Progress/training log part 2:getting beary serious

On an unrelated note....there is nothing wrong with stripping down in the locker room to change or go to the showers. But...its weird to stand in front of the sinks buck ass naked to shave right? Some guy was doing thag today and i thought it was just the strangest shit lol
...what was he shaving?
 
Alright smacked that workouts assss.

1.skwaats 5x5 255lb
2.front skwaat 5x5 135lb
3.deadlifts 3x2 405lb dead stop then amrap at 405lb for 3 reps touch n go
4.lat pull down 3x12 140lb
5.bent over row 3x6 185lb

could have maybe squeezed out one more on the deadlift amrap but i was pretty tired and in this final week of the program my lower back has been pretty fatigued and it didnt seem worth it to try and get one more sketchyy rep in.

Well gee willikers gang, how's it goin! I'm on my deload week so wont be a whole lote to report, macros gonna be the same as las week so i probably won post those everyday.
Workout today was quick and painless

1.squats 5x5 165lb did these real slow with a slight pause at the bottom just watchin my form.

2.bench 5x5 135lb slow and paused

3.deadlift 1x5 275lb

4.lunges 2x12 60lb dumbbells

5.incline flys 2x10 40lb dumbbells

And thats all she wrote yo.

On another note today was the final weigh in of the first 8 weeks of the bears program, i weighed in at 267.8 today so 2lb and some change down from last week started at about 278-280 so thats 10-12lb loss in 8 weeks while getting stronger so i mean...at this point i dont think anyone can say RT doesnt know what he's doing, this is working out better than i ever could have hoped so mad props to him.
Anyways if i can keep this up i should be right on track to be in the 250lb ballpark right around end of january like i wanted.

Only works because you are putting in the effort my man congratz. We'll have you in supreme condition this time next year totally new man then this time last year already so going to be a huge difference in only 2 years
 
Also got this sweet new chalk.

Its really fine and it left my hands feeling really nice and soft and not all dried out and it smells kind of like lavender for some reason. Didnt think there was a difference in chalks but this stuff is da bomb20161107_144536.jpg
 
When I was in county jail we had to ask for the hair clippers and the guards would bring them in for awhile and let everyone cut their hair. This one time this dude that was about to go home tied his blanket around the TV stand in the dayroom and got naked and shaved his pubes behind it. I never used the clippers there again.

Now im gonna go do nothing....unless the weather clears up then i may go on a hike or something, i really wanna do outdoor stuff but not in the rain haha

This lady at the gym, who is one of the few people i actually respect at this gym cuz she never does stupid shit and she doesnt half rep things, asked me if i could teach her how to do powercleans which i thought was cool, unfortunately i had to tell her that I'm probably not really qualified to teach anyone this movement since ive only been doing them a couple months and it's super involved :( recommended her some of the videos that helped me though so hopefully that'll help get her started.
 
I just started power cleans this month, too. RT has been helping me with form on them.

A Crossfit gym just opened right down the road from my work. I thought about going in and asking if anyone actually lifts and if someone does actually lift if they'd mind giving me some pointers on Olympic lifts. They probably wouldn't like that though.

Nice, they are actually alot of fun to do, looking forward to getting my form locked in so i can start tossing around some more weight on them.
