Progress/training log part 2:getting beary serious

Missed gym yesterday. Only got about 4 hours of sleep the night before and had to wake up at 4 to catch early ferry to one of the sorrounding islands to deliver and unload a truck full of giant windows so by the time i got off work at 5 i was completely dead, then on top of that some of my good friends from back home just showed up in washington and came to visit me. Haven't seen them in about 2 years so that was really really great getting to see aome of my best friends out of the blue like that, really made my day.

This has been an insane week at work, stayed an extra 2 hours today to cut and flat polish 24 mirrors for someone to pick up early tomorrow, just been non stop go go go, raking in the money though so that's aomething to look forward to.

Good workout this morning. I was all ready to go to the gym last night but i was house sitting and just as i was leaving realized i didn't have any of my gym shit with me so i combined lasts night workout with todays workout.

1.squats 5 rep max at 9rpe got 275lb
2.bench 4x3 185lb supposed to be 205 but i was getting to about 8.5-9rpe so kept it to 185
3.5 minutes of hell deadlifts 275lb 1 rep every 10 seconds for 5 minutes
4.incline DDB bench 4x8 75lb
5.feont squat 135 amrap got 135 15 reps, ran out of breath before i ran out of strength lol
6.pendlay rows 5x5 135 155 175 185 175

Actually a pretty decent workout today. Gonna get some lunch and go out to the farm to work all day now haha money money money

single arm kbell swings 10 per arm

Well guys hopefully after this week i will have finally hit the 220 goal, gonna be a very cardio oriented crossfitty type week but coach thinks, and i support the decision, that it's what i need to finally push into the 220 mark and just be done with this nonsense

So all joking aside that shit had me gaspingfor air at the end of the first round and by the time i did the last burpee on round three i could just barely pick myself up off the fuckin floor lmao also i got a sick trap pump from those single arm kettlebell swings.

I did WODs for about 6 months, a few times a week plus a BB split on top of that. It was awesome tbh. I felt carved out of stone.

Your coach is correct. It will finish you up nicely! I'm really impressed with you bub. I've been following a handful of dudes logs over the past year and your log is on the top of that list. Definitely a motivating mother fucker you are!!!

Getting awful close. Never tried single arm kettle bell swings I may have to give that a try.

10 squat jumps
10 lunges (per leg)
Max effort battle rope till i started getting slow
Plank to failure

Fuckin hell, that squat jump to lunges is no joke, even with just bodyweight my quads were on freaking fire.

Felt really run down today from work, been coming in early and staying late all week and really going above and beyond doing shit that isn't my job, making deliveries and simple installs etc. I learned today that under the right circumstances i can, in fact, pick up an entire sliding glass door and load/unload onto a truck lol....it's got me pretty beat up but on the plus side the bossman said i have been doing so well, and to qoute him "kicking some serious ass" that he is going to bump my 120 day review up to 90 days so i could be looking at a substantial raise here pretty soon which would be fucking killer

Hellish cardio workout today

1.10 rounds of 20 second sprints 40 second walk
2.3 rounds 50 lunges into pushup amrap

Doesnt soundlike much but it felt like a lot lol

Decided to go to the basketball court and turn the sprint/walk circuit into some fullcourt layup drills to make it more interesting.

Those fuckin lunges though....i have never had such an insane leg pump before lol
 
Alright so workout tonight was

1.squats 5x5 185lb
2.bench 5x5 135lb
3.sumo deadlift (just for funsies) 3x5 225lb
4. Incline bench 2x12 115lb
5.front squat 2x12 115lb

Just sort of going to my default kind of deload deal for the rest of my week so i can start real training on monday and have all my worjouts during the week to free up my weekends so i can still work those days but also catch up on my sleep.


So today was the big day, finally hit the mark. Weighed in at 219.8 this morning so ya know what that means? This fucking cut is over, and operation retard strength begins soon. I will log these workouts here this week then next week will be havig a new log to start the next chapter of my journey which will be purely strength oriented and prepping myself to do a meet early 2018.

Thanks for everybodies constant support, means more than ya know to have a team rooting for me so yeaaahhhh lets get this shit!


Also, i will pop up some before after pics from start to finish at some point, just too tired tonight haha
