to emphasize them while still worrying about POWAH!!!!
Try side laterals for side delts. I've been doing them for a while myself.

Im actually really pale for me right now. Didnt get to enjoy the summer :oops:

But im 4 weeks into a 16 weeker, so Im excited to see the end results.

Didnt feel like going today. But after Eman FORCED me to watch that CT Fletcher video and I had to will myself. Glad I did!

Today marks the start of week 4 of training and the start of week 5 pinning...and them long esters havr finally kicked in. Weight was moving easy. I feel like Im back...
