Intensity is what determines the training affect and volume is what determines the magnitude of that effect.

Untested federations are generally known to be untested. Tested feds don't test everyone. The board will have your name, the weight, and lights only, but a trophy or record certificate might say something like "Lifetime drug free". If you lift in IPF or AAU, every lifter will assume you're tested. Other feds they'll assume you aren't. Everyone else will assume you're on, tested or not.

Starting strength is a fundamental concept of athletic training. A book using the term as it's title is an attempt to hoodwink the easily confused.

Intensity on its own won't do anything substantial without training volume being used as the primary stress source in a workout. Anyone familiar with soviet research knows this to be true. Neglecting volume as a training variable is absurd and counter-productive.
More training volume > faster progress (assuming fatigue and recovery are managed).
Calling that explanation bs implies intensity in and of itself can be used absent any other training variable to drive progress...ridiculous.
I have a question for anyone that's competed untested. Does it show right on the board at the meet that you're untested? I know it could vary meet-to-meet and last year at the meet it didn't say that next to anyone's name and there were guys clearly on gear. I'm hoping it will just show it on the meet results they post online later. The reason I'm asking is some of my family decided last minute they're coming up to watch and this could cause some problems for me as I work for them.

In RPS they don't list on the screen whether you're tested or not.
How to be a powerlifter?
@RodgerThat, the gym bag part had me thinking about you (no homo).
He did forget to take a poptart break though.
Best Dom video yet! And great @Perrin Aybara making me go spend money now! I could probably even fit most of my yoga gear in that too with my gym gear and my battle ropes and MIR weighted vest (ya found my old circuit training equipment) but does t have wheels cause I'm strong but not strong enough to carry everything at once
It doesn't appear to and I'm doubtful that woman is going to be able to do much with it.
Would definitely bring the lulz lugging that into the gym. brb hopping into my bag to change into my gym clothes.
This got me thinking about the old Pimp my Ride show. Would've been epic to pimp a truck for a powerlifter. Have the bed raise up to reveal all kinds of specialty bars, toolboxes down the sides full of lifting gear, mini fridge in the cab for post workout shakes, etc. Sick mural on the side with Greek gods doing the powerlifts on Mount Olympus.
Great now looks like I'll be dropping around 20g to customize my truck too! Gotta stop man your going to make me need to take out a loan on myself or sell a kidney!
Thanks, doc. I've been a little paranoid since I found out my family was coming out. Not the same fed, but I bet they do things the same at mine.
I've lifted in a lot of different feds and none have ever listed tested or untested on any boards. If the fed has tested and untested divisions they will likely just list what division you are entered in. Amateur= tested (usually just the ability to test with very few guys actually getting tested) Pro= untested.
You will be fine. There is not going to be anything publicly posted or announced at a meet to indicate you are "on".
Thanks, MP. For a number of reasons it just wouldn't be good for my family to find that out right now.
I hear you my friend. I think most meet directors are pretty conscious of the fact that no matter what division you are in most guys aren't looking to outwardly advertise use of illegal substances for any number of reasons.
