Progress/training log part 2:getting beary serious

I worked swing shift at a factory about 5 or 6 years ago. I'd float and cover people on 3 different shifts got paid $2 more plus 2nd and 3rds shift premium:D, but it was real common for me to work 1st then come in for 3rd or work 2nd then stay for 3rd shifto_O I made damn good money and I learned how to sleep anywhere anytime. All I do is empty my mind of every thought then.....zzzzzzzzs
That is awesome. I can sleep anywhere. Just can't get more than 8 hours sleep straight.
 
Alright pretty good workout tonight considering it was bench day haha

1.bench 6x4 205lb
2.incline DB press 3x8 65lb
3.cable low to high 4x12 70 70 60 60
4.tri pushdown 4x12 150lb
5.4 rounds HIIT cardio

Pretty good night, i did miss the last rep on my 4th set of bench due to some poor footing and had my foot shift on me but other than that i got em all at about rpe9-9.5

And now it is officially spaghetti time <3

2.deadlift supposed to be 3x3 435lb failed first rep, dropped to 405 failed first rep, dropped to 385...failed on the first fucking rep. 3x3 325...

5.4 rounds HIIT for cardio

I mean this is literally like a bad dream, how the hell did i pull 475 at 9.5 rpe a couple weeks ago and come in today and fail 435? I just dont even know what to say. Lol. I dont feel bad, i feel fine, got plenty of sleep the last couple days...cancer maybe? Lol

Could that do it? I mean i hell i know it was a a big pr for me, but it wasn't like a grinder or anything.

I have a theory, i'm gonna wait to see what my weight is on wednesday but i have a feeling my TDEE has jumped considerably from going from a almost completely sedentary life to working a very physically demanding job for 9 hours a day.

It's seriously making my life unmanageable and makes me want to hop on a big cycle. Oh wait...

Fuckin A, i mean im used to having days where it's a struggle and i really have to dig deep, but missing pulls that i should be hitting no problem is goddamned unbearable. If i was a weaker man id be looking up sources myself lol

The only consolation prize for me right now is I'm making physique gains, whatever that's worth. Zero on the platform unfortunately.

Same, i noticed im starting to get leaner and veins on my arms and other leaner areas are starting to show more, but like you said if it's not helping my total...obviously i want to look better but im going for like a mediocre physique and superhuman strength lol

True but your still in a deficit....even more so by raising your activity level (new job). Maybe you should get @RodgerThat to hook you up with some more of that Canadian witchcraft where you loose weight, gain muscle and get stronger o_O20170416_230424.png

Yeah thats what im thinkin, i have a hunch that on wednesday i am going to be down a considerable amount of weight than what we are shooting for due to the added physical stress of this job. Hell, on friday alone i loaded and unloaded over two and a half tons of glass doors snd windows and such onto a truck.

Don't sweat it bud you know where I'm taking you with these training blocks and I gaurentee the end result that you want undoubtably with your work ethic, just gotta trust the system and a random guy on the internet you've never met before lol. But in all seriousness we knew a bad day was going to come eventually and we knew the work was going to throw things off it's a learning curb I promise I'll develop something to get over it but we ain't rushing to add calories until you've done your weekly weigh in and no sources for you unless you are sourcing out a good local butcher for them fine cuts :D. You've got one of the toughest training blocks you're going to tackle ahead of you right now just gotta get through it to get closer to that point of massive success.

Also whenever you have a bad day remember you've lost over 100lbs!!!! And still hit your all time best pull and your working load capacity is higher then when you weighed 350lb it's no small feat how far you've come so don't let today screw with your head you're solid bud

You may just be some woodland creature on the internet, but i consider you a damn good friend at this point, hell...damn near family honestly with all you've done for me, once I've got some time under my belt at the new gig and a comfortable stash of cash saved up i plan on grabbin my ol' lady and makin a trip up your way to check out the scenery and a get a couple lifting sessions in with ya.

I know I've made incredible progress, and believe me im not complaining, and damn sure not planning on quittin. Just getting pissed at myself cuz i know you put the time in to figure all this out for me and all i gotta do is pick the weight up off the floor and my damn body wont do what i already know it's capable of doing.

Hey man if you don't hit a number that's fine it isn't a waste of my time at all as long as you're putting in the effort. Done programig for lots of guys now and you're consistently going at it no excuses so we good:cool:

Yep, def contagious! Went in Friday to pull for first time since meet! Figured since I ripped 550 up so easy, even though red lighted, I'd do some triples at 500, nope, first set was 500 for 1 @ 9.9 RPE.lol. Had to drop down to 455 for 3x3. Wanted 5 sets, wasn't happening! On a brighter note, I did hit my 275 5x5 on comp bench! WTF
This cruise and cut is going to mentally fuck me!
