Me and you are two different people. Her family should appreciate you. If it was me here I would knock her up to piss her family off if they tried to give me a hard time about it.Let me put it this way, if the two of you are comfortable together, then whatever happens happens.
Back in 2015, I left my wife and a coworker/friend (female) gave me a place to stay for a couple of years. When I first met that coworker, she had a 15 year old daughter. From day one, I could tell that her daughter was going to grow into a beautiful, hot woman. At 17 and just before she graduated high school, I took her (daughter) and 2 of her friends to get their nails done. I paid for hers as a graduation gift. After the salon, we decided to have lunch at her favorite restaurant. There I was, a 52 year old man with 3 teen girls. Instantly, I felt weird because every woman in that restaurant gave me a dirty look while guys were giving me thumbs up. Somehow, one of her friends and I noticed it and we decided to leave there. I figured that some thought that that I was either a perv or a pimp. Despite our funny adventure, my friend's daughter and I remained friends. We even stayed at the house alone when her mom decided to live with her boyfriend at the time. And nothing ever happened between us.
Fast forward 10 years later (2023), I noticed a pic of an awesome looking meal on the daughter's Facebook post and I complimented how good it looked. As a reply, she suggested that we go to that restaurant for lunch one day. I was in shock. Here a 27 year old hottie suggested that a 62 year old friend of her mom take her to lunch and "whatever happens happens:".
Like you, dude, my major concern is our age difference, as well as her family's reactions if something was to get deeper between us.
