Marijuana [Cannabis]

Update: 4 new additions to my family. We just adopted 2 cherry pies and 2 true og. Cost $72 for 4.

Gonna leave them in current pot until this weekend and then transfer to 5 gallon buckets. Will use organic soil.

Gonna keep our new babies warm with 18 hrs on and 6 hrs off for not sure how long yet. I'll continue to research and change lighting as needed.

Closer view

14 hours is plenty, anything more you have a better chance of getting hermies IMHO.

Isn't the sex already determined?

I am so surprised how stinky these plants are already considering how young/small they are.
They can turn hermaphrodite. Cannabis actually has one of the most complex reproduction systems in the plant kingdom.

Best way to prevent hermies are never pop bag seed, and no light pollution, ever. Night means total night, pitch black. Go in the room with a roll of black duct tape, have your girl zip you in with no light, and seal up every punk rock and seal where you can see light.

This is important for 12/12. Very important.

EDIT: You don't even begin to understand the smell once flowering begins. Definitely need a carbon filter.

This is the green house. It's zippered. Go you think I should black out windows or just make sure to only check at night to prevent daylight from potential turning to hermes?

Nice, didn't notice this thread before. I'm curious if I can get a small grow going without attracting too much attention.

Anyways, someone was asking about the pax vaporizer... I have no input on that model, but a few months ago I picked up the davinci portable vaporizer, and it's excellent. $100 on eBay. Although we use it daily, so I kinda want to find an economical plug-in vape which is probably more suited to regular use.

Oh, and Gorilla Glue... Wow... I've had my 'prescription' card for a couple years now, but this one packs a punch. For a good time, pick up a gram of Moonrocks, and make sure you're sitting down.

You don't check them at night unless necessary.

If you black out the entire room, you can go in during their night phase with a true green LED light.

Any red or infrared light spectrum will trigger the receptor that controls their flowering response. This will also be what causes hermaphrodites.

Gorilla Glue, Golden Goat, Chem Haze, and Jedi OG are all very nice in my G-Pen :)
I've never been so relaxed while on such high doses of Tren ;)

Mix with some PG and put in a nice vape pen for convenience on the road .. also very safe .. capacinino flavored nicotine is what I say :)

I would blackout windows. you do not want any extra heat. controlling heat will be a bitch to do depending on your lighting.

Been snoking weed since i was 12.just another medicine to me, for me coming from doing every designer drug out there for about 4 years straight with law problems and becoming clean for the last two years fuck! How the fuck dont u smoke weed cuz i sure as fuck get stoned everyday post pre and intra idc, its me its how i operate and it lets me zone out and fuck the weights up. To bad my state cant get on board becuz the governers fat ass is to busy closing bridges to get to mcdonalds

Few of the leaves are turning yellow around the edges and eventually that leaf dies. I think this is due the PH not correctly balanced. My wife did some research and said that PH should be around 6. So our next goal is to get the PH balanced correctly.

What did you feed them? And what did you put them in when you transplanted?

Could be a heavy lockout from high ph. Looks more like nitrogen burn to me though. The crispy, blistered look normally gives that away. But it's been a while, so take that with a grain of salt.

Be very careful about trusting those soil probes. The better way is to get a decent water meter, and test the runoff from the pots.

Are you on a forum yet? Like AAS, that's where the knowledge base is really centered. Graascity/glasscity used to be very good, but I don't know the state of them now. Maybe @Morefyah can recommend a current good one for you.

And is the damage moving from the bottom of the plant upward? Or is it occurring all over?

High ammoniacal nitrogen could cause the high ph and burning simultaneously, IIRC. But these are skills long since out away, lol. Definitely get on a growing forum.

Either way, you'll want to flush with water that's ph adjusted slightly acid. Or an aact if you're full organic can usually remedy your ph woes, assuming your entire soil base isn't fucked.

We reported in 3.5 gallons buckets. 5gal seemed to big as there is limited amount of available space for these plants to grow.

So far only feeding with tap water.

Damage seems from bottom leaves only, but few leaves came that way.... Slowly spread to few other leaves.

I'll join look around and join couple forums dedicated to growing.

Thank you your continued and willingness to help.

do not use tap water ever. Advanced Nutients has a perfectly balanced soil for noobs, you should check out. you should be using distilled water. growing marijuana is not going to be cheap, especially if you want a great harvest.

Thank you. I think you mention them before.... I just checked them out and wow...they are designed for my kind of gardening.

I'll let you know what I purchased

Yeah, tap water is a pain in the ass to use. It can be done, but you have to account for the TDS content very carefully. Which requires good meters.

In Denver, our tap ran from 120-150 TDS, mostly calcium and a little sodium. Until it rained or we has snow melt. Then it would jump to over 500! All that salt and mag chloride they melt the snow with goes somewhere, and it goes straight into your water shed!

A cheaper low flow R/O filter can be had for about 100, and is the best investment you can make. Alternatively, the 5 gal water cooler buckets from Wal-Mart are a couple of bucks a piece, once you buy the bottle.

image.jpg Plants are looking good. Been so busy, haven't had a chance to order anything yet.

The yellowing of leaves are mostly gone. I think it was from prior to purchase.

PH is hard to control with soil grows. It's much easier with hydro. Even though, that doesn't look like PH damage to me. I also doubt it's nutrient lockout due to PH. To me it looks like nutrient burn ie too much nutrients. How much nutes are you giving them and now often? Seedlings and early stage clones need very little nutes.

HID lights are more expensive than cfl and fluorescent but the lumen output and kelvin range is much much better, especially the larger your setup gets. I have a few 1000W HPS lights and a few 1000W MH lights. They're a bitch to use on clones and seedlings bc of the energy and heat they put out so I use a few cfls or fluorescents for those. For vegging state I use the METAL halide lights and high pressure sodium for flowering.

IMO a 5gal bucket or larger should be used if you plan on vegging the plants for a while. If you're doing the quick grows and vegging for only 4wks or so then you could get by with 3gal buckets.

I personally will only grow with organic medium, soil is my preferred choice, although I've dabbled with hydroponics and aeroponics. I just feel it's much easier with soil bc you don't have to constantly adjust for PH and other reasons. I also only use organic nutrients. The taste and quality and cleanness/smoothness of the smoke can be differentiated between organic nutes and synthetic ones. I'll get some bat and seabird guano and use those.

The nutrient damage was from the medical dispensary that I got from. My wife and I have been using ......tap water. I know we need to not use it. We've been so busy lately. Lights are LED but not even close to your strength. So much to learn..... Have feed any nutrients yet... Used organic soil from Home Depot.

I think for this first attempt we are gonna not use tap water and let it ride to see what happens....is that a mistake?

The reason why I didn't go with 5gal buckets was because of limited growing space. I was afraid plants will out grow greenhouse.

We will do Next round correctly. We got over our head. We should have learned more before starting....newbie mistake.
