Are you going to make a mother plant?
You just keep it in the vegetative state, on 18/6, or 24 hour lighting.
Keep clones of all your first flowering run, carefully labeled. After harvesting, pick your favorite, for whatever criteria. Grow that clone out to a bush, then keep cloning all your flowering runs off that bushy mother plant.
Not if you want it to stay a mother.I plan on keeping 1 of each strain as mother
So you should never flower motherplant?
Not if you want it to stay a mother.
If you're going to retire the strain, then flower the big bitch out and chop her. These are perennial plants. The flowering is the end of their life cycle. You can revive them once flowered, but it's tricky, and highly stressful to the plant. Like bringing them back in ICU, resuscitation shit.
View attachment 35928 View attachment 35929 Heres my latest harvest , in celebration of Oregons new pot law . About a half pound , dried & cured . Its a Aurora Kush/F1 hybred Ive been growing for the last year. I also grow a OG Kushberry .
I harvest every 3-4 weeks...
These were grown 4-5 weeks under T-5 lights then flowered 7-8 weeks @12/12 with 1000w HPS . Its a high energy pot and you"ll want to work-out on it , in the evening you fall right asleep on it....after you eat a whole box of Poptarts....lol ~Ogh
Thank you. You just saved me much troubles, headache and potentially destroying my plants.
I owe you a fat baggie ........
Wow, that looks beautiful. Good work my friend. Hopefully I'll have some buds soon.
You must be a busy man. Gotta love the marijuana laws.
Basically what Dballin and HuckingFuge said. I wouldn't throw them out bc they're not too far gone by any means.
Clones and seedlings don't need much light at all and even less nutes. I don't even give them nutes until they've seated their roots properly.
A good rough estimate if it's due to heat from your lights, assuming ambient temps are ok, is you should be able to place your hand just above the upper level leaves on the plant and not get your hand burned. If it's too hot for your hand it's too hot for the youngins. Either reduce the total light output, improve circulation, or move the lights further away from the plants.
I read most of what you are doing. The last 10 pages or so. I forgot what light spectrum/watt light are you using for your starter plants when you first got them. What were they again? Are you using the same light on your clones?
Is bat guana powder good. I heard that liquid is better abosrobed form the plants. Have you ever used bat guano powder? That is what I have.
Heres my latest girls , 2 weeks into flowering , 6 weeks to go. Im a little late in rotation with this group but Im going to get caught up .The object is to harvest 8-10 oz dried/manicured View attachment 35938 every 3-4 weeks . Thats a little over state-legal , but not by much .

The nutrient damage was from the medical dispensary that I got from. My wife and I have been using ......tap water. I know we need to not use it. We've been so busy lately. Lights are LED but not even close to your strength. So much to learn..... Have feed any nutrients yet... Used organic soil from Home Depot.
I think for this first attempt we are gonna not use tap water and let it ride to see what happens....is that a mistake?
The reason why I didn't go with 5gal buckets was because of limited growing space. I was afraid plants will out grow greenhouse.
We will do Next round correctly. We got over our head. We should have learned more before starting....newbie mistake.
Interesting. I use a couple different transdermal formulas sometimes (for curcumin and resveratrol) and I had always been curious about how effective transdermal delivery would be for cannabis. My wife has been suffering from neck/shoulder pain that's causing her to wake up almost every morning with a headache. She's been going to accupunture and it's helping. She's also tried nacotic pain killers which takes the edge off, but leaves her with an unpleasant feeling. She's tried OTC pain relievers which helps a little.
Then last weekend I got her lotion that's infused with cannabis. From there website "The organic menthol crystals combined with medicated emu oil delivers the medication deep and straight where you need it for almost instant pain relief". She was pain free after 1 application. I am gonna try some for my lower back as its hurting from my last deadlift session.

Does she feel the effects systemically, or just locally? I wonder about using that for the tension knots in my upper back/traps.
Please keep me/us posted. I definitely have a lot of love for the THC, but if I can get some relief at work without psychoactivity, then that would be titillating. It's non psychoactive and effects are local. I think it would work wonders for tension knots. I'll try on my lower back tonight. Base of my spine feels major pain right now. I can't even put my pants on without sitting down as I can't bend forward. I will be a believer if it reduces/eliminates my pain. Not that I don't trust my wife, but I have to try for myself.
Any picture updates???I plan on keeping 1 of each strain as mother
