Obama - the failed president

The reason there arnt more participating in the thread is because its pointless @tenpoundsleft. You just hate obama. You never give any examples of his policy or particular executive orders because you dont know of any.

All you know is he is bad and thats good enough for you. You blame liberals and democrats of being narrow minded and devisive. All of your political threads come off being what you blame others for doing.

Pretty hilarious.

That you post in this thread about Obama, only to rile against me is what is hilarious.

If I were to list all the executives orders that Obama resorted to instead of doing the Constitutionally required thing (working with Congress) then you'd say you can't be bothered reading it.

@ronin17

here's a sample for you

"Barack Obama has spent years using his authoritative pen to sign executive orders into law because Congress constantly prevented him from approving his particular set of rules. To date, Obama has singed 235 executive orders dealing with every issue from climate change to national security.

The interesting thing about executive orders is that they are built on faulty foundations. They are more theoretical than factual. An executive order can be ripped out from under itself just as quickly as it was signed.

On day one of his presidency, Donald Trump will be able to shred and dispose of any executive order that Obama signed into law, making them 100 percent invalid.

Here is a list of orders we can expect to see Trump handle immediately:

Climate change- The Paris Agreement, EPA regulations, Clean Power Plan

Trade- North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Negotiations

Health Care- Any order that supports Obamacare (a program that Congress has to repeal)

Immigration- Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA)

National Security- Ensuring Lawful Interrogations, Iran Sanctions

You can also expect to see any miscellaneous regulations involving the economy, gun sales, and technology restrictions to be abolished.

Needless to say, the Obama administration, which was built on a faulty executive overreach foundation, will quickly come crashing down."

From: The List of Executive Orders that Trump Will Dispose of Immediately

There is plenty more to undo as well - we haven't even talked about his administration's abuse of agencies - his way of trying to rule by regulation, which is even more appalling.

To sum it up : Obama is a disaster as a president not because he used executive orders, those have a legitimate purpose, but because that's the only tool he's used. If you can grasp the distinction. I'd levy that critique against any flavor POTUS.

There's a lot of insipid yammering on this site about Trump
By the morons who helped him become pres.

I can agree to an extent in that the Republican party tied his hands throughout the last 6 years of his Presidency. What you are seeing is the work of the Republican congress, henceforth referred to by me as the "Orange party".

Obama spent his presidency saving the economy and getting out of wars Bush took us into. He added 16 million jobs and took the stock market from 7000 to 19000, and he killed Bin Laden. What the fuck are you being a bitch for.

Lets see how the "Orangeman" does. This will keep SNL in material for 4 years, and that is great as long as he doesn't really fuck up and nuke Russia because Putin says he no longer enjoys Trumps oral skills.

Trump is on you asshole.

Yeah, 16 million mostly low paying or part time jobs. The problem is most of those jobs need either government assistance or a second job, so about 8 million people have those 16 million jobs.
Of course the stock market went up, a lot of profit and growth with low wages and jobs going to 3rd world countries. The stock market pretty much always goes up in an 8yr period.

You're a sweetheart!

"If I can grasp the distinction?" Yes, you are so well versed and intelligent @tenpoundsleft . Ill try to keep up with your superior intellect. Lol.

Why do you think he had to use so many executive orders? Maybe because the republicans refused to support him or work with him maybe?

What did mitch McConnell say before obama was sworn in? He was going to do everything to block obama and make him a one term president? How can you work with people who have that attitude? Talk about sour losers and crybabys.

From day one the republicans made everything nearly impossible. Is that the kind if democracy you want? What happened to bipartisan cooperation?

I dont like obama but how he has been disrespected by the republicans and many Americans is shameful. No president has ever had to put up with the disrespect and attacks that he has.

As much as I didnt like Bush he was still my president and I respected him for it.

Why should it be different for obama?
Seriously. Why should it be different??

Its cute you think trump is going to do anything good for anyone other than himself and his cronies. You probably think his secretary of state is a good pick dont you? Successful business man right?

You probably think he is going to build a wall too! Are you critical of anything Trump has done??

Do you have the ability to be objective about trump and the republicans? Everything I have seen you post says no.

This thread is even more proof that you are blinded by ideology.

News flash @ronin17 , it wasn't just republicans that refused Obama support. Do you have any idea how many Democratic refugees there are? I voted for Obama for his first term and so did my mom, brother, etc. Not one of is voted for him again and after 8 years he went out and campaigned for HRC and told the world what was at stake this election..."his legacy, his policies." The American people answered by ousting the democratic party whose held power for over a decade. Republicans have the majority of all major political offices now and by a great margin.

You are the minority @ronin17 . America chose. Deal with it

Do you have any idea how much damage the DNC has caused our country by creating all this controversy regarding Trump instead of losing with dignity? I was a democrat once and not long ago. Now, i want nothing to do with them and i call no party mine.

This country looks like its in turmoil. We look weak amd disorganized to everyone all over the world. All that was created by the DNC political crazies whod rather see our nation collapse and be right, than look across party lines and try to work as a single entity.

You talk about republicans not supporting Obama and at the same time defend the party thats done more damage in the past 6 months than either party combined. Get real man

that's what the Democrats do. They don't get their way and they rally the world against America. They voted to go into war with Iraq and then jumped back once it got going and rallied the world against the US. It's disgusting it's anti American.

We're talking about Obama here, stay on topic. There's a Trump thread where you can bitch freely.

Since you seem wet behind the ears you probably don't recall what Reagan had to work with (both houses of Congress run solidly by Dems, with hardball Tip O'Neill in charge as Speaker, and the identical media hatred toward him as Trump has), yet, Reagan managed to work with Congress to overhaul the tax code, to end the Cold War, and to set the foundation for the boom in the 90s.

Obama is just too high and mighty to do anything other than executive orders. He couldn't even work with his own party during his first 2 years in office, when Dems controlled both House and Senate. He's just an incompetent and lawless President.

Speaking of which, the always classless Big 0 today - one f-ing week away from Trump's Inaugural - decides to fuck with our Cuba policy...

News from The Associated Press

You have to wake up earlier in the morning, do some homework if you want to avoid a bloody nose here.

And help bring us "crack"....although not intentionally;)

Don't know who for sure. Maybe everyone. Iran or any of the other countries that have been testing us. I don't believe trump will put up with it and he will most likely retaliate ×10.

This statement is 100% true but only if Hillary had been elected ;).

I dunno, he seems to be pulling a reverse Nixon, and refocusing on China. It could be a bluff to gain bargaining power, but it sure doesn't look that way. If not a real war, a new cold war looks very possible.

Something I don't see talked about much is the China - Pakistan economic corridor. As a result of that (now complete) project, China is pumping billions into Pakistan as well as troops to protect the corridor from adjacent India. China has become a real threat to US economic hegemony, and Pakistan is no longer beholden to the US.

Trump clearly isn't following the anti-Russian neocons on the left or right, but I'm still wondering who's giving him advice on China.

Id be more worried about the war our own country has declared against itself. Its much more likely at this point that if there's a war, itll be because the president the American people voted in is being conspired against to be impeached or replaced by any means necessary.

I believe China has been a threat for a long time...How much of our debt. does it hold?

A this point I'm fine with him poking at China. China has had a free pass and has taken advantage of the United States for far too long. It will be interesting to see where this goes though that's for sure.
