Progress/training log part 2:getting beary serious

It sucks being the strong guy sometimes. I always end up the workhorse at work, too.
When when l first joined the army, I was far from the strongest guy. But I did what I was told got my work done in a timely manner and never gave my superiors shit. So they tried to work the dog piss out of me. At that point i made a decision not to disclosure my other small sets in networking if and computers. Then they'd want me doing everything.

Yeah, plus thats just how i an naturally. I will just work myself to death just cuz that's how i am lol.

I'm like you bro. My motto is I don't train to time. My training log is complete when my program for that day says it's is. No matter how tired I am and how bad the suck is.

This is how felt Saturday after deads. I still had bench and supplemental deads. Mind you I damn near passed out on one set of deads. But I wasn't leaving until I was done, or by ambulance.

We have this thing in the army when going through Special Forces. It's called cast or tab. You have to leave SF training with your tab or a cast or both. I've witnessed a soldiers going through SF with me. The last 40 mile forced March 75-100 pack. The kid had hairline fractures on bother legs. He couldn't walk. He crawled the last 10-15 miles. And of course with that will, heart and determination he was selected.

Fuckin A. I almost went in to the military, you know how the recruiters come to the highschools to talk to the seniors and they make it sound great haha. After all these horrir stories i hear i think i dodged a bullet, bot literally and figuratively, by deciding not to lol.

Well first day on the job went well, feels great to just get up and go to work even if waking up at 6:30 again is going to take aome getting used to.

Kind of boring so far, did a bunch of grunt work today, but once i get a better grasp of the job and get more confident with my glass cutting abilities i think it's gonna be great.
Coworkers and bosses are pretty cool people, set schedule 8-5 everyday and i dont think i will have to change lifting schedule any..just gonna be getting off at 5 going straight home for a nap and then getting to the gym at my usual time everyday.

Two 15 breaks and a 30 minute so plenty of time to get my food in, just ordered a nice 3 piecw glass tupperware set so i can prep my meals a little in advance.

Kicking back and having an ice cold beer to celebrate my return to the workforce.

Not good tonight guys.

1.squats 1x1 315lb 1x3 295lb 5x5 225lb

2.bench 1x5 185lb rpe9 20% load drop 5x5 150lb

3.deadlift supposed to be 6x3 385lb hit rpe 10 on first set...... dropped to 365 for the rest of the sets

4.pushpress 5x5 135lb

5.shrugs 4x12 225lb

6.15 on the bike for cardio

That was scary tonight....fuckin barely 3 with 385, pathetic.

Obviously im assuming it's the schedule change with work..went from getting 10 hours of sleep a night and barely doing anything in the day to 6 hoirs a night and working a fairly physical job for 9 hours a day, we'll know for sure on sunday when i have the day off.

Adjusting to a new job can be tough, especially if it's a physical job and you workout after work. I used to workout after work but do it in the am now so I have more energy for it.

Yeah for sure, i feel like it might be more the new sleep situation mostly as yeaterday was more of a light day at work.

I've been struggling as well broski. Keep at it, we will bust back into success soon!!
We always do brotha!
^^^^agree^^^^ am is best for me... I might get a case of dragum ass on real heavy days but who cares I'm at work ;)

Yeah going in pre work would be optimal cuz then i could just drag ass at work. I mean hell i get paid by the hour hahha

Going to try going straight home and just sleeping for 3 hours or so before i go workout see if that helps.

Only problem with working out in the morning is that the gyn staff starts showing up around 4am so then I'm not able to deadlift because they will bitch about rhe noise so i woild have to workout like 1-4 or something on deadlift days then just take a little nap befire i get up for work at 6:30 which would be doable if i got home at just went right to sleep from 6-12.

Just gonna play around with it and see what is going to work best.

Not much to say about tonight, just accessory work.

1.BOR underhand 6x6 175lb

3.tri pushdown 4x16 120lb
4.cable low to high 3x12 50lb
5.rear delt fly 3x12 20lb
6.pushups 3xamrap 20 15 12
7.10 minutes on bike not going super hard on cardio for the time being, constantly moving all day at work and usually while carrying something heavy.

One thing for sure my man, you are consistent. With all the changes in your schedule. All of it will pay off. Glad to sees you still pushing like boss!!!

Well took an hour nap that turned into a 3 hour nap lol. It was hard peeling myself out of bed but after a shower and a hefty snack i felt pretty good snd had a not too bad workout.

1.squats 10x2 250lb
2.ohp 3x6 95lb
3.RDL 6x3 275lb
4.SLDL 3x8 185lb
5.straight bar curl 3x8 65lb
6.hammer curl 3x8 30lb
No cardio, figured i got it in at work..loaded 2.5 tons of glass shower doors, windows etc for a dump run at work. Thats an actual number, not just making it up lol im a good little worker bee.

Anyways, this schedule may be the answer to my problems..i figure if i could do this jusy for my two hevay days during the week so i can get my workouts in prior to working a shifti may just be able to turn this around and get back to making some gosh darn progress, heres hopin!

Just don't skimp on the sleep. Personally if my sleep falls off it affects my lifts just as much as diet...maybe a little more:confused:.

Definitely, and im sure that is what has mostly been the problem. This way though i figure if i could be in bed by 7-8 i could get up at 1-2 and be home in time for a nap before work. Just gonna have to see how it goes.

Im a night person so obviously being in bed that early is far from ideal but it would only be a couple days a week and if it's what i gotta do to keep the gainz train chugging along then so be it.

I sleep 7-8hrs every night. Wife makes fun of how fast I go to sleep:oops: it's almost as soon as I hit the pillow :D I wore her fit bit for a bit after she got it turns out I go almost straight to rem sleep:cool:. She tosses and turns all night, I think she's just jelly.o_O

Wish I could sleep like that. I have to take naps to try and make up for sleep.

I worked swing shift at a factory about 5 or 6 years ago. I'd float and cover people on 3 different shifts got paid $2 more plus 2nd and 3rds shift premium:D, but it was real common for me to work 1st then come in for 3rd or work 2nd then stay for 3rd shifto_O I made damn good money and I learned how to sleep anywhere anytime. All I do is empty my mind of every thought then.....zzzzzzzzs
