My boy used to grow and knows his shit but I've been looking into LED because I see they've come a long way and growing in a one bed apartment is too risky with HPS lighting ..
I didn't know about helping the depth of penetration by cutting the plant at different points ..
I'd like to grow 5lbs every three months if that's possible with LEDs

I smoke Honey 80% clean no butane and I make oil for vape pens with PG very smooth and easy and safe ..
But my girl is old school Blunt rolling her dry ..
She won't switch ..
She takes hits of my GPen and vapes but I think it's the blunt paper smoke she really likes most ..
I tried the little shit cartridges from dispensaries and $45 for .5ml is rediculous ..
It cost me $40 to make
2 vape pens with half gram honey in each one with both having 1.2-1.4ml in them .. including the pens from EBay.
And they are strong and last 5-7 days easy hitting it generously ..

5lbs sounds like a lot. I think anything is possible with LEDs, but it I am not sure. I do know that LEDs isn't as hot in terms of temp and runs on little electricity. Very high efficient. Next home project is to replace as many bulbs with LEDs as possible which will lower electricity bill and light will be "cleaner".
Haha. This is first time that she didn't complain about me not getting her a card or flowers. I know now the way to her heart.
Are the cartridges that you make are for the vape pens that gets charged by USB port?

Yes just like any cell phone .. I can charge in the car or from the wall ..
1,100mah last a long time too..
I just ordered 7 more full pens with batteries for $6/each on eBay and these are coming from Texas .. I think Texas but USA either way ..
I can get them for $4 from China but wait longer..
They cost $18-20 in stores
like 7-11..
I like to give the pen free so I rather buy online ..
Cool. I used to have one of those but got rid of it because I didn't want to pay $40 for refill cartridges.

I think a sickness is trying to get me but my immune is fighting it ..
It happens a lot and just makes me tired ...
Well the vape pen gets me stoned but still tired and I just hit the GPen and O Yea this 80% is no joke ..
I can fully function even when I'm out of this world stoned and I mean CNC Machining functioning and this 80% gives me energy through focus ...
It's like being so relaxed from a xanax but with the energy of cocaine ...
THC being the only drug I can forget to do and not even remember I wanted to do it for hours, is in my opinion the greatest drug in the history of all drugs now and forever ...

Got our new grow tent set up. Which sucks to do since my wife and I are both short. The trick was to build the frame first , then "wrap" with enclosure rather than trying to build from inside out.
Our plants looks so small in new tent...which is good because lots of room to continue growing.
I need to get a pulley system to lower and raise lights.
Should we transfer to 5gal buckets? Or just leave as is in 3.5 gal buckets?

I'd go to 5gal.
Get those lights lower. They're looking kind of stringy. Keeping a higher light intensity will keep a shorter node distance on them.

you want the light as close as possible. LED should let you get real close. heat determines the distance away from plants. I use to remember what you needed to get the plant to look like snow fell on your girls. I believe it is LED light with red 660nm, I maybe wrong, do your research. I believe red 660nm is the wrong color of red and the plant will go into defense mode and produce trichomes all over the plant looking like snow. you shouldn't do this until after flowering.
