Marijuana [Cannabis]

Tomorrow is cloning day. I just picked up some nutrients finally and a clone kit. I now should have enough nutrients for the rest of my growing life. Everything cost $140. Would've been cheaper if I brought cash.

Thanks @HuckingFuge for nutrients suggestion. The place I went to also recommended it and was on sale.

Good product choices. Definitely buy the little jar of clonex for the next one. As long as you just pour a little out, and don't contaminate it, that shit will last you forever. Don't even fuck with the powder, that's really only useful for woody plants. The rooting plugs can be bought much cheaper than the kits, and the trays are reusable. But sanitize them down first, peroxide is good. Very little light for the clones, one blue cfl about a foot above for the whole tray, or the dimmest corner of your veg space. Plenty of good tutorials though, I'm sure you've found one by now.

AN grows good plants, if you follow the system. I was always a cheap skate though. Prefer living soil, but there's definitely convenience factor in pre packaged systems. Especially if you aren't working a profit margin with things.

I missed talking weed, lol. Glad I finally wandered into this thread.

At first I was hesitant on spending $60 per gallon on AN's Iguana Organic Grow and Bloom Juice, but the guy at the hydro supply store said that it will be enough for MANY cycles and he said AN's Iguana Organic line is what the medical marijuana growers uses with GREAT success and it was on sale.

The Root Riot Clone kit comes with Clonex (and I have another bottle for future use). The root plugs comes pre-moistened with Formulex Nutrient solution. The kit was $25....slightly expensive lol. I'll reuse kit and save whatever plugs in a zip lock baggie and purchase new rooting plugs. Great idea, thanks. This kit also works with seeds.

We will use smaller tent for harvesting the clones. Currently we don't have a CFL light which is also what the dude at Hydro supply store recommend (out of stock), but I'll order one off Amazon.

I am glad you are finding some pleasure from my growing journey. You have played a major role as well as few other members here on educating me.

Yeah,no master by any means but we've been running long enough we got it down pretty good, and access to a master grower if needed.but first time doing a single strain (Bruce Banner#3)run under led only, excited to see how it goes.

Nice. My wife and I are enjoying the experience even though we don't always agree. I've heard Bruce Banner is an excellent strain. There's so many out there with some ridiculously funny names. We have 2 cherry pies and 2 original og that we got as starter plants.

The medical dispensary sells seeds, but expensive ($10 per seed). That's too expensive of a risk for me. I'd rather pay $20 for starter plants.

Gonna start topping and cloneing in few hours. Just doing some last minute research to ensure that I'll do it correctly.

I am nervous, but should work out fine......

Gonna trim here to top it.

Thank you. To be honest, so far it's been easy except for the out of pocket expense , but I am sure it will be worth it once we never have to pay for weed again....gosh, I like the sound of that.

Clone project completed. Took me 3 hrs to clone, trim and top off plants. This was something that I should've done couple weeks ago...(lesson learned).

I can't remember how many clones I got my I filled up almost 3/4 of 50 available spot. We'll keep best ones and sell rest to medical dispencery. Clones are setting on clone warming mat next to window until new Sun Blaze fluorescent 24" light arrives tonight....then it's going into smaller tent. Smaller tent will be clone and veg tent while larger one will be for flowering or something like that.

I hope I didn't trim too much....time will tell.......

Are you going to make a mother plant?

I'd go to 5gal.

Get those lights lower. They're looking kind of stringy. Keeping a higher light intensity will keep a shorter node distance on them.

Do you know anything about mother plants? I was curious to know when to determine what mother plant to chose from, out of the multiple plants? Also how would you keep a mother plant for life or many years? Would you not make it bud, and keep it at a certain stage?

You just keep it in the vegetative state, on 18/6, or 24 hour lighting.

Keep clones of all your first flowering run, carefully labeled. After harvesting, pick your favorite, for whatever criteria. Grow that clone out to a bush, then keep cloning all your flowering runs off that bushy mother plant.

I am helping a friend. We just bought the seeds. Going to plant them soon. Doing them indoor. Thanks for the help. A mother plant is the beez kneez.

Wish I had this info or google when i was 19 trying to grow. It was a complete disaster and wasted money. Oh and LE kicked in the door beside mine cuz they were growing as well lol A stressful experience all around
Same here. Went by a lot of trial and error or knowledge that some would give out. I grew my first plants at 15.Took awhile to learn enough to have decent chron. I played Johnny Mary seed a lot out in secluded areas and next to train tracks. Had shit everywhere.
I had a gnarly bush out in my old circle driveway one year and my dad started getting freaked out. Made me cut it down, I begged him to let me keep it out there longer. I gave him half after I dried it and he said " yeah , should've listened to you" It got you high but tasted preemy. He never told me when to cut after that.
I did a few small runs indoor but did most of mine outside. I haven't grown in 12 years.
