i did these since my old gym didnt have a hack squat machine, and the are friggin BRUTAL. especially on your upperback

Coach said take it easy this week for starting his programming next week. So I'm just doing some light doubles with 500lbs. Thought I'd see where my grip was at just for fun. No David Troutt, but not bad considering I don't train grip ever.

Im working on my hook grip, slowly starting to desensitize, can hook grip 315 for a few and I've done 365 once. My max with straps is only 420 for 1

i really want to convert to hook, i just cant bare to do it yet. ive been doing it in my wam ups up to about 405 and switched back to mixed after. i need to just man up and work on it. it feel so unnatural to me
I don't think I'll be converting anytime soon. Just wanted to see where my strength was with it. I think I could pull mid 500's hook grip. It'd look pretty sweet at a meet to just casually hook grip 600+ though.
