Nova's First Anavar Cycle Log

I'm right handed, right arm is bigger and stronger, right pec however is stronger then left but smaller. Same for my quads.

Left leg is weaker but bigger then right.

I must be all fucked up in my posture or something. The worse is the pec by the way. I can clearly tell that the left one is much more developed then the right one. I don't use barebell, only dumbbell so can't do much more then keeping training it and hope it will get better with time.

Sorry for the hijack.

Being right handed, your left side could still be larger, although unusual. Nonetheless, they appear much more symmetrical now, which is a good thing.

Weird I have the same problem, left leg bigger leaner and weaker lol. Also I'm right handed right arm bigger by 1/4 inch but left bicep has much better peak

Day 65 (September 14th, 2016)
A friend invited me to do a WOD at his CrossFit affiliate. Ohhhh boy!!! It was a wakeup call! It reminded me that I’m not as strong as I thought I was. I loved it. It lit a fire under my ass and reminded me that I have [a lot] more training to do.

CrossFit workout:
Lift: Deadlift
-5 reps at 125 lbs
-4 reps at 145 lbs
-3 reps at 195 lbs
-2 reps at 215 lbs

My weight-lifting belt doesn’t fit anymore because my hips are not as narrow as before. I’m not complaining but I would hate to purchase another belt.

WOD:
3 Rounds at 100% Effort
-Row 250m
-10 KB swings at 45 lbs
-10 Burpees
-10 KB swings at 45 lbs
-10 Burpees
-10 KB swings at 45 lbs
-Row 250m

*Rest 8 minutes between rounds

Results:
Round 1 = 5:23
Round 2 = 6:09
Round 3 = 6:23

This WOD looks easier on paper. I wanted to throw up a couple of times but I held it together.

Record total repetitions between two AMRAPs: 153 reps (I didn’t get many reps from the 2nd AMRAP because I ripped from the C2B in the 1st AMRAP and I didn’t want to bleed all over the barbell).

Day 73 (September 23rd, 2016)
Rest Day

  • I’ll try to get some photos posted tomorrow. Sorry for lagging.

Day 74 (September 23rd, 2016)
I planned to do a light workout at Globo Gym today my knee flared up.. again! :(
I tried to do back squats and it hurt when I tried back squatting 135 lbs. I’m finally going to stop pushing it and give it a rest for a few weeks. It sucks.
I decided to do 2 rounds of 12 reps of dumbbell arm curls with 20 lbs.

Day 75 & 76 (September 24th- 25th, 2016)
Rest Day on day 75.

On day 76 I did 50 GHD sit-ups and I did ROMWOD (stands for Range Of Motion Workout Of the Day) for the first time. I wasn’t really good at it but I liked it. I need ROMWOD because increased range of motion leads to better position and recovery in all weightlifting.

Day 77 (September 26th, 2016)
It’s been 6 days since I’ve ended my cycle. I feel perfectly fine. The acne on my hamstrings are pretty much gone and less hair follicles are falling out (but no one noticed). I’ve decided to go on a VERY STRICT diet in hopes of getting a more defined physique. I will keep working out but I need to give my lower body time to rest and recover due to my knee pain.

Globo Gym workout:
Lift: Strict Press
-Warmup w/ bar (45 lbs)
-1 set x 5 reps @ 55 lbs
-1 set x 5 reps @ 60 lbs
-1 set x 3 reps @ 80 lbs
-1 set x 1 rep @ 90 lbs (suicide grip)
-1 set x 1 rep @ 95 lbs (suicide grip)
-1 set x 1 rep attempt at 105 lbs … Failed.

Then I did an ab workout but I don’t know what it’s called, so I’ll describe it.
Knee raises from dip bars and I have a dumbbell in between my feet.
-Warmup with no weight (8 reps)
-1 set x 15 reps @ 10 lbs
-1 set x 15 reps @ 15 lbs
-1 set x 15 reps @ 20 lbs

I’m skipping the CrossFit workout tonight because the WOD involves front squats. My knee can’t hang with that. Instead, I’m going to visit a different CrossFit affiliate and test out their prowler for fun. I’ll most likely end up doing pull-ups, deadlifts and ride their assault bike for fun too.

Oh.. and Viola! Pictures are below!! Again, I apologize for lagging with them.
Attention: I lift for fun. I am not a body builder nor do I compete in body building competitions!

I will continue to update this log for a few more weeks. I want to share my experience after my cycle ended.

Shoulders and arms are looking chiseled!

Enjoy taking that week or two off. It's well deserved. ;) You have busted your ass your entire cycle and now your body is giving you signs that it needs a little break.

I took a week off shortly after my first Anavar cycle. I ate a ton and got a deep-tissue massage. I felt like a million bucks when I was back at the gym. My joints didn't ache anymore and I felt strong!

Looking forward to your post cycle update.

I practiced the snatch yesterday and gain a 25 lb increase. I went up from 65 lbs to 90 lbs. Coach told me I could have done more but my knee was "tapping on my shoulder, reminding me of the discomfort." I didn't want to push it.

Great example on how to prepare for a cycle and post results and experiences during it as well.

You can definitely see your progress from start to finish with the ending result looking very well.

Your back side is impressive from your shoulders down to your butt.

Thanks again for your contribution to this board.
