Over 40 - AAS /TRT resource

Thanks for that info. I do intermittent fasting almost every day as well for the huge health benefits. I have had zero difficulty putting on lean mass and keeping gains while just doing trt cruise at 200. Probably not putting on mass like a guy in his 20’s but it's still noticeable to me. I’m thinking of taking some good carbs immediately before and after my workouts to see if that kicks things up a notch. Keto goes against everything we’ve had forced down our throats since we were kids so it’s hard for some to get their heads around it. Thank you very much for that Tren info.
Very hard to eat low carb/keto on tren. Cravings are magnified. Often I'd go downstairs at night and raid the kitchen. I don't do that off tren. :-)

I’m thinking about calling and seeing what test runs to try get onto trt
If you're talking about B.L.MD in Maple Grove, the Test was the easy part...Medica covered it when she called in the RX to my pharmacy. If you use their compounding pharmacy T runs about 200/mo. The hardest part was the $800 or so for initial bloods and urine and first consult. Granted, the labs were the most comprehensive and you'll never get that through your regular MD. Every 5 mos you are required to pay them to get labs done and after each lab you have to pay for another consult...I think it's about $600 total every 5 mos, in order to get refills. For me, when the wife quit working to stay home with the kids I couldn't justify the extra cost. So here I am.

Yeah I wonder if 326 would be considered for them to do trt.

I think for them, and most of those places, you'll have no problem. They want your business. I was 44 when I went there the first time with my test at 290...I had all the symptoms of low T (also used all the right buzzwords) and got the scrip easy. She wanted me in the 700-900 range. She had me on 200 mg/wk.

What kind of test did she have you on and how frequently your injections? twice a week?

200 mg test cyp. Self injection twice a week. I spaced it out every 3.5 days.
She also prescribed Arimidex and i think i was taking .25mg eod. Lots of guys here only take it if they start showing sides and many ppl say AI not so critical under 500mg/week so probably better to go off your own bloods since we’re all different and different ages. Older guys have higher e2 in general as well.

Personally taking lab test each 2 week i have seen that with just 125mg week my e2 arrive @ 90pg/ml if i don't take ai. Is absolute subjective.
People look only at visible sides (water retention or gynecomastia) must take lab and keep e2 in range or just few out max limit.

I'm out in the middle of nowhere--so if trying to do a TRT clinic, it would have been with local blood draws and consult over the phone, etc. I literally just asked my primary care doc to test me when I had an annual physical and it went from there. Nice thing is my insurance covers most the expense. I have a co-pay for visits, but I get a free annual physical and bloods, so my original primary care and then gent I have seen the past year+ only do labs now 1x a year. You will need more obviously when you first start so they can confirm the dosage is working correctly for you and address and E2 issue that may arise. But once you are settled in, its a pretty easy ride. Name brand (well Watson/Activis, so guess really generic) test C runs me $20 per 10ml bottle. The one time I had the pharmacy order me Pfizer it was more expensive. Before running to an expensive trt clinic that only accepts private pay, it would be worth taking up the issue with your doc if you have insurance.

Glad to be a new Meso member.
Im 59 and been working out hard for the past several years. I'm 6'1 190pds all around good health. I felt no improvement in workouts and libido was low. Dr put me on testosterone 80mg a week 4 months ago. Two months ago I upped it to a 100mg wk and went on a cycle of proviron. Feel stronger, libido improved and made gains.
Took blood Few days ago Testosterone, Total454
Estradiol 39 pg/mL
All other bloods are in normal range.
Is there anything more or less I could be doing ?
Thanks

It takes awhile to dial things in to get to a point where you feel optimal. 4mo is very early into the treatment.
Bloods are a good reference but where someone might feel good at 454ng/dl, personally I feel best at 800ng/dl and Free test at 30-31. Then there estradiol to control. Everyone aromatizes and has a different response to high or low estrogen. Figure out how you respond.
If you there is anything “more or less” you could be doing, that is first get your HRT dialed in so you know exactly what dose of TRT meds makes you feel and run best.
Then if you are into training and doing your homework here at MESO, you will probably be entertaining the idea of experimenting safely with other PEDS.
TRT was definitely my gateway drug.

Until I came here, I had no idea how little I knew and how much I could learn. I pounded through many many threads for weeks. It takes a while to sort through pages of bullshit to get to some good information at times but the good info is here. Also keep in mind that there are those here that are quick to give advice on putting shit into your body, yet don’t know what paying taxes means. But there are also many great guys with time and experience to learn from.

48 and been training since I was a clueless teenager that knew it all. Currently at a comfortable 210 lbs. at 12% BF. I'd like to put on another 10 lbs. and run another cycle next spring. I felt amazing on the Test and Mast.

Ran many money wasting oral prohormone cycles over the years. Stopped that garbage a few years ago. Ran my first Test E/ Mast E cycle in August. In PCT now. Went really well. Except...

I learned that my body, my hormones, are not receptive to specific compounds. I tried all the below with side effects that I just couldn't tolerate. Is it age related I wonder? As everyone else seems to be just fine.

Tbol, Dbol, Anavar all made me- nauseous, dizzy, and lethargic as hell coupled with a strange feeling of anxiety. I'm a very see the glass half full kind of person so that was a shocker. Tried starting at super low doses, then going up and it wasn't any better.

I eat clean but have a 9 year old so the occasional pizza or cheeseburger run happens a few times a month. Overall I'm in great health, look young for my age (so I'm told, but don't care) and loving life in my late 40's.

43 years old here. Started self administered TRT at 40 with an occasional blast with addition of other compounds. After about 2years, I found a Dr that prescribes test. I also get labs 2x year. Insurance pays for all labs and with a prescription, I pay $10 for a 10ml vial of cyp. Doc has me on 200 mg wk. he likes to keep my level in the 1100-1200 range. I’m 6’1” and weigh 210 lbs. I’m in the gym 4 days a week and try to maintain 12-14% BF. My diet is never perfect but I stay conscious of what and when I eat.

So I am 37 obviously know the feeling of exogenous test flowing in my veins and I hate the feeling is being normal. My current test is 336 and wondering if trt should be done at this point? I’m asking how you feel now on trt overall?

That is rare. A mainstream doc who RXs TRT and insurance that covers it all? Copay? Unheard of around here
