Progress/training log part 2:getting beary serious

Holy shit boys, that was a fuckin cocksucker of a workout hahaha. Definitely had to dig deep!

1.skwaat 5x5 305lb 1x10 135lb
2.deadlift 5x5 405lb
3.lat pull down 4x10 130lb
4.powerclean pushpress 5x5 125lb
5.4 rounds hiit

Holy shit snacks, that was alot. Volume pr for 305 on squats i think, and definitely volume or for 405 deadlifts, prior to this i think the most ive done with 405 was 4x3 or 4x4 either way goddamn that was alotta repa haha. Feeling good though, great way to end the lifting week! But certainly looking forward to a couple days off, hands look and feel like i took a cheese grater to em.lol

2.bench supposed to be 5x5 205lb but it turned into a 8x3 205lb i just wasn't getting the 5's tonight
3.deadlifts 5x5 365lb
4.shrugz 4x12 225lb 1x20 135lb
5.cardio 4 rounds hiit.

Weight was 244lb even this morning so down a considerable amount after dropping carbs last week so the bossman has me keeping macros the same untill i level out a bit.

Squats went well and deadlifts were a breeze of course.

My bodybuilder body was doing deads while i was on squats and saw him pull 475 and it fuckin looked hard as shit even though he's a pretty big guy so now that's got me anxious as shit for my 475 attempt next week haha.

2.BOR overhand 5x5 165lb
3.banded pullups 4xamrap 6 6 6 6
4.tri pushdown with rope 4x16 100lb
5.cable low to high 3x12 50lb
6.rear delt flys 3x12 20lb
7.pushups 3xamrap 25 16 13
8.4 rounds hit

So i upped the weight on the clean n jerks tonight for a few sets, missed a few but i got more than i missed so im happy. Decided i have to start pushing a little harder on thode becauseni csnt keep letting those stupid weights push me around, cuz im the boss damnit haha.
 
I should say on the missed attempts i didnt drop the weight or snything but they were all that my catch was off so instead of doing a full clean snd dropping into the front squat i sort of just caught them and stood up with them like a powerclean.

It was a fairly rough workout, not so much in difficulty as everything moved well but i am just definitely feeling the fatigue, my body is like "hey, fuck you bro" lmao

I did something funky on the cleans yesterday and hurt my tricep. Didnt think much of it cuz it was gone by the end of the workout but i aggrivated it doing squats todaym going to take it slow tomorrow and if i start feeling it act up during my warmup sets i may lower the weights supposed to be 5x5 205 on bench but we will see how it's feeling.
Just really want to be as close to 100% as possible on sunday for 6x3 315 squats and 3x3 425 deads.

Had to belt up for the second half of my sets on the banded deads because my back was just feeling dead and my form was starting to break down considerably on the 4th set.

Everything hurts lmao but im not gonna let it get to me, got one push to nail some pr's in the next week and then i get that deload week plus my girl is going to be here for a week so looking forward to that.
 
Alright so so night.

1.flat bench 5x5 did 2 sets at 205 but the last rep on the second set was a bit of a grinder and my tricep deal started to flare up so did thenlast 3 sets 185lb
2.incline dumbbell 3x8 60lb
3.cable low to high 4x12 30lb
4.tri pushdown 4x12 80lb
5.straight bar curls 3x8 40lb
6.hammer curls 3x8 20lb
7.4 riunds HIIT

Just kept it light after bench didnt want to aggravate further and i managed to not do that so hopefully i can get through tomorrow and then the 2 days rest will hopefully get me good to go for next week.

If wednesday comes around and i get under the bar and its feeling sketchy i may just call it and take a couple extra days....i hate to do that but fuck i really want to be at my best for this next week, I've worked too hard to risk missing these big lifts due to a fuckin technicality ya feel me?
 
Well feelin a little bummed..

So i woke up this morning and my lower back was just killin me all day, even just sitting up or bending down to pick something up. So anyways i decide fuck it im gonna pop a couple advil and go workout anyways cuz mama aint raise no bitch.

So i go in and go through my sensational seventeen mobility routine, which is actually now like the tenacious 22 because ive added a few extra movements to it, and it's feelin ok, not great, but ok.

So i finish up and go start warming up for squats... just the bar no problem, 135 a little twinge but no big deal, 225 did a curtsy and felt fuckin terrible so racked it and decided i'll belt up and see how it feels so i go 225 again not great but not hurting too bad, 275 a little worse but still not awful.

So i toss 315 on there get under it just felt heavy, plus my arm is starting to flare up so i decided mets do one and see what it be like and fuck i barely got it back up so i just racked and decided the sensible thing was to not push it. Back was feeling just like it was right before i decided to try and push through and go for 405 last year (coincidentally happened right about this time)

Anyways.... i did some light accessory stuff just so i could get something in, and I did my cardio and called it a night.

Hate to be a quitter but i wasn't gonna make the lifts tonight and if I had been stubborn and tried I was going to end up with a fucked up back again.


So....my thoughts are that im going to take a few days off, will probably just go in and get some cardio in, and then do this day over, then take a couple more before i move into the last week.
A bit unorthodox but i dont see another viable option..

No cardio, went on a good hour hike earlier and 3/4 of it was uphill so i definitely got my heart rate up.

Took it slow tonight, extra warmup sets and was careful. Everything felt good 3x3 425lb is a deadlift pr fo sho.

Kept it light on the powerclean pushpress cuz my back was fatigued and didnt think it was worth it to push my luck. All in all a good night!
 
Oh yeah, forgot... weight was 243.6lb this morning. Bossman has me keepin the cals flthe same since it's a weird week and so i have some extra strength to get through this week. Taking a couple more days to rest up and make 100% sure my back/tricep are completely good to go and then im gonna kick week 8's ass!



Also another cool thing. I just found this shirt that i ordered online like 2 years ago and i was waaaaay too fat for but i just found in a box of stuff and it fits now! But i guess the fabric got weak from aitting for so long and i ripped the sleeve but will still function as a gym shirt haha.Screenshot_2017-03-15-23-49-55.png

2.bench supposed to be 4x6 205 but i dropped to 185 because after squats i was having a little pain in my left arm and didnt want to aggrivate it.
3.deadlift 9rpe amrap at 445lb got 3 reps! 3x3 385lb
4.pullups with band 4xamrap 8 6 6 6
5.shrugs 4x12 225lb 1x20 135lb
6.cardio 4 rounds hiit.

Super stoked 345x3 was a huge squat pr, most i have done to this point was 335 and that was only for singles so very happy as i was nervous about that.

Of course 445 for a 9rpe triple on deadlifts is absolutely huge for me. It was probbaly bordering on rpe 10 but im pretty confident i had one more left in me.

Man you guys im just as stoked as can be hahah
