Odie's First Log

Better safe than sorry man. I would keep that to yourself. just my 2 cents.

Ive reviewed the video a dozen time I don't think it shows enough to get me in trouble. I was more asking if y'all really even wanted to see a video of me in just street clothes totally cold on BP. I'll probably say fuck it and post it when I get back from lunch just because I said I would post a video multiple times the last few days. Even my voice is distorted with that much weight so I feel comfortable, KINDA.

I gotta pop my cherry sometime, since I wanna post a few more videos through out this thread. Just a little nervous. I already got bashed for my diet and now I'll get bashed for my form. lol

Odie--Not only that but I always "right-click" ALL my photos (Search Google for this image) to make sur that pic is not in my Facebook or somewhere else that could easily indentify yourself .

I took down most of the pics I had in "Media" here because some of them led back to my Facebook . Cant be too careful , theres lots of nuts out there , right Alex ?? ;)

Several good points made in my opinion ! That's why I stress the importance of protein. Most times, you can gain enough fat from your natural protein options. With the exception of cutting, your body will tell you what you need. I have never been a believer in no carbs after 6 pm. What if you don't work out until 8 pm? Your body is going to utilize it with the addition of PED, they speed up protein synthesis. On my off days when I am trying to add lean mass, I will virtually eat like all day long. Protein sources ! a piece of chicken breast here, a package of tuna there, some tilapia or orange ruffy, SEVERAL protein shakes thru the day. I agree with the guys that are saying 2g/per # BW. It be a little over, but what your body doesn't synthesize/utilize is excreted in a means of waste. So, if you are taking in more than what you need, you know you have your bases covered. Sometimes, protein WILL constipate you. It can also be a little taxing on your kidneys, but I assume it is common sense to drink LOTS of water while on cycle anyway to keep them flushed.

My general rule of thumb when NOT cutting, I eat clean protein until I have to use the restroom. It will actually become a cycle once your metabolism gets in sync with you. ALso, I would say to keep as routine as schedule as you can. They body can sense when something changes, and goes into a "self protect mode." It will actually hold onto food you have eaten, and break the synthesis cycle. (bowel abnormality)

as stated, these are just my opinions and what I have logged in real life.

Hope this helps Odie.

If you take more protein than you need it will not be excreted as waste. There are other metabolic pathways it follows besides being stored as protein.

@OdieM I'd say that your form is solid man!! Especially for not being a power lifter or anything...kept your head down, touched your chest but didn't let it bounce...and I like your kinda closer grip you got going on there!
My only critque is maybe keep that booty down! ;) hahaha!

Also I think it's awesome you had the guts to post a video! Not sure if I ever will Lol but I'd like to post a lifting video in the future, we'll see!

Damn dude, was you just on your way out the door??!! Or just walking in??

Fucking STRONG!!

Just walked in. I saw a bro with 315 on there and added 2 45s and said lets get it. I clearly told the guy not to touch it and he did anyway. You can barely hear me tell him in the video. Anyway I think I could of got 4 if I was warmed up and streched

ughhh I hate spotters at conventional gyms for the most part. Usually because I don't really like to ask a random dude to spot me while I'm squatting Lol and partially because they always grab too early!! That's why I like those olympic bumper plates especially for squatting because you can bail out...

You totally had that third rep though, and definitely a fourth if you warmed up for sure!

Thanks yeah I was very nervous about posting it. I will post more for sure when i get stronger.

Yeah I keep my upper body where it needs to be but i push off my legs to get up that kinda weight

Odies getting closer and closer to revealing his whole self to us !! (Alex grins...)

In my intro i told y'all that i was allowing y'all to see into my life. I meant it. lol Man I wish we could just be the real us on here.

If it makes you feel any better it's almost like the video quality blurred your face for you lol.
Yeah I've been reviewing it since yesterday evening. I was very scared posting it because it does show my face but its perfectly blurred out

A couple pointers on the bench form:

1) Before you had is unracked, your feet and ass should be planted to the bench and not move at all. If your legs move at any point you're not tight enough and you lose leg drive on the bench bc of a weakened kinetic chain. Plant your feet from the jump and they shouldn't move throughout the entire set.

2) once you get your setup down and locked in, have the spotter unrack the bar for you. All you should do is use your lats to pull it above your chest. You shouldn't unrack the bar for max effort or close to max effort bench presses bc you lose your tightness in the upper back.

3) try moving your grip a hair closer, bring the bar down just below the nipples, and don't flare your elbows out so much. Keep them tucked in close to your sides.

Other than that.... FUCK BAD SPOTTERS
