Progress/training log part 2:getting beary serious

Pretty blehh workout today

1.supposed to powercleans but apparently last week when my hand slipped i must have hurt something in there, warmed up and everytime in the catch it was just a sharp pain in my hand so after one set of 3 at 155lb i just stopped and did power shrugs 5x3 155lb

2.bent over rows 8x8 135lb

3.pullups 4x4 70lb counter

4.tri pushdown 4x16 150lb

5.cable low to high 3x12 50lb

6.rear delt fly 3x12 20lb

7.max pushup x 3 18,15, 12

8.side laterals 3x12 20lb

9.HIIT
-25 kbell swings
-25 jumping jacks
-sprints down and back x 3 maybe half a basketball courts distance.
-30 second plank hold
4 times over

Pretty bummed about not being able to do the cleans today, shit just hurt and worse than the actual pain was that i knew it was coming each time and i would just flinch and it was throwing me all off. Hopefully next week it will feel better. Not swollen or bruised that i can tell.

That tear in my hand has been there for like 3 weeks, almost heals up over the weekend then come monday i rip it right back open and its becoming a nuisance @RodgerThat @Perrin Aybara any tips or tricks?

My hand is one jiant callus and if I rip one it just goes to my secondary backup callus behind it so I don't know man. maybe toss on some athletic tape during workouts and polysporn it during the night.

Alright cool, i picked up some ointment and tape while i was in safeway getting dinner so i will give that a try.

I only have one set of calluses unfortunately, still got baby hands. It definitely happens a lot less often now but there are still some weak spots.

Anxious tonget back in the gym come monday, shit is starting to get real this week.

Got weight and rep pr's (for my natty and much lower BW form) for deadlift, rep pr's for squat, and weight pr's for bench and cleans so it promises to be an exciting and challenging week in the gym, lookin forward to it!

My man damn near bringing a tear to my eye with how much work you've been putting in, tons of respect for your grind. Toss on that lifting belt and make those PRs fly like brotha

Everything moved real nice like today, squats were smooth and fast, banded deads were like butter on warm toast all bueno.

Taped my hand up for deadlifts and it seemed to help so i guess thats the ticket till this tear heals up

Bench went well, first time ive had 2 plates on there in months so i was a bit nervous about it and asked someone to spot me just in case. Didnt need it. Competition paused it and blew it up pretty easy so im happy about that. The 3x3 215 i paused the first rep of each set and then tng for the lsst two 3x3 185 were all paused so im pretty happy about today.

Well nailed that 425 dead today, moved pretty fast. I was recorded it and when i went to pick my phone up i dropped it and it restarted my phone before the video could save, absolutely fuckin pissed my off cuz i wanted to see it but atleast i got the lift so whatever.
That'll be a PR for my weakened state, and only 50lb away from my best pull of 475 when i was idk like 50-60 pounds heavier and on da juice so thats lookin up.

3x2 at 405 moved well, full stops between reps, same with 1x5 365 no problemo.

Squats were challenging but nothing to get bent outta shape about.

All in all its been a hell of a week.

7.cardio it wasnt too cold so went outside and did kbell swings tires flips and lap around the parking lot and plank hold x4

Fuckin great today 315 moved easy as shit on squats, extra happy about that, i was expecting a bit of a struggle haha.
