Progress/training log part 2:getting beary serious

I'm sure we will be able to get some lifting sessions in the near future my man then I can put you in a new world of hurt with hook grip on those pulls;)

Tried to hook 275 for RDLS the other night, thought my thumbs were going to explode lol.

Hey man if you don't hit a number that's fine it isn't a waste of my time at all as long as you're putting in the effort. Done programig for lots of guys now and you're consistently going at it no excuses so we good:cool:

Thanks man, yeah i'm just notoriously hard on myself haha

RDL have been killing my lower back. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've watching endless videos on how to do them and everything looks good on my end but the make my back hurt.

I have been. Guess I'll go back to the drawing board on them. I go all the way to the ground when doing them, so I get a great stretch.
Try putting your feet against the wall. And bend at the hips while keeping a neutral spine. The key is to keep the spine in it's neutral position. You might not get as deep a stretch, but your keeping your spine protected.

I'll try this. Thanks.
Went to my chiro yesterday and my neuromuscular therapist. The therapist ran a serious mobility test on my legs.

Hammies tight as fuck, IT band tight as fuck and hard. So she worked on my IT bands and hammies and showed me that stretch.

I've also been reading about stretching the hammies properly, and most round their back to try to reach as far as possible. But you have keep the spine neutral.

It's hard. I thinks it's funny as shit that squats and deadlifts don't hurt at all but RDL do. Most people would think the opposite

Naw it's actually not because the deceleration to do a proper RDL puts significantly more strain on your spinal errectors and core and usually that's people's weak link in bothy the squat and deadlift and that's why I incorporate it into a program where someone tends to goodmorning squat. The key is only go down as far as your hamstrings allow don't force the stretch if you aren't flexible enough, you have to hinge with the hips and if your back isn't flat the whole time you're either lifting too heavy or going too deep and aren't flexible enough

Another mediocre one haha.

1.squats 315x1 rpe 9 3x3 265lb
2.bench 4x2 185lb
3.deadlift supposed to be 3x5 405 but i could tell in my warmups that there was no way so did 3x5 365 which im happy i could atleast do that
4.shrugs 4x12 225lb 1x20 135lb
Ran out of time for cardio but i'll be running around at work all day so that should make up for it.

Weight was 241.9lb this morning so 1.7 down from last week, however...i wasn't able to have my morning glory untill i had been at the gym so probably closer to 2 and some change i would imagine.

Bout to hop in the shower and head to work.

Got a solid 8 hours of sleep, went to bed at like 7 and was up at 3 and worked out 4:30 to 6:30 will need to get there earlier in the future because by the time i got to deadlifts the place was crowded and i had to be extra careful to not make a peep lest i upset some of the sissies lol

It is infuriating...to have some pathetic blob of shit walk up to you and ask you to keep it down when you're killin yourself everyday tryna make some mofuckin gains.

I went off on a guy one time cuz i was already having a shitty day, now i go when there arent as many casuals there...only gym in town so i can't afford to get kicked out

Fuuuuck guys i screwed up last night, when i woke up to go to the gym i made the mistake of not immediately getting up and turning the lights on and getting ready and i "laid there for 5 minutes. Next thing i knew i was waking up to my 6 am alarm to get up and get ready for work.

So that was just an accessory day and my calories were right around rest day calories so just gonna cut my losses and move on to the next day.

Shit happens man.

Did what i could

1.squat supposed to be 5x5 305lb did one set with 305 and hit rpe 11 on rep 4 lol racked it, waited and did a single to finish the set then dropped to 285 for the remaining 4 sets

7.did 4 rounds of hiit because i went slightly over on fats and protein today....got my first check today and decided to treat myself to a nice steak so i bought a $20 ribeye and i planned on eating half and saving the rest for the next day but i havent been able to afford a decent cut of meat in a long while and it was just so damn good and tender and the blood and perfectly rendered fat and i...i just lost control and demolished the entire thing like a fuckin animal, didnt even use a fork..hahah it sure was good though 20170421_175615.jpg
The portion i planned on eating with some roma tomatoes and portabellos

Went out and splurged all over myself today. They were having a big sale at the nike outlet, new shoes, socks, and shorts.

Then hit walmart and got new jeans, wallet, more shorts, and some insoles for my work shoes to keep my feet happy.

It's nice to finally be able to afford a few luxuries like shoes without holes and bits falling off.

Hell yeah, first time I've bought stuff for myself in a long time and actually had no regret and felt good about it, here's to no more dead end jobs.
Turns out getting fired was the best thing to ever happen to me, otherwise I might just still be rotting at that store scraping change to make it through the month lol. Did the math and i will be making a littlw over double what i was at my old job, that means a tuneup and new shoes for my truck, and it means getting my license back finally.

Thanks man, i love a good pair of Nike hightops. Of course they dont do much for ankle support for me cuz i never actually lace em tight and tie em cuz im too cool 4 skool lmao.

Well went ahead and had myself a nice little workout after a little nap haha.

1.bench 4x2 205lb
2.BOR 6x4 135lb
3.bench 4x2 185lb
4.cable low to high 4x12 60lb
5.tri oushdown 4x12 140lb
No cardio tonight, meant to but i legitimately forgot lol.

Hit all my presses paused so that was nice, actually felt real good tonight, i think having new shoes made a difference as my feet werent slipping out of place or anything so i was able to stay tighter throughout the lift.

Anyways im gonna eat my last meal and then try and sleep for like 12 hours lmao
