Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

Went off program and tried a conventional deadlift AMRAP with 500lbs for the hell of it. Got 500x10, which I think my all time conventional 10 rep PR was 495x10, so not bad with all the time off. All time sumo 10 rep PR was 565lbs.

After I catch my breath will finish up with 5x4 at 325lbs slingshot bench in place of bench with chains.

Week recap and plans and changes

Going forward I'm dropping the HGH for awhile to see if it helps with aches and pains. Also I think it'll bring my heart rate down a little. It's creeped up a lot this last month, which I guess is to be expected on a high test cycle.

I guess it's still within what's considered normal range, but it feels uncomfortable to me. Makes me feel anxious a lot. I'm used to mid 60's to low 70's since I got this Fitbit in December. My girlfriend says I should quit wearing it because I'm kind of obsessed with it and that probably makes it worse.

Blood pressure was also creeping up and I started up some Lisinopril a few days ago. Checked it this morning and it was 77/118, so hopefully that'll keep it in range.

Hip hurts pretty bad today. I've mostly just been lying around watching TV over the weekend and I'm sure that doesn't help. I was planning on getting back to regular lifting tomorrow, although a lighter squat training max.

Sleep was mostly decent besides a few days only getting six hours.

Food intake was good besides two days I woke up still full and couldn't finish my breakfast. I'm doing my food prep now and adding a tablespoon of olive oil to all my shakes. Also trying out a new protein bar recipe using almond butter and snickerdoodle flavor protein powder.

Got some board press singles with 380lbs coming up this week. Curious to see how that weight moves. Also finally got that MK 677 in yesterday that I ordered back in February. Not gonna use it for now as the water weight would add to blood pressure issues. Might throw it in at the very end of the blast if I totally fail to gain weight so I can maybe put up a bigger bench through increased body weight.

Well, looking at the videos bench wasn't terrible. Never any grinders, just not super fast. The 340x2 were maybe RPE 8ish. Just felt shitty. I'm like the Snickers commercials except I'm not me when I'm sleepy.
Is the heat getting to be a problem yet? Heat and lack of sleep is a nasty combo.
